ReSource Room
So much Source Code that this post is even getting written in Chicago. Talk about resourceful. Although it took longer than 8 minutes.
With the premiere on Friday at SXSW, more clips and interviews are coming to source out.
Here are two new clips.
The Kiss
What Would You Do ( Well maybe have someone look at the head wound Jake)
Here's an interview with Jake
Part 1
Part 2
And want a behind the scenes look at Source Code
Talk about filming in close quarters.
And didn't even recognize Russell Peters.
Source Code room. Pod or geodesic hamster ball?
And a special treat for Duncan - "Alamo Drafthouse & Mondo present the Duncan Jones “Director’s Series” with two prints from world renowned artist, Olly Moss."
Moss recreated posters for both Source Code and Moon. Looks like Austin(TX) likes Dunkin Duncan (sorry coffee joke - hey it's mornings, coffee required)
Can help but mention again that Jake will be the lead in "End of Watch", a gritty drama about partners on the LAPD force. Set to film in 2012, it definitely works into the schedule, just in case OTH has nine lives.
Think he wants the paps to spot him? Or just being a good do-bee and wearing neon safety wear to run on the road.Hey Atti good to see ya!

Putting on the Dog
Overheard one weekend.
10. Do NOT say anything about the ears.
9. Why the suit?'nuff said.
8. That's the last time I talk about doing Charlie Brown in my pajamas in an interview.
7. Don't know if scratching my belly makes my leg goes thump thump thump? ; )
6. If Mark makes me sing "Puppy Love" that's it I'm walking.
5. This is what I'm thinking for the half marathon, and Sophia in a black and white wig and a big coat chasing me.
4. Who wants a Beggin' Strip?
3. Bow-wow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yeah
Bow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yeah
Nothin' but the dog in me
2. Hey .... throw me a bone. ; )
and number one
So, I'm thinking maybe you could teach me some new tricks.
Happy Austin Friday.

Island Fever
They say no man is an island but he may be on one.
Have been tracking this for last couple of days. There have been 3 tweets over the last 2 days that lead to believe Jake is on Island.
The first was a tweet that got retweeted over and over:
Just passed Jake Gyllenhaal in the airport. To anyone who doesn't know, he is my #2 dream man. #babeland - jacvanek
and started to look around to see if there were any other mentions then
yesterday there was this late in the afternoon:
Apparently Jake Gyllenhaal was in Woods Hole last night at the liquor store. I wonder if he was wearing a shirt? - dohnemus
There's only few things you would be doing in Woods Hole front runners are doing scientific research, or catching the ferry to the Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. I don't think Jake is the Science Guy.
and then finally there was this last night:
Just spotted Jake Gyllenhall w/his dog on ferry to MVY. Both very laid back :D - LifeCoachKaren
So three independent tweets him leaving LA, where the ferry is and then on the ferry so it sound pretty solid that Jake will be celebrating the Vineyard 4th. And with the homestead still up for sale so why not use it if it's still in the family.
Now, wonder if the weekend will include the Edgartown 4th of the July Parade.
It's definitely got the little hometown feel, marching bands, and fire trucks, where kids and families dress up and march along, sometimes in costumes, and others in their best red, white and blue, decorating their wagon, bikes, or trikes. And some even get more elaborate make a homemade float. And everyone throws candy to the crowds.
Two years ago Ray Allen showed up with the NBA trophy. Don't think the Lakers will this year, but Jake says his a Celtics fan too.Who doesn't love a parade? You know for Atti. ; )
Maybe Jake will go to the Flying Horses in Oaks Bluff. It's the oldest operating platform carousel in the US.Different than typical carousels today. For one, horses have had real horsehair manes. And then it just go round and round, but not up and down. But you can try to grab for metal rings along the sidelines, hoping to snag the elusive brass one for a free ride.
You know for for Atti. ; )
And on the Vineyard you can get away the cameras.(B.R.* Before Reeke)
You know for Atti. ; )
And you can even tweet from there and no one would know you're there they can think you're anywhere.
You know for Atti. ; )
And of course farmer's market in West Tisbury. You know for Jake.
And speaking of Jake and islands MTV got to the bottom of the Kris Allen and his island man crush.

