Kids Stuff

Jake's still in San Francisco this morning and playing a little peek-a-boo.

My son played peek-a-boo with Jake Gyllenhaal while we were standing in line @ritualcoffee this morning! Great start to the day. :-) - @lifeofc

Back in 2009 Austin's schooled them on Patty-cake on the set of OTH.
"Austin is way cool! When i was there at the beginning of November ... they were filming and then during their break .. Sophia and Jana were play 'patty cake' and Sophia just couldn't do it .. so Austin grabbed a crew guy .. and he was like "this is how you do it!" and he was so good! lol it was funny!" - lee_loverxox (othforums)

Is it any surprise they've got these two down?

Wait ...what were you thinking? It's sounds like they're what?.... : )
Wonder what other games their good at? Hide & Seek? Chutes & Ladders? Don't Spill the Beans?

Hide the sausage??

After the kids are in bed, I'm sure Hide the Sausage would be one of them. If they have the energy. LOL

Good for Modern Family cleaning up last night at the Emmy's. I love that show - Cameron and Mitchell are my favorites. But I love Jay and Phil, too. Gloria's character is good, too.

I took a look at the Comments on Ted's post on Modern Family winning and good grief, a lot of the comments were nasty. It's scary to see how some people are so hateful towards a television show when you have other shows which focus on violent crimes, adultury, drug use, embezzlement, etc. and they're not in such a frenzy about that, are they?

I can only imagine Jake's spontaneous peek-a-boo while waiting for coffee and the grin he got getting that little boy to giggle.

No, I am not obsessed with Jake Gyllenhaal, okay? Now get out of here before I sick my dogs, Pawprints of Persia and Donnie Barko, on you.

Just got a text from my bff that Jake Gyllenhaal is on her flight to Greece. He was wearing shades inside. Way to not draw attention.

Correction: I guess she's on her way to NY first, then Greece. #thatshowrumoursgetstarted

Let's see a week after finishing up EoW, Jake finds his way East. Hmmm, who is on the East Coast?

So, do you think we'll see pictures of Jake in NY?

Finally, the end of DADT. Woo hoo.

And another woo hoo because yesterday I was able to get a rush ticket for $40 to see the Proposition 8 play last night. It was so thrilling and touching to see somethin

g like that done on Broadway with all those stars. Unfortunately the male plaintiffs were not given too many lines (the women got a lot more), so I didn't get to see a lot of Bomer in action, although he was center front stage. But it was great seeing John LIthgow, Morgan Freeman and Bradley Whitford as the attorneys in the case, Rob Reiner as one of the experts, and other great people.

Before the show out front I found myself 5 feet away from the real attorneys, David Bois and Ted Olsen, and for me that was as exciting as seeing any stars.

WASHINGTON (AP) — After years of debate and months of final preparations, the military can no longer prevent gays from serving openly in its ranks.

Repeal of a 1993 law that allowed gays to serve only so long as they kept their sexual orientation private took effect Tuesday at 12:01 a.m. EDT.

Some in Congress still oppose the change, but top Pentagon leaders have certified that it will not undermine the military's ability to recruit or to fight wars.

President Barack Obama issued a statement saying he is confident that lifting the ban will enhance U.S. national security.

"As of today, patriotic Americans in uniform will no longer have to lie about who they are in order to serve the country they love," he said. "As of today, our armed forces will no longer lose the extraordinary skills and combat experience of so many gay and lesbian service members."

The Army was distributing a business-as-usual statement Tuesday saying simply, "The law is repealed," and reminding soldiers to treat each other fairly.

Great day Destiny.

DADT is Dead

It is a great day indeed. Another obstacle falling. And yes Prop8 and DOMA are next.

Not sure how many have seen this story.

Actively serving Navy Lt. Gary Ross, and his partner of 11 years, Dan Swezy were married at the stroke of midnight in Vermont at the first possible moment after the repeal of DADT.

HBO is showing a excellent documentary today about the history of DADT, how it affected those who were gay or lesbian serving in the military and what it created.
