That's just Lincoln Thinkin'

"'Razor Face' - Elton John - One of the greatest inspirations for Pedestrian. Lincoln Booth is a razor face, for sure. You'll see."

This is one of Nick Gray of the Southern Gothic's song pics. His comments make you wonder

"I heard he's back looking for a place to lay down"

"Oh it must be hard for the likes of you to get by

In a world that you just can't see through
And it looks so cold
How does it feel to know you can't go home"

"You're a song on the lips of an aging star"
"Razor Face, oh amazing grace
Protects you like a glove
And I'll never learn the reason why
I love your Razor Face "

Is Lincoln a photographer who figuratively has no home, no where to rest? Has he never settled in? Or has he burned it all behind him? Is he so closed off behind his camera that he never is a part of it? That he's been living the charmed life so long, but it's all so empty? Is it Mona who changes that?

Just some Lincoln thinkin'

One more thing - love that a song that is a inspiration for a character Austin is drawn to is a song that was in Moonlight Mile. Funny how life and art weave themselves together.

Video of Jake and Sean Penn talking at the VF party.

Sighting of them at the Madonna party too.

That "Reeke sighting" at the Madonna party doesn't sound credible. I'll wait for the pictures.

Funny, I saw a story about how Madonna's party didn't get a lot of big names, and that a lot of people who did show up bailed to go to the V.F. party. So I'd say pr is doing some correcting.

Madonna, too, was at the Vanity Fair Oscar party.

Hey, Elton John! Cool! What a music catalog that guy has. It has got to be one of the biggest in the industry.

**sigh**. What a frustrating time. I'm sitting with my behind 3 inches off my desk chair after the character assault/accusations dished at me from last night. I'm pretty sure it's the same person who has also done it here. They keep repeating the same lines. That's alright, tho. I survived. But I could really use an outlet to air out some thoughts. Is anyone interested in a chat discussion tonight? We can set an eggtimer to it so it doesn't get too long, say 1/2 hr or so. Anyone going to be around with not much going on? Let me know. I do need to make something for my cubemate's birthday snack day tomorrow, but that won't take long at all. I'm trying a new recipe that's a real winner. I just have to decide whether to try & sneak in some green pepper & onion into it as several people here don't like those things.

What I'd really like to do is pound a few golf balls, but I'm not a golfer at all. So I'll just pound the pavement after work on my walk where I deal with DFord, who continues to psychologically bother me.

You know? I would love to know if there are any other celebrities out there with fan blogs where the fans get so passionate about their favorite celebrity and draw sides over issues, GF's, BF's, and the like. I really can't imagine that there are. Can you imagine fans getting nail-scratching/spit flying nasty with each other over say, Gerard Butler? Orlando Bloom? Tom Cruise? Perhaps Zac Efron; I have no idea about him.

Well, guess I better get back. Hope everyone's doing okay. I'm doing pretty good, thank you. We're having a splendid day weatherwise as I think alot of people are. And I've found a great internet music station to listen to. They don't play alot of the same songs that other stations do. They play ones that you haven't heard forever and a day. Then they'll throw in a little Katy Perry every once in awhile.

Nice pics there, Special. I'm working on an email to you in between my work, lol. Didn't know if you had service in that regard or not.
Okay, gotta go! Tons to do. Hey, Destiny! What's for lunch today? I'm having, what was it? Blackberry yogurt, I think. It had seeds so that had to be what it was. I didn't even pay attention.

Hope I didn't sound whiney up there; didn't mean to. I was dishing it out myself. Thought I better make that correction or it would bug me all afternoon when I know I'm not going to be able to get on here.

Ok, now I'm done.

Knocking on wood- everything is working PG.

Favorite Madonna/Oscar Story - courtesy of Dlisted and Sun Newspapers

The Sun says that Sean ran into his old bitch Vadge at her Oscars after-party. Vadge had Baby Jesus with her and when she went to thank Sean on his win, he answered, “Thanks. Another kid already?”

True or not it makes for great copy. This is how you write when ex's meet each other at the VF party.

Hey PG, I'd love a quick chat. Work is insanely busy right now, so to be safe I would suggest 9 p.m. E.S.T. as I'm not sure what time I'll get home.

I read this morning that Liz Smith has been dropped from the NYP, supposedly to save money. But it makes me wonder if we won't see more shake-ups in the print media. People is safe, but I wonder about some of the lesser publications.

I love Madonna in the picture DListed ran with the story. I liked the dark hair on her, and of course that was before she decided that looking like a social x-ray was the way to go. Sigh....

I think you got that backwards Special. I think he gave up going without the shirt. ;)

His shirt! LOLLL!

Destiny, that sounds good to me. That'll be 2000, or 8pm my time. See you there!

I'm off to walk. Can you believe it's 67 degrees? Glad I packed shorts.

Special, glad to hear it's all working so far. I'll knock, too, for ya.

