Oh yeah, norwegian girl, it works just fine when I copied & pasted. I was being a duncehead and just trying to click on it, lol. You know, he almost looks a little familiar, but I'm sure there's no way I've seen him before. I love his accent; wish I understood Norwegian. Nice pictures of Jake. I wish he wouldn't mess with the color of his hair, but at least it's not a total color job. He looks pretty darn hot there. And I like the bedhead look on him, whether it's for real or styled that way with who knows what. I love the names of hair gels/volumizers these days. There's some great ones.
I got to mulling over the idea of the possibility of that musical and couple of things got me to thinking. Jake doing some singing for real and I would love to hear if he really can or not. He must or he wouldn't have tried out for Moulin Rouge. I'd love to see him in a musical - as Hugh Jackman said, the musical is back. I can't sit through all of them, but there are plenty I like. Pal Joey and about anything Judy Garland was in. What fun those are. The other thing I realized was watching Jim Carrey interact against him. That would be something. I've only seen Jim C in The Mask, Liar Liar, and Dumb & Dumber, I think, but I really liked him in all of those. I know, none of those are serious movies, but he made me laugh so much in those. I've never seen Damn Yankees, but I've heard the title before. And I loved Michael K's take on it. Where does that guy come up with this stuff? Damn Yank Me. LOLLLL! That's excellent. He is a clever wit.
We are getting snow right now. Probably 1 1/2-2 inch. now. What a drag. Supposed to go out to lunch today with sister & a friend of ours, but not sure if that's happening. Ponak's, Special. Have you eaten there? It's on the West Side of Kansas City. Excellent Mexican food. Not sure if I'll be dogsitting or not. Kind of hope not.
Sorry this is so long! Hey, has anybody seen this new Pop Tart commercial? It's hilarious! This little puppet/cartoon kid comes down the stairs for his Pop Tart breakfast, I guess, and he starts dancing and he does the Running Man in his socks. They're little white athletic crew socks with the double green stripe at the top. So cute!! Then he does the moonwalk. Lol, I love it. Uh, that's the kind of commercial you get on Sat. morning. Watching the Brady Bunch, one of my favorite vacation episodes of theirs. Where they go to the Grand Canyon. You know that one.
We hit 60 yesterday which makes New Englanders break out the shorts but Winter is a cruel mistress and we should have 6-10 inches of snow by Monday morning- they are saying a Nor'easter storm is possible. (That's when the storm goes out over the ocean and spins back on us and sometimes stalls and just keeps snowing.) So a shopping trip to the grocery store before it starts to snow tomorrow.

I am liking the chestnut lowlights Jake's got. He's always had some color work done even back in 04-06 it was just subtle and gave a little more depth to his color. Even Ted mentioned it once about Toothy. This is a little brighter.

Boy, you know, that Robert Reed had some fantastic long legs. I mean, physically, he was a real stud. My sister just pointed out something I'd never noticed. Why in the heck did they sleep in tents when they had that big ol' pop up trailer? Those things ought to be good for sleeping 6 or so. Mike just went limping into his & Carol's tent. Is Alice in a tent? Yeah. Are the kids, too? Yeah. Then who's sleeping in the pop up?! lol
Lunch is called off - postponed til next Saturday. Boy, Special, sounds like you're going to get a pretty good snow. Don't you love how everyone hits the grocery store before a storm is supposed to hit? They do that here. Everyone stocks up like crazy. This week, though, we're supposed to be in the 50's, 60's, and even 70 later in the week, so at least the snow won't stick around for long. Maybe your guys' won't either.
While I was in YouTube, I watched one of my "Favorites", the one with Jack Twist highlights of all his complaining/whining/moaning about everything. I hadn't seen it in quite awhile and that thing is just hilarious.
DC is under a winter storm watch. I am hoping it will finally be a big one. We haven't had a real big snowstorm since we've had Tink and I want to see her not have ground clearance!

It's always fun to see how dogs react to snow, Wicked. Especially when they go to do their business, trying to hold their back end up so it doesn't touch the snow, lol.
If it gets real cold, though, you have to watch & make sure the pads on their paws don't stick to the ground sometimes.

Here's some disturbing news. People.com's lead story is that Rihanna is meeting with Chris Brown. I was really bothered to read that IF it's true. I can't believe it. If a guy did that to you, would you go back into the same room as him? That's insane. At least not until he'd had a good bout of counseling/treatment. Will have to wait until more comes out.

Jake looks a little tense with the brow furrow but these and the med pics, he looks so young. Its like 2006/early 2007 again, pre Reeke. Back when he had fans coming out the yingyang. Sadly now with Reeke, even pics of him alone generate little interest.
Special, in the shopping pics on Feb 7, did you notice the sack that's tucked under Jake's arm? He holds that sack pretty secure under there. There's a name printed in an arc under the sack or on the sack but you can see clearly a pretty good size picture of a toy train engine on the cover of whatever that is in there, like it's a book or something. Like maybe a children's book? It's in the Venice pictures. It's definitely a toy train engine.

PG - the store that the bag is from is called The Stronghold and is described as "is the couture jean Mecca of the Westside." So it looks like that peek of blue with the orange stitching in the bag is a pair of jeans.

