Proof in the Pictures

What was Jake thinking wearing too big jeans and that big blue schmata to the Dr. office? He looks like he wearing someone else's clothes. Maybe there wasn't much left in the closet to wear.

Clearly he doesn't want the photographers to see what he is saying in his phone. Maybe he was putting the death blow to Reeke 2, death by gravy boat.

Here's Ted's Lastest:

Gyllenspoon Round 2 Not Happening

As if there was any doubt.

Just thought we'd just make super-duper sure, ya know, just in case Jake Gyllenhaal changed his mind at the last minute before the press-crazy Prince of Persia premiere. Thinking, I dunno, maybe he'd want to take Oscar-winning ex Reese Witherspoon as his date. Instead of his sis, Maggie, the rents, BFF Austin Nichols, or even that that octopus from Sesame Street Jake bonded with recently.

"It's not happening," insisted a source close to Jake. "No way."

But you do know how pushy publicists can be in situations like this, don't you?

Just look at WWK's fab scoop on Supernatural star Jared Palecki's engagement to his costar Genevieve Cortese, if you don't believe me.

Now, let's see, it was only secs ago Jared was engaged to what's her face, right? Sandra McCoy? Lasted for about as long as this one will, probably, or about as long as Reese's rumored engagement to Jake did, for a better example. Point is: These stars have product to sell, and part of the selling is the personal.

To witness, who gave better bike-ride and mocha latte photo-op love than former Rendention stars, Jake and Reese?

Not a photo-op but who can do coffee and bikes better?

Our inside Gyllenhaal source would not comment, either way, regarding the source of the split—a disagreement over decaf or regular frappacuinos, maybe? They only assured us Jake ain't goin' back there. Ever.

Off Book

Remember Austin describing Julian's and Brooke's relationship like the story The Notebook and wondering what the he..? Because from what you saw, you thought what notebook is he reading?

Well there may be a reason he mentioned The Notebook and it has nothing to what's happening on screen but off involving a co-star. Now before the discussion returns they aren't dating vs. they are dating, it has nothing to do Sophia.

Who is it? Bethany Joy Galeotti. She and record producer Ron Aniello, wrote music based on Nicholas Sparks' 2004 tearjerker. They workshopped the musical in a small black box theater in October in front of Broadway producers and investors, and with the feedback overwhelmingly positive.

And who was in the audience for the workshop? Austin. Just another time we see him supporting a fellow cast member in their other creative pursuits. “It's amazing to think she wrote all that music”, saying he truly enjoyed the production. “It was great".
Update and clarification: The workshop/blackbox performance was in Wilmington. Thanks OTH.

And new from Ted:

Dear Ted:
Now that Jake has broken up with Reese, I would have thought his good friend Austin Nichols would be spending some quality time trying to cheer Jake up. But if tweets leading up to a well-timed photo of Jake just flying into L.A. this week are to be believed, these two amigos are never in L.A. or any other place at the same time.
—Twitter Skeptic

Dear East Coast Lovin':
They cheer each other up more often that you think.

Austin in New York in October? Or some where else on the East Coast? hmmm. And not one picture? Who else did that happen to?

Now a little OTH spoiler

Sportsarc is casting male and female tennis players for an upcoming episode of One Tree Hill... Call offices at (213) 613-2750 for more info.

Think Austin will get to show off some of those Wimbledon skills? Bring on those tennis whites.

Golden Oldie

A little history lesson, it's probably review for most but maybe new for some. But sometimes things look a little different when you put them in time line.

"I was introduced to a guy on sunday night. I've seen him before and sorta
developed a little crush on him over the past few months, so this was technically
more of a set-up, really. He was sweet, but shy, hardly making any eye contact and
keeping his comments to a minimum. Also, he wasn't as receptive as i'd hoped he
would be, and we never did exchange numbers before the night ended, despite
trading looks and glances and smirks back and forth over the course of an evening.
But, then again, i suppose it doesn't help when you're guest starring on one of the
more popular television shows (SURFACE) right now and being interrogated by three
drunk gay men at one of more photographed golden globes pre-parties in beverly
hills. Still, watching him (AUSTIN NICHOLS) leave with another guy (Jake
Gyllenhaal) was like dangling the proverbial carrot that I'll never get to eat. Damn
actors.