Oh, & Destiny, I wanted to say that I think the newspaper industry and maybe magazines further down the line are in some trouble, that's for sure. I have a friend who's an editor at the KC Star and they've had alot of layoffs and still nervous about things. Because everyone reads stuff online. Now there are people who like to still read it (I do the Sunday paper, but really only to look at the ads) or do the crossword. But alot of people are reading news online. I know that's what I do anymore. Plus, with the economy the way it is, one area to cut out expenses is to cut out the newspaper subscription. People will just do without and pay only when they really need one. I think the internet is where it is at. Where it's headed. And there won't be any going back. Today's kids are growing up on a computer-led life. They can even get the internet on their phones. They won't know anything else.

*Great* Austin post, Spesh. Interesting times.

I have yelled from apartment windows in Manhattan,
screamed from the tops of tall buildings in Austin.

Lately, I howl like a werewolf in Los Angeles.

Usually from a balcony or deck overlooking all the twinkling
lights of Hollywood at night. My newest desire is
to shout from a tall building in every city I set foot in.

.... your faithful steed Austin Nichols

Check it out over on Southern Gothic Productions

And oh yeah - you going to see more about this one tomorrow. Trust.

Hey, Destiny, just to let you know. I'm using my safer browser but that means that I can't use my name. It'll just show as a number. I'll I.D. myself, but just to let you know ahead of time. When I go have those guys set up my wireless printing, I'm going to have him check out what he did to my Maxilla (or whatever it's called) Fox homepage because I can only use it to cruise the internet. I can't access my email from it anymore. I don't know what they did, but that's why I have trouble using my registered name in the chat room.

Very interesting entry from ol' mr. Austin there. So, lately from California, eh? That oughta make the scoffers reeeeaaal happy, lol.

That's right. It also doesn't let me use my Blogger name & password. Isn't that weird? So now I have to use the name thing. So my lil' Snoopy isn't going to show.

Just saw Austin's post then came right here. Interesting comment for sure. We knew his episodes were done filming and Jake is all cleaned up for a change. Looking good for his man. I can understand why Austin is howling, I'd be howling too.

This is the same story about fred Leightons in NYC but now it says Reese was there with Jake, picking out rings (LOL). A comment about how they're in love, froma costar in Nailed (no one I ever heard of). She must want a part in Reeses next movie.

CO-STAR EXPECTS WEDDING BELLS FOR JAKE & REESE

Actress MALINDA WILLIAMS has fuelled reports her NAILED co-star JAKE GYLLENHAAL is set to marry girlfriend REESE WITHERSPOON after confessing she expects wedding bells soon. The 28-year-old Jarhead star and his actress lover were recently spotted ring shopping at New York’s Fred Leighton jewellery store, and his latest co-star insists it’s obvious the couple will be man and wife soon. She tells Life & Style magazine, "I wouldn't be surprised if they get married soon. Reese was on the set a lot. She and Jake are clearly in love.
"They're like two regular, down-home people. They seem very comfortable around each other… It's like they've been together for a really long time - like an old married couple."

Bored with each other is more like it.

Anonymous said...

Notice the decisive use of "Jarhead" as opposed to oh, I don't know, "Brokeback Mountain".

Anonymous said...

Old married couples often don't have sex with each other anymore. I guess the no sexual chemistry go noticed by people on the set.

Oh yes. too bad the kids don't seem comfortable with jake. what, are they locked up somewhere else in the house?! It's really pathetic that these 2 have to float all these dumb articles to keep them in the news. Is it really too hard to just make them a little bit credible? Just a little?

Looking forward to Special's post tomorrow. Gonna be hilarious! Howl like a werewolf in LA indeed!!

I am sorry that I have not been
posting the last few days but it
has been HECTIC!! Last Friday, I
had to pay a computer man to hook
up my new Dell laptop and printer.
He worked on the other minipc and
could not get it working even after
I got the 56 modem. Anyway, I sent
it back last night to CA from UPS.
So I am glad that's over.
About Jake and Reese, it is the
same old thing. I get so disgusted
most of the time. Please just keep
me posted when The Informers comes
out. I do not mean to sound so
grouchy. I hope everyone is doing
okay and feeling pretty good. Take
care.

prairiegirl said...

Hey, Kace, no you don't sound grouchy, lol, you just sound about darn normal. You & Special need to get together and share computer/server/provider woes. I could join in, myself, I've sure had my share. Lovely things at times, aren't they?

Now, wait a minute. On that article about the rings. Big speed bump of mess-up. They both were there shopping for rings? Then why did we only have a shot of Jake? Where was his actress lover? Using the facilities? And where was she on the return trip home? On the flight to NYC? And in the pics with his sister, Maggie, and Peter? Boy, does she hide well.

Did anybody watch the Jamie Foxx video with Jake? WDW has it. I have two questions-

1. What was up with the panda head?

2. Did anybody else think the combination of Ron Howard, Jake Gyllenhaal, Samuel L. Jackson, and Forrest Whittaker just did not work?
