Will Jake take on a series and settle in for a season at True Detective?

Word is he and John Hamm are in talks for starring in the second season of the hit show.

All great detectives had a signature that made the stand out.  Sherlock Holmes and his hat, Columbio and his trench coat, Monk and his OCD.....what would Jake's be?

Kale?  A bicycling detective?  Detective by day, karaoke singer by night?

Although he could just pull from his own past and do it in a bubble.

One thing about series work is the stability of it, great for those carpools.  But back to LA  after the "big move" to New York.  It's gonna be tough.  ;)

Director's Cut

Prisoners broke it's award nominee shut-out with a Critics Choice nominee for Best Cinematography for Roger Deakins while it looks like one of Jake's previous director is finding another full award season. David O. Russell has been on an award roll since Nailed with The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook, and now American Hustle.  It make you want to watch Nailed as least the version Russell created just to see what kind of performance he capture with Jake. 

Early in his career Jake seemed to pick movies even more by the director than the screenplay.  It looked like he was creating his own film school working with some of the best directors in the business.  Each brought a difference to the screen,  then seem to be change - an evolution perhaps? Jake started working with "young" directors - those with only a few movie under their belt or those directors who had success outside of mainstream Hollywood, with a sprinkle here and there of a bigger name.

"The stunt body was used for effects shots in which Jimmy gets hit by a car, bus, flown through a billboard, thrown off a highway into a train, etc. After production the bubble was mounted on the stunt body for this display.

"This full-sized body is made of dense foam, sculpted in the face to resemble Jake."

"The face features hand-punched hair, resin eyes and teeth. There is a tape repair on one arm, and cracking on the face due to it actually being hit by the truck, multiple times. The bubble is made of heavy vinyl and features plastic arms which extend out from the suit, allowing the character to grab objects."

There are some burn marks courtesy of the burning restaurant.