Poet(ic inspiration) and Didn't Know it
Gray days with wind and rain leads to big cups of coffee reading, some art, lots of music and discovery of new things.
Poet Sharon Mesmer wrote this and posted it on her blog back in October of 2006.
Jake Gyllenhaal's Dog
The ghost of a dog coffeepot foretold:
Jake Gyllenhaal has two cats and my parents have three cats
and I got a second dog.
All it takes to start a new religion
is resentment and a pot of cold coffee
and Jake Gyllenhaal walking his dog.
It's funny that people find other people getting coffee really interesting,
or walking their dogs in the dog park —
welcome to Christian Carnivore ‘04:
with only the occasional torn-up slipper and scattered
hieroglyphic chapters
as proof that any human beings ever lived there,
the dog coffeepot became a sign that,
for the poor, coffee is always already over.
Didn’t Thomas Jefferson predict that would happen
once dark bilious vapors began to define the character
of our dogs?
Hey! Aren't we supposed to just have good things happen to us?
Jake Gyllenhall’s dog is as much of a dog as that Brazilian double-bagger
Giselle Bundchen’s dog,
and I’d really like to know
how shepherds do it with their dogs.
Kim’s sharing spirit has done a great job in telling us about some of the things
that shepherds do with their dogs.
What is the difference between Christianity and all other religions?
The answer is that Dr. Bob is mind blowing.
So consider the story of Ben Stiller and Jake Gyllenhaal:
they got their eyes checked and their dogs autoclaved.
How did Jake Gyllenhaal’s dog get way up there on that fence post anyway?
That black poodle-looking dog had a rocking a cool 'fro
and dog food heaped with Pepto-Bismol.

What is the "abomination that causes desolation" in Mark 13:14?
The daily news, the conflicting messages in the world
and the longing for another man’s funky dung.
Humans in zoos, cross breeding —
it’s evolutionists vs creationists and I’ll be pooping on both
and from beneath the dirty hood comes an awkward
I love you on the sofa in the dark:
It was Jesus weeping as Jake Gyllenhaal returned
from Dramatic Dog Walk/Smoothie Excursion.
It's all over.
The dog has been walked
and the smoothie is just a distant memory.

Pappa G has written about, Ms. Mesmer has written too, and do you think Jake has inspired a Southern poet who has blogged some of his poetic license before?

" Love Drugs"
.....it sure looked like a doctor's office, from the names on the outer glass door to the men in white coats, stethoscopes slung around necks, filing cabinets, boxes of latex gloves and (unopened) urine sample cups, scale and weight chart.
Jamie fires stats at the doc -- "33 percent fewer phone calls at 4 a.m." -- while Knight weighs a request from his receptionist, Cindy (Judy Greer). A woman is on the phone asking for an antibiotic for her daughter, starring in a high school production of "Bye Bye Birdie."
The physician, with reading glasses low on his nose, says, "Sure, why not." Jamie cranks his charming smile to full tilt for Cindy, who pivots and hustles back down the hallway.
After some back and forth about Knight angling for a consultant's gig, the doctor plucks a chart from outside an exam room and the men step inside as the director calls cut.
Hey everybody!
Hi Dr. Nick!
It doesn't take Viagra to get Pittsburgh excited, Jake's movie has done just that. More love for the movie from the city of Pittsburgh. And from the looks of it, Ed Zwick's first project in the 3 Rivers has been going well. LaOD is track to film until late November, with Anne coming in last week to start to film her part. But someone who has been on set with Jake more has been Atticus. Sounds like Atti is spending his days on location, and getting his own attention with tweets saying people have gotten to play with him on set.
Great role for Jake who is gets to turn on his charm and that smile as he peddles his pills. But it is meeting Maggie (Anne) and artist that is key to the storyline. Zwick talks about their attraction and passion that is key to story. Sounds like their will be lots of sparks. Wonder if that passion will lead to some big fireworks. Kind of want to see Jake have a great big crazy couples squabble on screen with Annie. Saw some of it in BBM as Jack with Lureen and Ennis but it was really more one sided, something with a equally passionate person going toe to toe would be different angle of Jake on screen. But it does sound like Jamie and Maggie fall good and hard for each other.
"When you see what they have together, that is the heart and soul of the movie," - Ed Zwick.