Yeah, looking up online, sounds like that Stronghold store in Venice is quite the place. Custommade jeans. Plus, sounds like it's more than a store. Some guy attended a party there. And I guess their jeans can cost as much as $1000, but reading alot of people's comments, they must be quite the long lasting kind of jeans. Lol, kind of like the Lands End of denim.
I can see what does look like the jeans in there. The train might be a part of their store logo then, maybe? I couldn't find anything on that. Maybe the jeans come with a cardboard wrap around them much like what they stick inside men's dress shirts. And look at the sack/bag they come in. It's not plastic. It's like a cloth bag with drawstring closure. Maybe those are the Stronghold jeans he's wearing at the medical bldg. Well, learn something new everyday. And to think all I knew about were Levi's and Lee's.
Well, dogsitting called off. They were headed for a gig in Omaha, NE, and he said the snow is even worse up there. Boy, the Weather Channel is very rarely this far off. They said an inch yesterday and then about an inch today. Ha! Yeah, right.
Saw this blurb in Star Magazine(the one with Rhianna on the cover) while in line at the Supermarket, at the Oscars Governors Ball, Reese Witherspoon, congratulated Kate Ledger on her brother's win and to offer condolences. She asked Kate if she was interesting in acting, Kate said no but she does have an interest in producing. Reese gave Kate her number and told her to call her if she needed any advice.

Wouldn't Reese have offered condolences then? And her phone number, if she was so concerned, and had been with Jake at the family's gatherings? Sounds like all of it is fiction, the stories about Reeke being at the memorials/funereal, and Reese talking to Kate L. Really sounds like Reese's PR is trying to make amends..even show up Jake, since nothing was in Star or anywhere about him approaching Kate L.
What's interesting about these 2 photo sets? No car keys. Jake always has his keys out, the remote, the plastic car dealer lease key ring, the green hose thing whatever, out when he's going to the car and of course when he's getting in the drivers seat ready to start it up and go. But these 2 sets, nothing. No remote in hand ready to unlock the door. No pics of him opening the car door either, there's always been those shots in past pap pics. Soooooo it pretty much looks like someone was in the car, a passenger. No need to lock it up or take the keys inside the coffee place/med center would there, if someone was in the car waiting or could unlock the doors from the inside.
Babblers who see my comment are going to swaer it's Reese in the car. Maybe, but wouldn't the showmance need all the PR from PopSugar it can get? "Jake and Reese Get Coffee Before Driving to Chapel for Wedding Planning!" or "Jake and Reese Go to Med Center for Marriage License Blood Tests!"

Forgot to say too those shots of the car are massively tight crops especially in the coffee set. Not a spare inch. Remember the med center pap pics in the past? Everyting from 1st step out of the building to him driving away. Same with coffee pics especially with Reese. These 2 sets, none of that. It totally screams someone else was there, and not Reese.

Can't believe I didn't notice that. And you are right, the car keys, the tight shots, a smaller amount of pictures than usual of Jake esp. at Peet's. It does tend to make you think that someone is indeed in the car. And Jake walking out with just one coffee it makes you wonder if who ever was in in the car came out of Peet's just before you see Jake in the pictures.
Or doesn't like coffee. Austin seems to me like a water kind of guy not a coffee hound or a tea sipper. just my impression.

And that last shot of Jake at the med center, with his back to the pap. He wasn't on his way in, he was coming out to the car which is right there and he turned his back. Like maybe to say "we're finished here, no more shots, ok?" Another thing I just noticed, the car Jake is next to in the med center, its the same as Jake's car but it's not in a parking spot. No keys in his hand, no parking spot, he stops short at the front of the car and turns his back like to say "that's enough, no more pics." Maybe someone else was driving and picking him up. Maybe the coffee pics, the car in the red zone..they dropped Jake off, came back 5 minutes, maybe an hour later, whatever was planned, drove up outside, parked real quick in the red zone....just thinking out loud, but it's strange those 2 sets.
Yeah, real good observation, Anyone Notice. No indeed, there aren't those usual car keys in hand with the remote control ready to hit. I had noticed the one cup, but of course, didn't associate that with the no-keys. I definitely think if Reese were at either event, she most definitely would've been right there with him. So who else might have been there? Perhaps the reason for the rather stern look. And I just figured maybe he'd just woken up in the Peet's pics. I know I'm sure probably drawn-lipped like that first thing in the morning.

Kate Ledger and Abbie Cornish are great friends. Very close. Reese wouldn't make nice with Kate unless all was well with R&A which makes the "shunning" stories and the OMG how awkward!! comments in the tabloids so ridiculous. Or the story with Kate and Reese is a lie...it has to be one or the other. You can't choose to believe both.
I've heard any awkwardness between them is in the past. They all just coexist and focus on keeping the kids happy and well adjusted. The reason you haven't seen the kids so much is that they have spent the majority of their time in January - March with Ryan. They will spend the majority of time April - June with Reese while Ryan makes a movie then the split the summer while Reese works and so on.