Jake and Sophia meeting up at the Malibu (January 25,2006)

Austin and Sophia at the beach (February 12,2006)

Off course there is those magical floating shoes.

Let's compare.

Hmmm

Then this came out on February 15, 2006 on People.com

Sophia Bush's Two Good Men

According to the rumor mill, One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush is dating not one but two eligible bachelors: Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and actor Austin Nichols (Glory Road). "We all met up on a hike and, apparently, I'm with both of them," she says of the tabloid buzz. "If I have to be in the company of men, I'm glad it's those two."

In reality, Bush is single and has been separated since October from her costar and husband of only five months, Chad Michael Murray. So, how has it been working with her ex? "We're professionals. It's my job. It's not really a big deal," she told us at a recent New York City event to promote the new One Tree Hill soundtrack, Friends with Benefit (proceeds will go toward the National Breast Cancer Foundation). "My life is really great. I can't begin to complain."

What was it that happened in between when Jake and Sophia's pictures got released and Austin and Sophia pictures got released.

Oh yeah this:

Due North or is that West, East or South?

Art
Life

Looks like shooting will resume soon on OTH, Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley) flew back back over the weekend and said that she would be directing her second episode, so it looks like the holiday break is over. But wonder if it will still be a few days before shooting starts up. You know its kind of like getting back from school vacation it takes a few days to get back to everything back in sync.

She wasn't the one only who was flying as Jake popped up at LAX Sunday night and even after a long flight he looks as good as ever. Looks like the holidays were good to him, my bet it was the company who made it so good. Makes you wonder where the allusive Man of Mystery was. East West North or South?

If not down South yet, he soon will be. Austin's getting back to work and so is Julian, who's got something to do again,(FINALLY) and going back to making movies. But there is the future of a being possibly Brookeless. With it looking like Julian and Alex heading to LA they run into Brooke and the new boy du jour at the airport. Big Breakup or just a Brulian reconcillation? And those who have followed Julian on OTH, what do you think, better off with or without Brulian?

Jake's East again next week for 826NewYork's charity event of celebrity ping pong to benefit the free tutoring and writing programs for children of NYC. And while it has not been confirmed he may also be a star in the East, sitting down with James Lipton of the Actor's Studio at Pace University for an interview and episode of Inside the Actors studio.

So it looks like there might bit a little bit of traveling in all directions for these two. Doubt they need a compass, since their heart seems to lead them to the perfect place.

New year new law (in California)

A new California law went into effect yesterday that increases penalties against overly aggressive photographers — dubbed "stalkerazzi" — who forcefully thrust their cameras into famous faces or crash their car into a celebrity's vehicle. They'll now be liable for three times the damages they inflict, plus lose any payments their published photos might earn. Publishers can also be held liable. But it might effect other media like the newspapers than thought.

"This law now gives (celebrities) the ability to quash a photograph, and potentially a story (resulting from the photograph), with a frivolous lawsuit in an attempt to keep the public from being informed," "The Constitution demands a little bit higher standard before the government puts the kibosh on a newspaper's ability to publish that story."

The California Newspaper Publishers Assn., questioned the constitutionality of that law, but it has not been challenged in court, yet. Laws are presumed valid until challenged. The challenge will that the new legislation, which expands what constitutes invasion of privacy, is probably even more unconstitutional.

Ring around the Roses

New calendar, new year, new decade. Everything's good, nothing's gone wrong, no one's messed up. How can you not love a day like that.

It's one day that reminds everyone that everything's possible. Discover that hidden talent, do something you've always wanted to do, hell maybe just to organize your mess, or only hit the snooze bar twice in a row. No rose colored glasses need today, the Rose Parade is enough.

Here's to taking the good things of 2009 into 2010 and going from there.

Sing out Louise.
