When is a Goose a Duck?

Some would argue that Austin is one lucky duck, but coming up on OTH, this goose will totally be Ducky.

SPOILER ALERT
Episode 7.15 Don’t You Forget About Me”

AN HOMAGE TO THE LATE DIRECTOR JOHN HUGHES — In the chaos surrounding an ‘80’s alumni dance at the high school, Haley’s birthday is forgotten, Jamie is left home alone, and Nathan and Clay are stranded 200 miles from Tree Hill. Meanwhile, Brooke’s appearance at the dance with Alexander forces Julian to relive his dorky adolescence in an episode dedicated to the memory of John Hughes.

Well Austin has done the hat, the bollo, the pants and the shoes already.

Do you think he practiced kissing on watermelons too?

Retro Rewind Movie Watchers:
Can you name all the John Hughes movies in the description?

Member's Only

Have you ever noticed Austin and all the epaulets on OTH?

Is to placate his request for a Member's Only jacket until they find one that fits in the arms? Come on that's a custom job, maybe now that he's regular cast. A hold over from doing The Informers? A Show of support for the military?

I mean epaulets on a jacket ok.

A dress shirt, that can work.

But a polo shirt?

Alright ok, maybe it is to square off his shoulders, but if he show up next season with one glove... all bets are off. And God help us all if they channel the shoulder pads from Alexis Carrington.

Reminder: OMG's Movie Club starts tomorrow at 5pm EST thru Saturday. Our movie for this week is Big Eden.

Haven't gotten a chance to watch Big Eden. The entire movie is also available at Logo Online.
Big Eden

For those outside the U.S. - Stubborn is working on a way for all of you to be able to catch it online too. Check back tomorrow.

Red Carpet Recluse - No More

Loogix.com. Animated avatars.
It's Austin Friday and it looks like it was an Austin Thursday too.

The Informers Premiere was last evening in Los Angeles (Dest - you were right, I was misInformed) and Austin was in the the red carpet in his snazzy suit. And how great is to see him on a red carpet. Austin doesn't normal do the walk except for his own projects, and occasional ESPN party, but most just for his own stuff. Here' hoping that Southern Gothic does their own version of the red carpet (may we suggest Red Velvet (How Very Southern) carpet, or heck just Red Velvet Cupcakes for the cast and crew)

Is Austin trying to get his Spandeau Ballet / New Romantics of the 80's look going there?

Or is he the guy who would tap his retro Mod Italian 60's for an 80's film?

Is it just me picturing him in that suit riding up on a Vespa.

You will notice no music today. Why?

Today is the Day of Silence

The National Day of Silence brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Each year the event has grown, now with hundreds of thousands of students coming together to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior.

How to observe the Day of Silence?
Be silent
Talk
Wear red
Wear rainbow
Wear any color
Tweet the Silence
Silence your tweets
Blog the silence
Silence your blog

Whatever you do, be respectful, especially of others who are observing the Day of Silence, but bring attention to the issues of anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harrasment in schools.

National Day of Silence

Thanks again to Spooky and Vesperlynd from AJN for the Austin pictures.

New Order Blue Monday was used in the trailer but isn't included on the soundtrack, makes you wonder if they didn't have the cash or couldn't get the rights.

Now the Donnie Darko "soundtrack" is:

If you had to do the Jake & Austin 80's movies mix what would you pick?

Mister Informed

The things you can find on MySpace, friends, friends of friends, blogs, rants, things you shouldn't know but glad you do, who's dating who, and Lindsay Lohan looking for dixie cups ice cream treats with Sam.

And you can find the 80's too. The 80's form found today was that of Informers who is a 26 year old male living in LA, who status is swinger (is there a better word? can't you just say all comers welcomed and cover all your bases) - is a Libra.

But what if you combine MySpace, The Dating Game, ( if the Governor of California can. Why not?) and 80's?

You get :

"He's a Libra, he's a swinger and he's from LA. Welcome Informers" (cue Dating Game music now - and for some of you it's already playing in your head)

.... Wait that covers a lot of guys in LA.

"So Informers what else can you tell us about yourself."

"I like living fast and being a world traveler."

Informers started filming the movie October 12th 2007, in LA, wrapping in December 6th, filming in Buenos Aires and Uruguay, and is premiering October 8th, at the Sitges Film Festival in Sitges Spain.

Where else would a morally corrupt twenty something play but LA, Buenos Aires, and Punta del Este, Uruguay, an upscale vacation spot, and Sitges, "the San Tropez of Spain".

From Informers profile of looks like he'll fit in at the very gay friendly small Spanish city.

"If you were a tree what kind of tree would you be?"

" I don't know, guess a willow, cause I go either way and have shallow roots. But this time I had cut out some of the deadwood out of my life."

Vampires and zombies are no longer a part of Informers back story, gone vanished, wiped clean, never happened. How Hollywood of him.

"But it sounds like you do have some friends."

" Yeah, good friends, Billy Bob, Kim, Amber, Mickey, Austin, Gregor and Winona. Winona woo! Sadly though, I've lost some friends along the way too."

Was the last one with Brad Renfro, before he passed away too soon and unfortunately because of an overdose.

"What about the ladies in your life?"

"Well I lost out hooking up with an Olsen but still came out aHead"

Ashley was to play Kim Bassinger's step daughter before dropping out with the part going to Amber Head. Of course it had nothing to do having a steamy scene with her former co-star from Holiday in the Sun.... who is that again?
Naughty Mr. Nichols. Seems his character is doing an 80's very special episode of All in the Family.

"What's your motto? What says Informers?"

"My Motto?"
"Greed is good. Sex is easy. Youth is forever."

Welcome to Informers.
