Handful of Jake

Now four or six inches may not be a big handful to some, but for others it could be. But now four or six inches could be the chance to get Jake in the palm of your hand.
McFarlane Toys announced that they would be coming out with a be doing a line of action figures based on Prince of Persia.

There will be a 4" assortment of figures. All figures will fit with the horse boxed sets and play sets which are be sold separately. Two of play sets include the Horse Boxed Set Dastan with Aksh and Movie Playset Alamut Gate

Here is a sneak peek of 6" Desert Dastan.

If four inches isn't enough Jake for you, maybe six inches will do the trick.
The bigger figures will be fully articulate like their smaller counterpart but will include more costuming details and have a spring-loaded play action for unique weapons and accessories from the movie. In addition to the 6" Desert Dastan, there is a Warrior Dastan.

I don't know there is something about this figure that makes me think of this clip from Mel Brook's Men in Tights.

Jake is excited about the action figures and can't wait to get them.

Although Austin might be the best judge if things measure up. ; )

In that first pic, is that a space between his legs or a tusk?!

Man, that song brings back lots of memories.

I like the costuming on the toys, but they don't look enough like Jake for me to be interested in them as a collectors item.

Funny how the trolls complain how obsessed we are, but they are commenting immediately when Baby Tile comes up or something they don't like is said about Jake. Must be paid to monitor the site.

You all know layoffs have been the norm at my co last few months and a good buddy of mine got let go yesterday. He was taken totally by surprise and flew out of the office like he was launched by a rocket. He did not say goodbye to anyone. I feel awful. So far I continue to dodge the layoff bullet, but every time my boss walks up to my desk to ask me a question, I think is this it? So far so good.

Re the telethon last night, I wished they had introduced or named the artists as they performed. I recognized most of them but my husband and I kept playing name the artist, not listening to the music.

#9 Austin, Texas
This countercultural lefty Shangri-la in the middle of Texas has been going through a growth spurt. But no matter how cosmopolitan their home gets, gay and lesbian residents will always take their barbeque, two-stepping, and live music culture seriously. Many visitors say that this city’s sophisticated, lively lesbian social scene rivals those of New York and Los Angeles. And the clothing-optional swimming area Hippie Hollow attracts thousands of au naturel gays for the semiannual Splash Weekends.

Gayest Cities in America

Sorry about your work buddy M.

I was going to say something about Austin being on that list, but you beat me Hmmm. Not surprised about San Diego, I love that city and the way the gay neighborhood feels more like a part of the city, as opposed to an abrupt, we're in Oz kind of feel you often get with gay neighborhoods.

The one thing I couldn't figure out from the article is whether these cities are supposed to be gayer than places like S.F. and NY, or if they were concentrating on smaller, less traditional gay places.

So sorry about you friend M. It's really tough not only for them. (and it really sucks)but for the rest of you too that are still there. It's just hard on everyone all the way around. Will keep you in my thoughts.

Brothers opened this weekend in Britain. Anybody from the UK have any thoughts about the movie? Would love to hear perspectives about the film from audiences outside of the US.

m, I am so sorry to hear of your friend's job loss. That's a really sad story and the way that he left is really sad. These kinds of things on the job are traumatic. Like Special said, it's not only hardest of course on the person themselves, but it's also hard on those who remain behind. They've lsot a colleague and now they are stressed wondering who's next. Then they're on pins & needles and it stresses job performance.

I feel really bad for him.

I agree,m , on the wish for identification of the artists. I didn't always necessarily know who the people were.

And wasn't it the strangest thing to not hear applause after singers were done? I mean, I totally understand why they did it. I just bet it was weird for the artist not to hear noise because they're just so used to it.

That clip on Austin & Sophia was good. Sophia sounded like she certainly is doing great things as far as recycling/conserving is concerned. She was cute in her clip.

Austin kind of cracked me up as he scrambled for ways to think of how he was conserving whereas Sophia rattled them off one by one with ease. LOL.

I notice that they both said "I" a little differently. "I" and "my house" came off of her tongue very naturally and without thought.

Austin's "I" came out like "IIIIII....try to blah blah blah." "IIIIIIII...try not to use styrofoam." That's a hard one, trying not to use styrofoam especially when it comes to restaurant take out containers. So what do you do, take your food home in a styrofoam container or leave it and waste it needlessly? That's a good question.

Or how about carrying in your own Glad plastic container into the restaurant to take your leftovers in? LOLLLL! Can't you just see that?

I'm like Austin in that when I go shopping, I tell them no bag if I only have a couple of things. I've gotten a ton better at remembering my recycle bags. I have a bunch of them in my trunk from various grocery stores and several Wal Mart ones. Even a Macy's one that's really roomy and plain canvas color. Target's are goshawful ugly looking; I won't use theirs.

I think Austin says he composts? I wonder if I remember that right.

Hey, off topic, someone on WFT2 mentioned that word is that Brangelina have split. So I googled it and it sounds like something indeed is rumbling underground about it, mostly within the past 4 or so hours.

You know, Ted's been saying that their relationship wasn't bound to go the distance. And there has been alot of smoke going up about their fighting. Should be interesting - it would be pretty big news if it is true. Brad Pitt has been looking not very good at all lately.

And this post today, Special, reads very naughty, btw. LOLLL.

Maybe it's just me. And Pie up there at 17:34. Huh, Pie?

However do you find all this stuff.

The Piebald is a creature of glory who shouldn't be cheapened in tabloid trash and newsreels.

Take that, Jake.

HW needs to take lessons from fictional horses.

The video kind of reminds of High School in a way. Sophia is like that one girl who is a cheerleader and on student government but is still trying to either get #1 in the class or get in the extra cool group, by just trying that extra bit more. Austin is that guy who's cute nice and a good guy and is just trying to think of things to say because his whole mind went blank and hopes you won't hold it against him..

I did notice the lip lick, who did that remind me of?

Do you think he liked that mike or was a little startled by a super sparkly microphone with the initials T and GG on it. I mean one more T and it could have been the Toothy Tile Grey Goose network/agency. Did he have a moment of panic, like what are they going to ask?

PG, me write anything that could be read that way? ; ) LOL

CBS Sunday Morning news program mentioned the break up of Brangelina too.
