I've Got My Eye on You

Ever notice Austin's real life resembles former co-star Ed O'Neill's projects.

Well first off there's the Dutch thing

and then

Married with Children

Well it looks like Jake is saying he is:

"I don't have a brother, thank God!" he says, "I do have a brother-in-law now, but that would be weird. Anyway, I believe that I think that we all have a great ability to move towards 'Our impulse is anger' or 'Our impulse is violence'. I think I speak for myself as a married man that there are things that come in what you want to do, what you feel like you should do, and what you should do."

This is a direct quote from Jake in an interview with for Brothers.

And who else would Jake be married to? If he had married Reese or some else he dated there would be no reason it wasn't splashed across every magazine Ev could have gotten her hands on.

Ted has referred to both Toothy and Goose as hubby, and said they are legit, that sounds like they tied the knot.

We know there are those bands of gold.

Could they have followed their TDAT co-star Emmy's lead and gotten a sealed confidential marriage when they were able to during California's small window of opportunity in 2008?

And has Austin been giving away he own hints about "ma familia"?

Could have this twitpic on August 29 been a clue?

Little small for BT1 or BT 2

And is it connected to a cautious Jake coming out and checking his car at a very secluded friends house in the Hollywood Hills on August 28th. Why would the paps follow him there, not their usual m.o. in Jake pap pictures.

Could this now be the picture of Goose family now?

One thing for certain it's a Modern Family.

Special thanks to M&M for the amazing find of the Cinemasource. com article.

Out Spotlight

Today's Out Spotlight is not about one person but a group of people coming together to make a difference beyond the gay community. Today's Out Spotlight is Gay for Good.

Gay for Good's aims to energize and mobilize the LGBT community to interact with city communities by volunteering time to various social welfare and environmental service projects. It wants to bring goodwill and understanding between the LGBT and greater other city communities through regular collaborative volunteer service projects.

Back in the fall of 2008, during a usual Saturday morning hike in the hills of LA, friends Frank Roller and Steve Gratwick talked about wanting to do more volunteer work. At the time they were inspired by the triumvirate of events happening: then-president elect Obama’s volunteer initiative, the biopic “Milk” and the passage of California’s antigay Proposition 8. They wanted to find a way how to take LGBT people beyond the “gay community” and into the larger world to actively do some good.

A year and a half later along with Tony Biel, whose gay hiking group Take a Hike brought the two friends together, Gay for Good was founded. Since it started G4G has completed more than 18 day-long volunteer projects around LA, mostly focused on tangible environmental pursuits, like landscaping and cleanup. “Because of the hiking group and the location, we have a lot of people who enjoy the outdoors,”. Every month 50-150 gay men and a few women "get to meet people outside the bar scene, learn something new, and have a feeling of accomplishment for an environmentally positive job well done."

Gay For Good is open to everyone. Each month G4G selects a non-profit organization to donate their time through a weekend service project. They also have regular pot-luck dinners or happy hours to connect and build friendships.

It's not about donating money but just time, energy and a positive attitude while at the same doing something valuable in cities and communities while meeting other great people in the LGBT community.

To achieve this mission they:

Identify and connect with environmental and social welfare organizations in each city chapter (including organizations not traditionally associated with the LGBT community)

Support select organizations primarily through volunteer service (time), rather than financial contributions

Coordinate regular social events for G4G members to develop friendships and network

Foster and promote a spirit of positive, enthusiastic camaraderie both within the LGBT community and towards our partner organizations

Do something valuable for our community, city and country

Above all, make a positive difference and have fun!

G4G has grown beyond LA with chapters in San Francisco and San Diego, Boston, Chapters in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Chicago are in the works.

Some of G4G projects

Planted trees in fire-scorched Malibu in partnership with Tree People
Landscaped a senior community housing complex
Cleaned up a trail on Santa Catalina Island
Cleaned up LA’s Ballona Creek, which leads to the Pacific Ocean
Picked oranges to distribute at local food banks with Food Forward
Beach clean up in San Diego
Gathering supplies and staples for Rosie's Place (a shelter for homeless women) in Boston

G4G volunteers clean up Runyon Canyon Park in Los Angeles.

Body of Work (Out)

Talking about transformation. Jake was nominated for Men's Health movie awards for Best Body Transformation for Prince of Persia. He was up against Garrett Hedlund (TRON: Legacy), Adrian Brody (Predators) and Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter). Wahlberg came out on top.

Tough competition but Jake's consistently looked top of the heap.

Know that Judy Greer would have voted for Jake in the poll. Check out what she has to say about working with Jake after he did PoP.

Twist Off

Scott, he had previously done this with as a 2 and 1/2 and but this time he's doing it with a Twist. Let's see what happens.

That's right Dick, the Twist makes all the difference. This is going to be something totally different.

We are looking a degree of difficulty of 5.8

What Would Brian Boitano Do? Brian?

Well I would go for it.

Here they go! It's all about their form, keeping their edges and sticking the landing.

Unbelievable!!!!!! With the Twist he goes for it! A quad! Who would have thought it was possible.

I did.

You always do Dick.

I'd say you just saw your first Texas Twister.

