Found @AUS10NICHOLS. I miss John from Cincinnati and I still think HBO was stupid for canning it.
@inkSlice I agree with you, bro!!!- AUS10NICHOLS
You think more people would have gotten it by now? Even with Milch's explanation. (It's Milch so you know there's profanity)
The spirit of the universe dispatches Austin as its representative to try and change the American psyche to end a coming genocide. Making him a child, with enormous power, and going to the "stupidest" persons in the country the surfers to start.
If it stuck around you would have some of the most original television out there seeing Austin continue to stretch himself to the actor he is and had this:
and this:
and this:
and more of this
and maybe more of this:
"Jake was spotted in San Diego last week, visiting the set of HBO's pilot "John from Cincinnati," where his pal Austin Nichols plays the lead. Gyllenhaal arrived and was immediately escorted to Nichols' trailer, where they spent most of the day. Austin left the trailer only to grab some grub for the two from catering tables." - TMZ
Who wouldn't want more backgammon?
And ok, so maybe Modern Family and Cougar Town would not be what they are now, because of not having Ed and Brian respectively. But is it a small price to pay for not having this.
"We had so many years of history prior to him coming to work on the show," she explained, "and I think someone taking a job and moving their life across the country to show you how much they care is pretty much the most romantic gesture that a person could make."
Right?
And The Gulf crisis. It wouldn't have been only a personal connection, but talk about a connection to a show.