You think Anne is going to have to tell Jake it's ok to touch the girls this time?
Before we forget. You've met the brother (Josh Gad) and the others (Oliver Platt, Hank Azaria, Judy Grear) now its time to meet the parents. Yup this is Jake and Josh's onscreen parents.
George Segal and Jill Clayburgh

Neighborly Day in This Beautywood
First things first.
Spooky posted yesterday a message later in the day about ANJ's anniversary, OMG wants to congratulated ANJ, Spooky and Vesperlynd for all their hard work, wonderful posts and pictures, and thank them for the all their friendship and support in our fanship of Austin. You guys are great. Here's to another great year.
Hope you get a chance to stop over at ANJ to give best wishes.
I admit when I am wrong, and I am admitting to it today. Love and Other Drugs did film yesterday when I thou

So Jake was filming two scenes for in the Pittsburgh suburb of Aliquippa on Monday. Former Aliquippa Hospital was the was the setting for a the scene that was supposed to happen in a rain storm but as production started the real rain stopped and the movie magic had to step in to create the downpour Jake had to dashing in for the second scene of the day, with a few fans catching him on the then closed set. Earlier Jake filmed with Oliver Platt, sitting in a black Mercedes Benz with Oliver at the wheel while locals watched.

Atti is going some bi-coastal this fall and enjoying the PA mountains and trees, but he was not impressed with watching his Pops dodge raindrops so enjoyed the comfort of the trailer.
It looked like Jake had an opportunity for a little Brothers PR, but didn't when a bystander said Hey Spider-Man,” when he shook Jake’s hand.
“Did you like ‘Spider-Man 3’?” Gyllenhaal asked politely, not letting on that it was Tobey Maguire who played that superhero role.
Jake has been winning over Pittsburghers since he's started filming. "He's been out and about, so much so that it seems as if everyone -- or their friend -- has spotted the Hollywood star." according to the Post-Gazette.

Jake with fan, Talituna, one of the girls from the Hillel Academy waiting to see Jake film in Squirrel Hill.
He's been seen in The Strip District for coffee, Squirrel Hill, Downtown bars, out at the Pirates game (hey thanks WDW) and of many restaurants in the Shadyside neighborhood. One little glitch was when he and others were 15 minutes too early for lunch service at the Mark Your Mark Artspace & Coffeehouse and didn't hang around to wait. The owner didn't recognize a low key Jake out grabbing a bite. “My husband doesn’t know a superstar from the next guy. If someone else had been behind the counter, we would have opened up the kitchen,” said co-owner Amy Siebert . But the others sure know who he is, from the line of cougars waiting for him at Squirrel Hill, to the ladies at the Jewish Community Center, and all the students in the local colleges and universities.
Chatham University junior Kayla Hilko was waiting to put her name in for a table at Pamela's Shadyside restaurant recently, when a good-looking man standing ahead of her caught her eye. "I looked at him and thought, 'Whoa, that guy's kind of cute,' " she said, laughing. "Then he turned to the side, and I said to my friend, 'That's Jake Gyllenhaal!' and she just laughed at me." After she and her friend, finished their late breakfast, "she couldn't resist asking the hunky actor to pose for a photo: "I grabbed his arm but not like a stalker ... he was, like, 'Sure.' " "Which is how the photo of a smiling Miss Hilko, a smiling Mr. Gyllenhaal and a smiling Josh Gad -- another actor in the film -- ended up as the photo of the day on Chatham University's intranet Web site."
Sound like Jake is finding the spirit of Pittsburgh native the late Mr. Rogers.
He does like those kinds of sweaters. Don't know if he could pull off Fred's Keds though.

Make me wonder who would Austin be in the neighborhood.
King Friday XII? No - relatively egocentric, irrational, resistant to change, and temperamental, although open-minded , but gives long winded speeches.

X the Owl? Well its a bird, and Jake likes owls and birds. Eager and cheerful and has a strong desire to learn new things.

