With The Muppets being such a hit, and the franchise looking renewed maybe Jake should look at moving from Sesame Street to the Muppet Movie.

Rainbow Connection

With Alexander, a handsome Aussie pro surfer-turned-young mogul coming to Tree Hill to be Brooke's menswear designer what will happen? Buddy TV has a poll up with about who will be the first he seduces, and guess who made that list. Julian. We know that Victoria hired Alexander, but did she know something about Julian Brooke didn't. Was there foreshadowing in Victoria's and Brooke heart to heart about Julian or just thinking of her daughter? Then again will Alexander seduce Brooke or Julian or both?

Jake's Sesame Street episode number of the day is the number 12, but will Austin' One Tree Hill's number be 3 as in threesome?

Austin is no stranger to threesomes, and the devil's threesome at that, on screen, Six Feet Under and The Informers. But will One Tree Hill be third times a charm?

For a while Hollywood had cut back on showing smoking on the big screen, but it is slowly making a comeback, seeing more movies that have a character who smoke. You don't really think about it, because Jake was so careful of not being seen smoking that you don't realize how many of his roles smoked.



The number of times you see Jake smoking off screen are rare.

The word was a while back that Jake was trying to quit. Right around the time tiny people showed up and not a dancer in the bunch.


Reminder look for Jake on Sesame Street on PBS tomorrow (check local listing for times) he is reported to be seen hanging out with a purple octopus.

OMG's 2nd annual Cooking Klatsch is tomorrow, what a better way to kick of Hanukkah and Christmas.

Jake's got a couple of appearances this week. First he is hanging with a clingy octopus on Sesame Street, this Friday. It is the Rainbow show, sponsored by the letter O and the number 12. And the word du jour will be separate.



Then on Saturday Jake will be hitting the Spike TV's Video Game Awards where he will be presenting the award Game of the Year. Jake's also bringing with him a special clip of Prince of Persia for the gamer crowd.


Disney must be confident in taking PoP straight to the gamers at the award show of the year. Maybe Bruck has broken the curse and made a the blockbuster video game movie all have been wanting over the years.

While Sesame Street and Video Game Awards seem unrelated, in a way the aren't. Both capture the imagine, encourage play, and creative, have monsters, and a lot of fun and games, and you can learn something before you realize it. But doubt that Elmo will be ever on Spike.

Knew all about the jellyfish, and how much he loves sushi. But who knew Jake like to hang with sea creatures who are all hands? ; )

Story in the Pittsburgh paper about the reporter's family of Gladys Kravitzes ( Must say if I ever had a cat, I would name it Mrs. Kravitz, best cat name ever) who were getting there Gladys up when Jake and Anne were filming. The reporter explains that "anyone spreading gossip is Kravitzing and, if the dirt is good, can at least temporarily hold the title "Gladys of All Kravitzes." And this Kravitzing was about Jake and Anne.

It was our daughter Clare, celebrating her 10th birthday that night, who provided the best reporting of the evening. When I asked what she thought of seeing a famous actor on her birthday, she said, "It looked like he really had to go because he ran into Hoi Polloi."

Jake says he can't, he has to run. We find the trailors and he is alrady inside, but after about 1/2 hour, comes out and, this is NO JOKE, APOLOGIZES TO US FOR MAKING US WAIT. After everything I had heard about this guy, he told us he was sorry for making us wait, took pictures with us, talked for a little while. And signed 1 per, personalized and thanked us for being fans. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Reading is FUNdemental

Jake is popping up on another children's program for PBS this year, and this one is a little familiar or is that familial?




Jake is part of this clip promoting reading on the new The Electric Company show this season. How is it so familiar or familial to him? Mom G was a senior producer for The Electric Company, where she worked with Morgan Freeman as Easy Reader. Naomi spent two years traveling the country, seeing all the different ways people were taught to read as they developed the Easy Reader component of the show.. So it has come full circle Mother/son with Jake promoting reading on the same show 30 plus years later. What better gift to give than the gift of reading, it opens whole new worlds.

This is Jake third childrens programming project this year, celebrating Sesame Street's 40th anniversary, along with Maggie, by getting to Sesame Street this season. And then there is his project with Shalom Sesame, teaching children about their Jewish heritage. Mom must be proud since, she was also a content producer for the original Sesame Street, and also created short, animated films. (If she was responsible for The Alligator King, lots of gold stars)

It's not the first time that Jake was involved in reading and kids, his first time was narrating the book The Man Who Walked Between The Towers. It's great that Jake is getting involved and giving back to the preschool set. Wonder if that familiar or familial? Or just a flock?

When Elmo meets Jakey

We've said before: "Jake can get the Muppet face pretty easily and in a chat between Elmo and Jake you're not sure who would break into giggles first."

And we've asked, "So if Austin is Burt would that make Jake Ernie?"

Now it looks like we are going to get see Jake on the most famous street on TV. Sesame Street.

Jake and Maggie are just one of the celebrities who will stop by Sesame Street to help celebrate their 40th birthday. And it make sense that they would want to join in and celebrate. They both know little people who will love to seem them with their favorite friends on Sesame Street, and Sesame Street is also close to their family. Mom, Naomi might not have worked on Sesame Street but she worked for the Childrens Television Workshop as a writer for Electric Company. Childrens Television Workshop created and produced both Sesame Street and the Electic Company.

Sesame Street is all about parody, that makes you wonder what are they going to parody about Maggie and Jake? Will it be something with Big Bird since Jake loves birds? Will it be Who are the People in Your Neighborhood? How about One of these things is not like the other?

How about some J friends?



Or maybe there is another letter to sing about instead of C





Just gotta ask will the show they're on be sponsored by the letter T?

Kid Stuff

You think Jake is a Sesame Street kinda guy or a Yo Gabba Gabba boy?

Jake can get the Muppet face pretty easily and in a chat between Elmo and Jake you're not sure who would break into giggles first.

On the other hand Austin could do Sesame Street in earnest, but you know he is getting down with Muno, Brobee, and the rest with DJ Lance Rock on Yo Gabba Gabba when he's got down time on location and there's nothing to watch.

But you could see Jake dancing on Yo Gabba Gabba how could you not with bands like The Shins, The Aggrolites, Cornelius, Shiny Toy Guns, Supernova, Mark Mothersbaugh, Rahzel, The Postmarks, Sugarland, Low, Mýa, The Salteens and series co-creator Jacobs' band, The Aquabats.

And he could join other special guest like Tony Hawk, Laila Ali, Elijah Wood, and Biz Markie.



And come on how could he not fall for Brobee, or want to dance like Nathaniel.



You wonder if they're both watching - you know cause they're good .. uncles.

Don't even start about Boohbahs, you've gotta be tripping watching that and they kind a look like.. oh never mind.
