Did Austin ring the new year with something special?
At the Art of Elysium gala Austin hit the red carpet where a little something something on his right ring finger.
A couple of rings have graced that finger, but one thing for certain he makes sure to show all of them off. Like there is a reason for a ring to be on that finger?
At first it looks like it was an amber stone, but up close and flipped around it looks like it could be a special signet ring. 
What do you think? Could there be some special initials on the outside or inside of it? Maybe family crest for a little family?
We've always known that Austin love accessories and jewelry and we know something else does and likes to gift it too. Jake seems to have some little boxes in that bag when he was out shopping for Christmas.
Sounds like something rings very true.

Hi guys, I see I missed a lot around here over the past couple of days. Just got back from a long weekend in London with my girlfriend! Had a great time, but boy, when I booked my trip I forgot about the GG awards and had no idea the Jets would be in the playoffs and missed a very exciting game. I didn't even find out they'd won until I arrived back in the States, that's how unconnected I have been.
We met up with LondonTB for dinner one night and had a blast, and kept her up way too late I fear since she was not on vacation like we were. :-D
Have to catch up on everything and digest it all before I comment in full, but initially got to say I agree with PG and Tom as to what is going on.
Very sad about Kate McGarrigle. I've seen her on stage a couple of times with Rufus.

Disney et al needed a compromise;
Sophia, a lovely woman and very good friend of both Austin and Jake agrees to be part of the compromise;
Austin and Sophia 'light' beard, they're extremely good friends anyway and therefore spending time with each other at great parties is hardly a chore;
Sophia gets a suitable escort for industry events and gets her picture taken alot;
Jake's allowed to stop bearding;
Austin gets alot of free drinks;
Everyone's happy (except maybe Reese, but who cares about that).

having just spent a few minutes at WFT2, it seems like almost everyone has the same theory as me, and I thought I was being so original.
Also, I'm sorry, but Austin's new ring is fairly vile. Something that ugly has to have some deep personal significance, guess we'll just have to think that Jake was drunk shopping when he picked that beauty out.

No, it doesn't. Jake's showmance had more than enough marketing, Jake didn't have to look like a fool with the beard on the red carpet.
Austin and Sophia have to create interest, they can't spend tons of money for PR.
I think pictures on a red carpet are not such a big deal because they are events specific made to bring publicity and you can attend with a co-star, friends or family. I find arranging candid paparazzi photo ops buying coffee with PDA/holding-hands a more obvious bearding statement with the only purpose of selling a ‘couple’ and showing your 'private life'.
Hey guys... just a couple of comments about the above conversation.
1. i imagine reese is happy that the bearding is over too. she got what she needed out of it - time with jake so that the public didn't really get much chance to think about or talk about the end of her marriage. she's far enough away from that now that i'm sure she's happy to have some time on her own, and maybe she even would like to pick are REAL boyfriend.
2. other than us (the omg/wtf2/awful truth peeps), no one knows about the relationship between austin and jake. we are a very small % of the movie going public. i can see disney wanting Jake to go straight for a while, and i won't be suprised at all if another girl takes Reese's place. however, i don't think that the general public would ever consider Austin with Sophia as being in any way related to Jake, or any proof that he wasn't gay.

I think it's PR planted. The wording sounds exactly like the trolls who post here, WFT and DL (sorry boys, it's time to admit..etc). Unless the tone is sarcastic and it means the opposite.
There are months and months of twitters, industry reports and simple logistics to support that Austin & Sophia are a real couple.
There are those in Wilmington, NC who put names behind their posts and blog about it. There are several people who have twitter'd and blogged about Sophia & Austin in Austin, TX. There were blogs about them from late August in the Hamptons. You can pretty much track their weekends and find photos of them at the same place and time.
This isn't some sudden thing. Austin look really happy, he has a great job and he is helping others.
Sophia Bush is a person who has stepped up and stood out in the open to support gay rigthts, more than once in more than one state.
It's sad the nobody on this board wants or is willing to accept the truth.

I see passingby was here again. To me, Austin and Sophia are just promoting their television show. They have been friends for a long time - I see friends being affectionate with each other.
Yes it is true there was a special election in Massachusetts today for the late Ted Kennedy's Senate seat and they voted in Republican Scott Brown. We've had Republican Governors in the past but this is the first time in 38 we have a Republican US Senator.
For all you American Idol fans, you might know his daughter more. She is Ayla Brown who was in Season 5 of AI.
Now all those campaign phone calls have stopped.
You know, I don't want to make a big deal out of this and maybe the next set of pictures will show different.
But Jake is really, really looking too thin. There's slim and lean and then there's collar/throat bones showing and sunken cheekbones. And I know that is not the best angle those pictures on IHJ have been taken at so I'm trying to take that into consideration.
But he doesn't look good in any of those pictures. At all.
I'm glad to hear he was yukking it up and having a great time. That part is awesome to hear.
But why does he need to be looking so gaunt? Next movie role? Except he was already looking slim for LSAOD (<-- LOL, do I have that right?) and towards the end of that filming, he was starting to look too thin there as well.

Wow the Dems sure have blown it. At this point They will lose control of both the House and Senate this year. They should have focused on the economy and jobs. They took an entire year on health care and got some watered down version and now they probably wont even get that.
Obama has basically done nothing he said he would. He needs to make some major staffing changes including firing pitbull Rahm Emanuel and grow a pair or he will be a one term president. I voted for him but man am I dissappointed.

...It was late in the afternoon; everybody had cleared out. Save Tile and his man-amigo, who extended his hands flat on the marble table (yes, that's a hint) until they were intertwined with Tile's. Massive smiles then appeared on both daring dudes.
