Equestrian Dressage
Equestrian is the only Olympic sport where man and animal are established team-mates, and one of the few where men and women compete on equal terms.
It is the ultimate in team sports, a horse and rider working together for years to hone feats of grace, daring, agility and speed.The horse performs set movements, or tests, in response to its rider's subtle aids and signals. The event is conducted over three rounds. In the first two, horse and rider perform a set routine of dressage movements, including passages, pirouettes and piaffes in a walk, trot and canter. Phew. After re-reading Ted's BV a couple more times, I see now. Yeah, I, too, think he definitely is saying that Tooth is being oh-so-private, but with his GG. Ted can be really hard to read. I still don't get everything that he says.

I agree PG, I'm very disappointed in hearing about John Edwards, and his campaign manager. I thought he was different too. Normally, I would think personal matters are not my business and would try not to let it affect how I think someone would do their job, but where his wife was so very sick, it's upsetting to think of. And the campaign manager, being close to both of them, it's inexcusable for her too, IMO. :(
I don't think Edwards will ever recover politically from this. I am amazed at Elizabeth's Edward capacity of forgiveness. She is a bigger person that I could ever be.
I was shocked to find Rielle Hunter's connection to Bret Easton Ellis. It sounds too much like his fiction, but then again I guess it's write what you know.

I remember that Jake interview in which he said he was buying two bybrid cars; I always wondered if one was for Austin so he could come and go without anyone noticing it wasn't Jake.
The Edwards thing doesn't surprise me, it seems to go with the territory somehow. All I can say is thank goodness he's not the candidate, we'd be so screwed.
One thing that really has me excited about The Informers is that it will be the first time for me seeing Austin on the big screen.

It is sad about Bernie Mac. The only movie I saw with him in it, I think, was the one with Ashton Kutchner (sp?) where Ashton was marrying his daughter. It was kind of funny - I thought Ashton was good at slapstick kind of comedy. 50 is way too young to go. But then, none of has any say in when that happens!
ted's hard to read but i think gawker & defamer are whole lot worse. they don't nake sense and they aren't funny. at least ted is witty while he's being cryptic!!

yeh and as much as you love the bf and consider the relationship equal and wonderful you still every once in awhile show that you have the upper hand when it comes to his car since you bought and paid for it. you have every right to leave your pristine car at home and drive his whenever you take the big loveable 100 pound shedding, farting, drooling dog with you.

I read on cnn.com that Bernie Mac had had some kind of lung illness, although it had been in remission. I forget the name of it, kind of long. Pneumonia would definitely be dangerous if you had weakened lungs.

On the one hand Toothy's handlers must be estatic about Ted's new format. Hard to read and the Blind items don't have the same impact. On the other hand, allowing reader comments opens up a whole new world. I went back and read comments out of curiosity and there were mentions of Jake is Toothy in several topics, not just the Blind.
Re Edwards, if there is one thing I have learned in my many years it's that you can never guess the truth about someone's sex life. I've been knocked out cold learning the truth about someone many a time.

The reason I don't think it's a birth control shot is because I don't think Reese has any need for birth control, now or in the future. I think she had her tubes tied.

Thanks for asking, Kacie. Tink was starting to put weight on her foot yesterday. She was supposed to keep the bandage on until Monday, but of course she had taken it off this morning. She did okay on her morning walk and was only limping a little bit at the end.
OT, what did you guys think of last night's Opening Ceremonies? I thought it was the most magnificent Olympic Opening Ceremony I have ever seen.

in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I also was
surprised that Latvia beat our
USA volleyball team. But anything
can happen.

Wicked, I thought the opening ceremony was magnificent too. But as much as I enjoyed the splendour of it I think the Olympics in general is an insane waste of money which could be better spent on providing basically social services like healthcare and housing.
M,Ted has had a comment section for a while now. That is not new even if the column has changed formats.
The Olympic opening was incredible and something that has never been seen before and I doubt ever again. China had something to show the world and they did. They only thing that I say shouldn't have been done was the inclusion of the military in the ceremony. That is not the message of the Olympics.

I agree, what I saw of the opening ceremonies (I didn't see it all) was probably the most beautiful I have ever seen (the caligraphy dancing), and I also agree that the military has no place in something like the Olympics, especially in light of all of the controversy.

Mr. Edwards spoke his views on the fundamental wrongness of same-sex marriage, citing the preservation of family values as his reason, at the same time was schtupping someone not his god and religion approved wife.

I love the fact that NPH is doing such ads for such a mainstream, old-fashioned product. They're probably using him to give it an edgier image, which is great.

I don't think Edwards' indiscretion has anything to do with his views on same-sex marriage. It doesn't matter if it's hetero marriage or same/sex marriage. Heck, I saw a quote from him on his criticism when Clinton was unfaithful with Monica Lewinsky. He was just unfaithful, period. I don't want to get into religious back & forth, but I don't like seeing Christians being lumped together & bashed. Just like all groups, there are some that put a bad light on all the others.
Just reading a little bit more about Bernie Mac. It's so sad. It was sarcoidosis that he had had, which is an immune disease and it had affected his lungs, so his immunity put him at risk. Hence, the pneumonia. Him and his wife had been married 30 years; that's pretty unheard of anymore in HW.
Well, Tom. The thing about NPH,as i think - he`s just a regular guy, not typically a hollywood-teenager-one. He`s outspoken, though people often misunderstand him. He`s just him, trying to do his best being himself. His nominations and the lack of photos of his private life speaks for itself, i think!
We had three neighbours over today. Two men and a woman. The one man started talking about how bad it had to be gay. It was just wrong, according to him. His girlfriend agreed. It was just wrong! He said he had seen some gay-porn several times, so he said he had a reason to think so.
I asked him why he seeked those places if he hated their life-style so much...didn`t really give me any answere.
He and his girlfriend went soon after, as they understood me, my husband and our other neighbour, johnny, didn`t share their point of view. Some people just see themselfs!:(