Bone to Pick
The Bone
All this talk about fighting it's ridiculous. Come on. Look at me I'm laid back, easy going, rolling with it. I know how to work Hollywood, it's not New York.
Who's gonna pick a fight with Frank Sinatra? I mean who messes with a bulldog name after a guy who says "I've got chunks of guys like you in my stool." No disrespect he's old he's 12 - that's 84 to you guys. Who fights with guys as old as Ed McMahon And he's Ryan's dog. He wanted a bulldog name Frank Sinatra. Ryan's cool, Frank's cool. Everyone's cool
Now Coco Chanel - the French bulldog - wearing pearls? Who does she think she is, and pearls for walks? Who does that?
And damn where's Chi Chi? Cause I haven't seen that Chihuahua around at all.
....Wag the dog
The Pick
Has to be Austin City Limits. It brings rock, indie, blues, world/ethnic contemporary and traditional, reggae, eclectic, fusion, electronic, soul, folk/Americana and almost all other music fans for three days, three stages and over a hundred bands. With Dallas, San Antonio and Houston are each within a 3 hour drive of Austin and having no similar events Austin is the place to be. And where else than the "world capital of live music".
Last's year ACL was all kinds of hot. With temps way above the average 88F for late September for Austin, an ignited propane tank that caused an explosion, and of course a shirtless Austin Nichols sighting with ring around his neck and shorts so low they can only be described as limbo (As is in how low do they go?) Do you really need to see that picture again today?
Don't know if this years can compete with that but if you want to check it out, go here for the live webcasts, sounds, pics and blogs from this year's ACL.Pictures: WDW, Just Jared, Flicker

Dog Days of Summer
Hollywood has a love affair with pets and you can see why. They give them something that they can't buy or find. Unconditional love. Doesn't matter if the scripted sucked, or they screw up filming and it cost the studio more money, they don't ask for autographs, they don't want pictures, they don't care if they've gained weight or wearing the latest trend. They don't ask to crash in your guest room for a few months, or drink all of your OJ. Ok so maybe they might chew up your shoes, or forget that they go outside for bathroom breaks, and that dead bird mouse or mole they dropped on the carpet, come they're just trying to give you a gift.
Their pets have seen them at their most personal, the highs, the lows, the anger and frustration, their weakness and insecurities. They've seen all their bad habits, seen them first thing in the morning and they still love them. They don't need a big box office return, or an award before they will spend time with them. They make them happy on the down days, they are there to right beside them on the great ones.
Such loyalty is a rare thing in Hollywood. Who else is as loyal? In Hollywood, come on let's just talk for the rest of us too and it doesn't matter one bit if you're never going to famous, they love you like you are.
So some Atticus and a little Boo Hey! today. He is missed. Asked in a interview about Boo, Jake responded.
Many of your fans are wondering if you still have Boo, your puggle? We haven't seen him in a while.
(After a pause and a sigh of what sounded like lament, looks to the floor and responds) I don't have my puggle ... I don't have my puggle.
Some think Boo went to the big doggie park, and some think that Jake found another home that could give Boo the amount of attention and time puggles need. What do you think?

Atti Boy
.... or is it Lovey Boy?
Named after the hero of To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus Finch was adopted from L.A. animal shelter New Leash on Life by Jake Gyllenhaal and then-girlfriend Kirsten Dunst. But Atticus wasn't the first name he had. Nope. Kirsten had named him Lovey because she and Jake were in love. And Atti was called Lovey for a brief bit, before Jake's choice Atticus Finch came out on top and this loyal companion was Atticus for good. Lovey? Seriously? That's a name for a grandma who plays canasta and drinks gin & tonics with the girls, not a studly shepard living with America's sexiest bachelor.
But what a dog's life. Adopted from an animal shelter, this German Shepard mix, has spa days, hangs at the hippest cafes, walks on the beach with magical shoes, is totally bicoastal and shares a bed with the AfterElton's Hottest celebrity again this year. And his ears, they give him that quirkly loveliness that goes so well with his hot Daddy.
He is true blue and has unconditional love for his Daddy, even when public opinion is not so enamored of him. Many stars have pets for that reason, pets are loyal companions who just love you back, there are no conditions or no expectations, they want nothing more than companionship love and attention, and give all that back in spades.
Atti has proven to be a good pup, who is well trained and well behaved. No car chasing, taking off when not on a leash, for this boy, and not phased in the least by the cameras or paparazzi. Sure there have been a few hookups and that unfortunate Defamer story of him humping another dog without even a proper introduction, but he probably thought the butt sniff hello was enough, but sure boy that fella was surprised when Mr. Finch got down to business.
Lately Atticus has been a good sport about the company Jake has been keeping, he just too cool for it all, and doesn't get involved in the whole thing. Sure he not thrilled being led around and paraded for publicity, but he knows that is just a part of the deal of being a celebupet. What he also knows what the real deal is. Wow, talk about Wag the Dog!
