Dash of Spice ....

Jake loves to cook.

And anyone who loves to cook loves cookbooks. Not always to follow exactly but sometimes for inspiration and other times for reference.

“I have a massive section in my library at home of beautiful old cook books. I really have a strange obsession with them.”

Sounds like he uses them more for reference and finds inspiration at the farmers market.

“If I’m making a romantic dinner. I like to go to a farmers’ market first, buy things fresh and come up with my own dish based on whatever I’ve bought.”

You think it's rubbing off on Austin?

my perfect weekend. wake up early. yoga. followed by a healthy but delicious brunch. swim in the sea. lay in the sand. read a good book. 2:45 PM Aug 22nd, 2010

Speaking of Leadville

Jake showing off some leg and a what all the biking, squats and workouts did for those quads.Hmmm those calves look familiar.

Culinary FYI: One of the best collection of cookbooks and culinary history outside for the Library of Congress is The Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Harvard University.

Maybe friend and Harvard alum Natalie - could check out a book or two for Jake.
