Something about Jake in this picture rings a bell.

That looks a little too big for Jake's slender fingers.

Jake made sure he got seen in LA this week.

First at LAX on Sunday

Then at the Chateau Marmont on Thursday

 And tonight at the Guys' Choice Awards

He was also seen out dining with friend and former co-star Carey Mulligan

And today out for brunch in LA

If Jake has really relocated to NYC then were did he get all these clothes he keeps showing up in,  because unless he's Mr. Mary Poppins, that backpack could never hold all these clothes.

So there has to be some place that is still home for Jakey in CA.  And probably more of an established home than some people would like it to appear.

Of course tomorrow they will all be talking about Jake in NYC.  Since he is heading out of LA tonight to return to New York to present at the Tony Awards Sunday night.

Jake wasn't the only thing that returned in LA this week.  So  did the jewelry.

Missing something?

Looks like Jake was a bit bi yesterday, Bi-Metro-(politan) that is, with lunch in NY and dinner later in Toronto, and never needing a wardrobe change.Maybe Jake's plan with sticking to casual classics is working. Could this be the Summer of the Green Cargo Pant Part 2? Or will it be the Summer of 50 Shades of Grey (Goose) Shoes?And it does look like he got a bit of a trim for the those chestnut locks. The beard...still there...but it does look a little less wooly.But there was something missing from the ensemble wasn't there Jakey-boo?
A certain accessory perhaps, that was causing you "digit fidget" (TM M&M)?

All of use have experience sense memory from a ring. And what do you do? Absently touch it like it is still on.

Oh and don't think it's a haptic memory flashback from the Subway on the Vegas Road Trip ... last summer. Oh no, no no. It had to be recent. Like wearing and just taking it off pretty recently, perhaps just before walking out of the house that morning.Then last night Jake pops up at TO for dinner at the bar. The best way to dine on your own without having someone thinking they can pop a squat at your two top because you are all alone.

Tomorrow it will back to work for the casual thespian.

But today?

Queening it up.

Run Rings Around It

With the new crops of old pictures of Jake popping up on IHJ, it causes a little stop and reflect moment.

Jake joined Salma on Earth Day, April 22, 2005. Not only did Jake wear all the outergear to keep him warm and toasty but he knew how to accessorize.

And on his finger two gold rings.

Then Jake pops up in New York May 1st, in a blue hoodie that matched his baby blues, he's sporting something new. No not that scarf tucked under the hood. The new ring he's sporting with the two he had on just 9 days before.

For months nothing was said about what this ring meant. But it was in press conference for BBM in Toronto, that he talks about it, as a black diamond engagement ring. And who did he say he was engaged to? Himself.

Now it's funny how he gets an engagement ring back in April, the week of Austin's 25th birthday.

And it's not only Jake who gets ringed that year. Austin gets a ring in 2005 with a big blue stone that looks like a Larimar. And then there's Jake vacationing at a Dominican Republic (where it's the only place where Larimar exsists) exclusive Tortuga Bay resort.

Could it all be related?

Collider has given us more info on EoW and it definitely shows that Jake has returned to his indie roots.

Instead of a major studio backing the picture it's former Paramount head John Lesher's own label and this is the label's first film. The shoot was a tight scheduled of 22 days as opposed to “studio” movie which can run 40 to 90 days.

Jake read the whole script, which writer/director David Ayers wrote in just six day, in an hour and immediately called up to do it.As mentioned before on OMG the film was shot with unconventional camera coverage. In addition to how you would film a regular film Ayer turned the cast and the technology of the moment into cameras. From Jake and Mike having cameras strapped to their chest they operate those cameras as well as using handheld cameras to tell their story. And during filming they themselves had control of how and what they filmed and put them in the director's chair thinking about the camera in terms of a character.

The partners are carrying cameras on them all the time in the movie as a part of storyline. Officer Taylor is using it for the filmmaking class he's taking.Ayers' goal is to create a real raw in your face POV style kind of movie and incorporates things like gang members’ cellphone cameras, dashcams from inside cop cars, TV news footage, citizens’ cameras, and surveillance cameras with traditional filmmaking to help tell the story of best friends and honest LA Cops over 8 months of their lives. He wanted to create a real portrait of police officers in South Central LA and the film will always follow the point of view of officers. Jake or Mike either together or on their own will be in every scene of the movie and their viewpoint is always there.

Ayer brought on friend Jamie Fitzsimons, a 15 years LAPD vet in South Central, as the technical advisor. Jake and Mike Pena went through five months of training in order to prepare including shooting, tactical training, fight training, drivers training and visits to the academy. They said Jake got so immersed into the character and prep "that he no longer uses his right hand when he’s out because he’s been taught that his right hand always needs to be free to reach for his gun." And because the guys had prepped so much, Ayer would write pages on the spot and they would be able to nail scenes them straight away.

Jake was seen with his fellow co-star Anna Kendrick and Ayers and some others from EoW this weekend grabbing food at Subway. (Jake grabbing a $5 Footlong?)

Now we've heard that EoW was filming the end of last week, and the current story is that Jake and EoW crew flew up to Vegas yesterday, which doesn't make much sense. Especially if Jake was in LA on Sunday. Looks like mix-n-match dates.

Makes you wonder if the picture with Anna happened on Saturday, and for some reason Jake got a little nervous about what would get seen, and asked a friend to help him out on Sunday, just in case.
Could it be he's carrying two sandwiches? The close crop of pictures? Or the that he is off set but seems to be wearing a gold wedding band on his left ring finger?Because if they prop master would let Jake keep his badge on between scenes, he's not going to let Jake travel home from Vegas with a prop wedding band on.

Might have been Slow PoP but it didn't fizzle...

The Prince withing striking distance of making $300 million at the box office has been crowned the biggest video game movie of all time, pulling ahead of Tomb Raider by over 20 million to date.

So what does that mean for the newly crowned royalty? Well gamer site Kotaku put it this way:

"With DVD sales yet to add to that tally, it's surely enough to warrant a sequel, one where they'll no doubt make him a lot angrier, and we'll all look back on the first film with rose-tinted glasses and say how amazing it was."

All that metal your wearing with those bracelets and the water and sun well..... the glare...I mean that could ... well it's shiny...you know very reflective...almost blinding.... good thing to see eye protection.

Ohh and one more thing Do think its a good idea to wear black in the hot humid South in June? Ohhhh it's very nice shirt that Global Green makes and it does make you stand out from the rest of the entire group, but whew... that would be a melter.

There are so many people, so much wildlife, and countless communities impacted by this spill and in so many ways. Whatever way you choose to help or group you choose to support it is now when it is needed. Doesn't matter who said it or how it was conveyed.

Julian shows his finished film to Brooke Davis (TM) who will just point out how great her designs look on screen while trying to seduce Julian one more time. (Is it that she fears he's more interested what his lead actors are doing and don't mean Alex?) Feats of Clay is forced to deal with the crazy head on, with Katie "I'm the Doppelganger for your dead wife". And some how so lickity split Julian will get that quick the film edited but accepted at a film festival. Road trip to Utah.

Oh Brooke Davis (TM) you think you can work a red carpet. But can you work like this?