What a performance, what you have seen here is history in the making. The sheer stamina! The lifts! And the counterclockwise spin at the end.

This is what is called a real partnership. You don't get this very often, this is a one in a million.

Blades of Glory
doesn't even come close. Chazz Michael Michaels/Jimmy MacElroy pack your bags and go home.

There is only one word for what we've seen today, Scott.

Happy Austin Friday!

Covering your tracks

With all the stories coming out about what Jake was doing in Nashville for two nights. (While someone flew to Mexico) OMG thought about helping them out with some more ideas.

Top Ten Things you might have done your second night in Nashville if you are Jake.
10. Looking for a late night screening of Altman's Nashville in Nashville.

9. At Night Court looking for inspirational ideas for Austin to bring back to writers at OTH.

8. Looking for a record deal, showcased at the Bluebird Cafe under the name George Dickel.

7. Had to find out how much Minnie Pearl paid for that hat.

6. Wanted to see Country Strong without the crowds.

5. The coffee junkie he is wanted to go to the site of the original Maxwell House Hotel and see if it really was good to the last drop.

4. After guitars and diamonds, had to go bigger so Gyllenswift "bought the farm"

3. Trying to figure out what the tonk in Honky Tonk is.

2. Waited and waited downstairs at the hotel. Confused thought it was Nashville and geese who parade down the middle and jumped in the fountain in the lobby. ( It's The Peabody Hotel - Memphis)

and the number one

Moonshine run between Nashville to NC for a different kind of "moon"shine.

Tonight on The Crazy Tree

“The Drinks We Drank Last Night” (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

It's Girls Gone Wild for BrookeDavis'(TM) bachelorette party. Hung over and foggy Mama Baker and the girl try to piece together the night before amidst the wreckage and liquid libations : tramp stamps,(where's Jake!) piercings, bullriding, bootdrinking and bulldogs riding skateboards. Oh and BrookeDavis(TM) loses that rock of a ring that Julian gave her. (Maybe she's trading it in for two rocks. His.) What is the rest of the cast doing? Who cares! It's all about BrookeDavis(TM). Sure Julian is folding napkins and practicing his karaoke of "Hopelessly Devoted to You" as a soprano. (and not in Tony Soprano kind of way)

Get out and Ride - it's Two Wheel Tuesday.

Rock the boat

The Arctic Sunrise is in Wilmington, NC. So awesome. This boat could tell some stories

Austin's got a story to tell, but is it the script or the picture he tweeted?

There is a familiar ring to it. There was something purposeful how he showed. And it's not his first flashing ..... some jewelry.

And he just tweeted : Day 4 of prep. Record voice over with actor. Go shoot scenes as an actor in other episode. Then back to prep and meeting with the boss.

With stories of him and Sophia hanging with Zac and Vanessa in NC, and Taylor and Jake in TN , it seems there are so many stories that it gets confusing.

Then again that just might be the point.

Think Austin learned a thing or too working with super secretive Chris Carter but isn't saving it for behind the camera? Talk about covert, but even Carter spills a secret or two if you know what to look for.

Musical Monday Moment:

Out Spotlight

Today's Out Spotlight is a leader as the executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality, the largest transgender rights organization, and a leading activist in the transgender community. Today's Out Spotlight it Mara Keisling.

Mara Keisling was born Mark Keisling September 29, 1959 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, one of seven children to the governor’s chief of staff (his father).

Mark was a reserved and quiet as a boy growing up. "During junior high, I was shy to the point where I feared giving a book report in front of the class."

Keisling became more extroverted after joining the school's Model U.N. Club, where he found his calling in the political arena. He graduated from Penn State University, and then went on to pursue post-graduate work in American Government at Harvard University.

In the 1990's, after Keisling had told friends and family he'd felt like a woman since childhood, he began his transition to Mara. Then soon turned to activism after seeing the discrimination transgender people face. Keisling co-chaired the Pennsylvania Gender Rights Coalition and served on the steering committee of the Statewide Pennsylvania Rights Coalition.

In 2003, seeing the need for a cohesive voice in Washington for transgender people, Mara Keisling founded the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE), a social justice organization dedicated to advancing equality through advocacy, collaboration and empowerment. It was the first professionally-staffed transgender-specific organization working at the national level in the United States.

NCTE gives a voice to the transgender community and works to strengthen the transgender movement and individual investment in this movement, to advocate for its members, maintains a federal transgender activists' network, monitors federal activity and communicates and educates it's members.

Keisling and NCTE were among the leaders of UnitedENDA, a coalition of more than 400 GLBT organizations lobbying for a trans-inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

Keisling has over 25 years of professional experience in social marketing and opinion research. She has received numerous awards from PFLAG, the Equality Forum, GayLaw, the Transgender Law Center, the Harvard Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender and Supporters Alliance and Out for Work, among others, and is a frequent speaker at events, colleges, and government agencies. In 2005, Harvard University named Mara Keisling Outstanding LGBT Person of the Year.

Keisling continues to serve as executive director at NCTE, which is now the largest transgender rights organization in the world. She is also a working parent.

"What's important is that transgender people are respected as members of the community—that they are safe from discrimination and violence and disrespect."