Abbie was with the Ledger family after Heath died. She travelled with them on the plane from Australia to LA and stayed with them throughout.
I thought Reese might have met Kate at one of the LA memorials for Heath she attended with Jake.
Reese probably saw Kate at the Kodak Theater. Jake wasn't there--he just went to the VF party. (I think the Ledger family skipped the after-Oscar parties). And we know Jake didn't go (probably wasn't invited) to the special party celebrating Heath's win that Johnny Depp (bless his soul) held at his LA mansion for Ledger's family (including nieces, nephews and cousins). Michelle and Matilda even attended (Dermott McRoney--sp?--was there--he was photographed with them outside by a car).

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure she went to one of them with Jake. They were spotted there both going and inside. Also, Jake confirmed to those two fans who saw him at the "Nailed" set that he did indeed go to one of the memorials. I'm not a Reese fan and I find Jake/Reese to be nauseating but I do think they went to one of the memorials. Probably the one that was set up by Tom Cruise--the one that Nicola Pecorini expressed disgust toward because according to him, most of the people who were there Heath had disdain for (he said this to EW in their recent cover story on Heath).
Jake would never take his beard to the memorial. There were no reports about Reese attending memorials.
If I remember correctly only one tabloid (People?) mentioned that Jake was at the memorial - no details, just one sentence, reported long after the memorial.
P.S. LA Heath memorial - a lot of celebrities attended, there were numerous reports, but not one mention of Jake.
Huh? Reese was definitely with Jake. They were even more umblically attached to each other last year (certainly after Heath's death). Even a caterer at the LA memorial that Tom Cruise set up talked about how he worked at the event--he listed all the people he saw (who were listed in the papers) and he did talk about Jake/Reese--and how Jake was "joking" about something and she laughed. I believe that. I believe they would act like that while people like Naomi Watts (who was there), Michelle and Heath's agent Steve Alexander were sitting there grief-stricken and in pain.

So they've up the total for snow for us, and when the tell a foot two days ahead it makes you know you are going to get dumped on.
People never mentioned that Jake was at the memorial service, it may have been one of the lesser rags like In Touch. Out side of that, there were no menton of either Jake nor Reese attending either if you count that blogger who catered the event (it was a girl btw). That was the CAA memrial put together by Cruise. If Jake told those fans that he wnt to a memorial service, i believe that is the one he attended.

I snooped around a bit today at sites that mentioned Damn Yankees and any recent Jake sightings. Hardly any comments made at all. We can't tell how many paps were there for the recent pics but I don't think he is being followed by loads like in the old days.
Also, saw a trailer of The Informers and it seemed like there was less Austin in it. I hope his part was not shortened in the film as well. Editing goes up to the last minute sometimes. Box Office Mojo is showing an April release date.
The newest trailer was cut for general audiences (green band) and Austin is pretty much naked and having sex in the movie, so I don't think they could put all that in that kind of trailer.
m, was the trailer in the theater? Just wondering because I like trailers short. Sometimes they go on and on they tell the whole story, sheesh no one wants to see the movie after that, whats the point? Wondered if it didn't show much of Austin or anyone so they could keep it short for that reason?

After almost 2yrs of Jake pics where he is only with the Chin or the Chin and her kids 98% of the time, how come after the Jan.09 Reeke blitz we suddenly get hot looking Jake out and about by himself? Something is up in the Reeke world. TR said that the kids have mostly been with Ryan and then will be mostly with Reese from April on. Does this mean that we will be subjected to another blitz of Reeke and her kids in a million photo ops to show what a wonderful step-dad Jake is? TR have your heard any whispering about Reeke maybe being close to the end of their run or will just keep going on and on?

Boy, had to scrounge around in the kitchen for dinner tonight. Didn't step a foot outside AT ALL today. In fact, hardly anybody has here. Most of everyone's cars still has all the snow on them.
Wicked, getting snow yet? Our system must be headed your all's way. We probably got maybe 3 inches or so, which isn't bad but when those temps dropped like that, everything froze. Should be fun getting out at 7:30 tomorrow morning & sliding out to the car! Our guys here @ the complex are great, tho. They were out as early as this morning with the snowblowers and bobcat.

I think the trailer was on ONTD. I say I think because I visited so many sites today, I cant recall for sure and I went back quite a few days on many of them. I watched it because it was HQ and was expecting to enjoy Austin. Makes sense though that they have to have one suitable for TV and general audiences. The one we saw earlier was definitely R rated.
Prairie Girl, did you see they are having a read along on DC slash. They posted a link to a story called Big Boots of Pain. They will read 2 chapters then discuss on Weds. I don't comment there but plan to read the story. For one, the link has the entire story in one document which is nice, and it is a finished story, which is even better.

Anyway, it really depends on what you perceive as weak. It's a good topic but I think she was taking it way too seriously. I wouldn't term his character weak anyway.

I never listened to him too much but when I used to go out for lunch alot, I remember he would be on AM radio during that time frame and I remember him always saying "Good day" at the end of his broadcast.

I'll believe the storm when I see it. I don't even bother watching the local news anymore, in part because I hate the hype over weather that never happens. It was warm enough to walk this morning, and it was snowing ever so lightly, but it has stopped already.
