Separated at Birth?

By now most of you have heard or seen Jake's cameo in Andy Samberg's short Iran So Far. Here it is you haven't seen it:

Live Leak - Iran So Far

Is Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad really a very hairy Jake Gyllenhaal?
And is Jake flashing the peace sign or really saying something that he wants to say to the paps that chase him?

EW.com has listed Jake in their Ultimate Male Hotties from the 90's to 2007 gallery.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad you might run a country, but making the hottie list at EW.com? Jake rules that one.

Hi 12:41, glad you could come by and visit. Give yourself a name and join us.

And 12:59. Thanks for answering, do we have a name that we can thank?

When I read Ted last night my first thought was TT, and my second was that maybe I am too quick to see TT in posts like that.

Thanks Special for the info abou GQ in the previous thread. While I usually really enjoy that fact you and Wicked frequently put up new posts, this time I sorry you already started a new thread as I really enjoyed seeing that picture of Austin pop up at the top of the page.

Well, I love the Austin picture but I totally adore this video! and picutre of Jake! I love Jake being part of the joke on a brilliant SNL short. :)

Btw, there is video on X17online and Jake wasn't at a private party, he was having dinner at a restaurant with Peter. They added it after they put the pics of Jake in his car with the blanket. So no one was hidden under there. And Jake gave the paps a little bit of the finger and Peter looked in amused. They were so up in his face in the car it is a good thing no accident happened.

I don't think we were too quick to read TT into today's comment particularly after last week a few posters had already said something about the word "engaged" being applied to Jake.
I really don't think it was Ted talking about himself. He's always done plenty of chatting about his bf. Including a description of the marriage proposal! It's a reference to somebody closeted and Ted does like to talk about Toothy :-)

Wicked said...

GC- I have such a strong feeling that Ted is going to bring up this "recently engaged fruit" again. I really felt this mention was foreshadowing for another mention. I don't know if it refers to Jake, but I really don't think this is the last we've heard of it.

Frenchy- did you watch "House of Usher?" Should I buy it or put it in the Netflix queue?

Special K said...

I think Ted will revisit this too.
It too good for him not mention again. Especially since he is recently engaged as well.

Hey 4:14 -- I think your agreement to TBs, will be seconded over and over again.

Hey do you have a name we can put to a post?

That SNL short just rules my world right now and I love Jake's part in it - so sly and funny. When SNL get it right, it's deadly. Thank you for finding someone's attempt at the lyrics, wicked!

It's tough to watch that X17 video seeing Jake so horrifically bombarded; it's scary, actually. I think the blatant filming of him and Peter while they're in the restaurant while it's pitch dark outside is even more disturbing. I fully admit, though, that the way Jake looked that night is my favourite look on him (facial hair included!). He looked amazing. The combination of seeing him ticked off, shaking his head and reversing out of the restaurant drive with steely determination and flying off down the street was sexy. I know, sue me! lol.

Damn, they took down that SNL clip. You can no longer watch it!
:(

Wicked, "House of Husher" is the best "average film" I've watched lately but I'm afraid seeing Austin in such a sensual, sexy part probably has a lot to to with my enthusiasm.

I don't regret one single buck I shed for that DVD but if you're not into cozy, atmospheric stories that never frightens one single millisecond (although marketed as scary) and features the regular lady in distress, disturbed aristocratic gentleman, creepy old servant and contrived storyline you might want to put it right into the Netflix queue.

But again Austin proves he knows how to properly kiss the ladies (hell he learned about girls with Jake, didn't he!) and he's simply yummy in that movie. :)

New Ted

Dear Ted:
I feel sorry for Toothy Tile. If he were a woman, would anyone care? Women who seem to have no sexual preference—e.g., Jodie Foster—have kids, and nobody says anything. Obviously, T.T. is worried coming out will wreck his career. I think Toothy is David Spade.

Dear One Outta Three:
In an age of Angelina Jolie bisexuality-fashion, your first statement is absolutely dead-on. But after that? Oh, girl. I assure you, Ms. F has quite the sexual appetite, and Toothy T is most certainly not David Spade. I said sexy!

Dear Ted:
I'm getting so tired of other E! sources talking about Jake and Reese. Have you really not informed them that she's just not that into him?

Dear Hex in the City:
How my colleagues choose to amuse themselves is hardly my affair.

frenchy said...

THANK YOU SPESH!!! I hadn't watched it yet and everybody was saying how hilarious it was... well nobody was wrong! :D

frenchy said...

Not much from Ted these days. All I wish is for him to tell us that everything's ok between TT & his BF (sigh).

frenchy said...

... or at least hints that things are not going that smoothly.

Do you actually think Ted has lost his TT connection(s)?

Wicked said...

Do you actually think Ted has lost his TT connection(s)?

Yes, I do think Ted had a very well-connected source in the TT camp that he has now lost. I think he has someone talking to him now, but not someone as connected as before. I mean, how many times is Ted going to rule out the same people?

Frenchy, thanks for your review of "House of Usher." Does the DVD have any extras that might be worth the $?

frenchy said...

House of Usher special features as noted on the box but not watched nor listened to: deleted scenes, filmmaker commentary, trailer, trailer gallery.

Hmmm, the filmmaker commentary might be interesting (comments on Austy's performance perhaps?)

frenchy said...

Please note I said "average movie" but Austy's performance is good and right on target IMO.

