Shawl'n for it

Somewhere in Utah, ok Park City, after numerous sighting, some one captured the Squatch in one of his favorite environments. (Anything to do with film)

It is not known if he was lured with  movie popcorn or "just a hey can I get a picture", but he stopped and stared at the camera.

Something familiar when looking at his coverings.

Perhaps it is the sweater he seems to have shawl'n for

Who else shawls for it?

 Guess this one button'd  up.

Thanks to PG for finding the Sudance Kid.

I-tah, Utah, We-tah

Yesterday Austin tweeted from near a spot at the top in Utah.

Today there's a tweet with Jake at the hottest spot in Utah.

Call it a case of the We-tahs.

Or a bit of Berlinale.

Jake's past Sundance moment, could be described as a future Enemy promotion.

Austin in his element in Utah.

Roll Baby Roll

Jake knew to cut the party short after remembering what happen to Austin after an all night stroller.

Very good Gylls

Looks like Jake is out in Park City for Sundance.

Why is venturing out to Utah this year?

Mom's movie  Very Good Girls.

It was just this last summer that Jake was visiting Mom on the set of the movie
and now at her directorial debut with Godmom Jamie Lee.

Of course this isn't the first time he was at Sundance for a Good Girl.

Now wouldn't  this would be the occasion for Jake to bring back his Sundance hat?

Back to go forward

Will we see Jake trade in his go to warm wear for some cold weather gear and head to Sundance?

PopSugar hinted at the same thing, and it makes sense in getting back to the Jake he is.Jake started out a indie darling and had great success at Sundance with Donnie Darko and The Good Girl and with the indie feel of the upcoming EOW it looks he's getting back to his movie roots. So why not do a little career version of going home.
And with Austin not filming at the moment maybe the cinephile will go to Sundance, back to where he got discovered after crashing a party as a high school senior. And then it was Cali -forn-i-a for this tall Texan.

And because once is never enough.

Back to Work

Break time is over! It looks like Austin in back in Wilmington and back to filming and filming with Sophia. Check out it the brief up date from Spooky. The episode is for February. So will it be a Brulian Valentine's or more secrets for sweeps?
In the past there were dinners at Jar before time apart but circumstances are different nowadays and maybe take out from their favorite pizza place is now the go-to. Amazing how little things take your time. (little not tiny - big difference) But there is always time for what you want.

January's going to be a busy month for this frequent flier as he will be adding up more segments on the his Executive Platinum status flying East and West for the next few weeks, and hanging in the club lounge. Watch the guy on the right - looks a little shady.

Have to admit there is a little concern about Austin not being at Sundance. Why?

Scheduling shooting OTH? No that can be figured out.

More time away from home? Bicoastal easier than Bicontinential.

More like can Austin really keep a shirt on that long? OR his pants up for that matter. Utah is not Southern California or even North Carolina where you can lose your shirt or drop trow moon and not worry. Do that in Utah, and you got some 'splainin' to do about what Jack frost nipped.

Then again will Austin start a new fashion frenzy in Sundance doing the puffy vest as the winter version of the kayak towel?

No more just a lone star

"For Texas-bred Austin Nichols the I'm-gonna-be-in-pictures moment arrived his senior year of high school, when he crashed a party at Sundance while visiting relatives in Park City, Utah. 'A woman in the corner kept looking at me, which was sort of awkward,' saysthe 24-year-old, whose snarled smile and cut-from-stonecheekbones had caught the eye of a prominent manager. "Six months later I was enrolled at USC and going on auditions.' "
- Vogue, September 2004

10 years later Austin returns to Sundance as part of the ensemble cast that is getting major buzz for The Informers. With Mickey Rourke hot in the running to be nominated for an Academy Award for The Wrestler, Billy Bob Thorton, Kim Bassinger and a return of Winona Ryder, The Informers is throwing a constellation of star power for Sundance. The buzz is already starting f and best bet is that the it won't be a buzz but a roar by the time the movie premieres in January.

Can we hope for some great new pictures from the Sundance photo shoots? Fingers crossed. And wanna bet there's gonna be a few interviews too.

And if Sundance is the North American premiere - could Cannes be the next premiere for it? And isn't there another movie that got the bump to premiere Cannes. Brothers, perhaps?

The stars are getting really bright for this Texan

Differences Then and Now:

Then : Snuck into parties
Now: Sneaking out of parties ???

Then: One woman in the corner looking at him
Now: Everyone looking at him

Then: No swag
Now: Swagged a plenty

Then: Was a high school kid
Now: Playing a kid not too far out of high school

Then: Went for the snow skiing
Now: Snow skiing , when is there time to ski?

Then: Only Austin Nichols known was a Bourbon
Now: 30 Projects later- Austin Nichols, actor is gaining quicker than liquor

Then: High school kid with big dreams of being a great actor.
Now: Guy who has grown into that great actor.

Some big chances in 10 years - makes you wonder what else has happened since then. ; )

Funny how the circle goes - getting discovered there, playing a character who takes his movie to there and now going back to Sundance - not a fan, not as a character but as actor in a movie premiering there.

Julian on his way to Sundance - you know there something about this look I like. Maybe it's that JG Hook sweater.

Butch & Sundance

Another moniker for our favorite twosome.

Now before people all get in a twist - remember Jake does have those blues just like his godfather who gave us Butch. But Austin, come on he doesn't look anything like Redford. No he doesn't, but if wasn't for Sundance, there might never be Austin Nichols, actor - he might have been just a water skiing doctor who loves movies.

But it was Sundance where the sneaky skier who can fib with the best, snuck into a party and not only got discovered but got an agent at the same time.

"For Texas-bred Austin Nichols, the I'm-gonna-be-in-pictures moment arrived his senior year of high school, when he crashed a party at Sundance while visiting relatives in Park City, Utah. Jake would agree that Sundance has been good - Donnie Darko, The Good Girl, hosting the 2004 festival with Zoey Deschannel. But bet if you asked him the best thing that ever came out of Sundance, his grin would say it all.

Sundance 2008 opened yesterday, and runs through 27th. And like always there is a Gyllenhaal/Sarsgaard presence at Sundance again this year. Peter is starring in "The Mysteries of Pittsburgh" with Sienna Miller, Jon Foster, Mena Suvari and Nic Nolte.