Anonymous said...

Was Austin nude?

frenchy said...

Halfway nude... that is shirtless. ;)

Honestly, he's really sexy in it!

Anonymous said...

I agree Ted must have lost some of his sources about TT. Hope I don't offend anyone by saying Ted's answers about TT are becoming really boring. Of course TT is not David Spade for god's sake!

Thanks for the review Frenchy, being a big fan of Poe I am not sure I want to see it ...
But, now that you put that movie out of the way I am back with my question:

WHEN are you going to watch bubble boy?

Thought I'll forget about it, eh? ;-)

Anonymous said...

I think he definitely has a source left--vis a vis, the recent TT getting it on with his bf in a gay enclave and TT talking to Time or Newsweek about coming out. Whether they're true or not, is whether the source is any good and who knows. But he does still have a source left in the TT camp. But again, who knows if he/she is creditable.

Oh Wicked, I just couldn't resist filling in some of the blanks in the lyrics, because I'm neurotic that way . . . tee hee! They are very funny. ;) I also added some rhythym:
(It's double posted on the previous thread too, you may want to delete, thanks!)

Iran So Far by Andy Samberg (with guest vocals by Adam Levine and cameo appearance by Jake Gyllenhaal)

They say true love comes only once in a lifetime,
And even though we’re from opposite ends of the earth,
My heart tells me you’re the one for me. Mahmoud.

I remember when it started, saw you on the news,
You were hatin’ gays; I was eating food.

But I was feelin’ you, and even though I disagreed with almost everything you said,
You ain’t wrong to me, so strong to me, you belong to me.
Like a very hairy Jake Gyllenhaal to me.

Mahmoud, you make my heart beat right outta my chest,
My mind says no, but my body says yes.

Nuclear threat? The only threat I see,
Is the threat of you not comin’ home with me.

Our love for each other’s like when atoms collide,
Can’t express how I feel,
And, yo, Adam, let’s rhyme.

And Iran, Iran so far away -
Is your home, but in my heart you’ll stay.

He ran, for the president ‘a Iran,
We ran, together, to a tropical island.
My man, Mahmoud, is known for violence,
Smilin’, if he can still do it then I can.

They call you weasel, they say your methods are medieval,
You could play the Jews, I could be your Jim Caviezel.

S&M, nestlin’ when we’re wrestlin’,
You could be the port that I put my vessel in.

So I try to nuke the TV, but you can still see me,
With your sleepy brown eyes, butter pecan thighs,
And your hairy butt . . . yeah.

And Iran, Iran so far away -
Come home, and in my arms you’ll stay.

I used to look at the stars and dream,
’Round the world, the same stars we’ve seen,
And the twinkle in your eyes, Mahmoud.

Talk smooth to me, till we outta time,
Your pants high waisted, damn, so fly.

We can take a trip to the animal zoo,
And laugh at all the funny things that animals do.

Like Eugene, you got me straight trippin’, boo,
Hope you’ll look in my eyes and say I’m trippin’ too.

You say Iran don’t have da bomb, but they already do,
You should know by now, it’s you. It’s you.

And Iran, Iran so far away –
Is your home, but in my heart you’ll stay.

You crazy for this one, Mahmoud.
You can deny the Holocaust all you want,
But you can’t deny that there’s somethin’ between us.

I know you say there’s no gays in Iran,
But you’re in New York now, baby.
It’s time to stop hidin’ . . . and start livin’.

Woooooohoooooowooooohooooo . . .

Fade Out

I agree that the letters tonight are boring. Ted may not have the same source he did before, or maybe there is just nothing new to report, especially if they have edged back further into the closet for now. Myabe we'll get something new when he's done with his round of 20 questions. Oh well, at least I get to enjoy PJ tonight, one of my all time favorite bands, even if it is dedicated to that darn blanket.

"Women who seem to have no sexual preference—e.g., Jodie Foster—have kids, and nobody says anything."

I don't think this answer is so boring! It's bringing up BabyTile again with the reference to Jodie Foster. And Jodie is an interesting comparison to make with Toothy/Jake. I actually saw an article recently say "Jodie lives with a long-term female friend" - they were obviously dying to say partner, but didn't dare risk the possible legal action. They didn't even mention the children they have together.

It's true there is no new info here and I agree Ted may not be as well-informed as before. But there was something new in mid-August when Ted did say Toothy and bf were spotted together in some PDA. (I'm a bit dubious about this one but Ted is saying Toothy and bf are still together as far as he's concerned).

Do people expect a daily bulletin in case Toothy and bf break up one day?!

I think people are sometimes a bit demanding on the TT front, convinced, and I speak as a committed tb. I like to hope no news is good news.

Frenchy, Austin is so lovely in Usher, isn't he? I posted very late on the HoU thread, but I was prepared to watch the whole movie *in Polish* just to see the Austy. :)

Reason I didn't mention it.

I know you're probably sick of my posts by now, but I had to make a correction to some of the lyrics which, upon listening to again, realized that I had badly misheard them and which change the entire meaning of parts of this clever song, and we can't have that! So, please humor me for yet another posting of these lyrics. This should be the last post! lol But by being incorrect, the entire meaning and cleverness of the lyrics is lost, not to mention the great rhythym! Especially if you saved them, Frenchy! Feel free to delete the other posts, please! ;)
