I made up my mind about Jeese and I am going to accept it for what it is, if that’s the price Jake and Austin have to pay for having a ‘normal’ life together. I hope, no, I believe they still are together. I believe as well it’s their decision – under a lot of pressure - to hide their relationship, no doubt for diverse reasons.
The picture of Jake and Reese don’t mean much. There were numerous pictures of Jake and Kirsten and yet we found out later that Jake was seeing both Kirsten and Austin at the same time. Now is obviously not the time to tell the truth.
We will have to wait and I am prepared to do that.

I can not take credit for this post. Wicked thought this post up. I just went to task on the photos.
The more I look at them I realized Jake did brighten up a little, only when he didn't have to do the PDA, got to interact with the rest of the others in their group(if I were Austi Spumanti I would ask about that guy in the blue scarf) and had some distance between him and Reese.
One of the funnier pics I thought was Reese's arm around Jake and holding on to his side. Jake? Oh he has his arm around her if you if you can do that holding a ice cream spoon and water bottle in your hand.
Honestly if this is real, it's still pathetic (to borrow the trolls word) to do a 2 day photo op.
The weirdest thing about these photos is that Reese looks completely awkward because of the height difference. She can't quite reach where she wants to.
Now if you were on a first date or this was the first time you'd ever put your arms around each other, I could understand the awkwardness and not being used to each other's bodies.
But two people who are supposed to have been on and off for the best part of a year, and presumably who have supposedly been intimate?
Sorry, Jake and Reese, intimacy does not look like that.
Reese you might want to ask Jake and Austin to show you how it's supposed to look before your next photo op.

what if crazy baby tale story was sabotage into all "Jake gay" rumors from Jake's people alone to make them more unbelievable and than confirm their insanity with promotion of Jake/Reese relationship and punctuating it with JJ
statements -"there was no baby,perhaps nor gay Jake, his sources and him were wrong"
JJ gave up suspiciously quickly and with verdict in close harmony with Jake claiming he is straight
well, it doesn't exclude possibility that Jake might be NCS and really in relationship with Reese

Most elegant, as well as legally watertight.

Special & Wicked, thank God OMG is just a little café in the immensity of the Net or I'd be afraid some overzealous PR guy find these before-after shots to teach Jake how to behave convincingly enamoured with Reese. ;)
A idea that came to me while perusing the Famous Gay People post: how about keeping this as a "live" list, meaning one that can be continuously enriched?
For example I'd like to suggest adding Allen Ginsberg, directors Rainer Werner Fassbinder & Patrice Chéreau and also KD Lang. I don't think I saw them on the list. And I'm sure we'll come up with more! :) :)
Like Scylla above, the whole Rome extravegance makes me more likely to believe Babytile. I know this may be the last desperate thoughts of a lunatic, but how better to protect (for the time being) little BT away from prying eyes than when one of his father's is parading around Europe with the Reese. A few months down the line, Jake and Reese break up amicably and then he can co-adopt Austin's child and come out (okay that part may take some explaining). I'm also convinced that everyone's in on this, Reese is a very clever woman and she has as much to gain from the pr as Jake. In her defence, I think her more convincing displays of PDA are simply that she’s a bit of a better actor than Jake (sorry).

i am sure i agree... i don't think i've recovered from all those "legally blond" stuff she did. better at PDA? maybe she's just the more willing party of the two.
jake could have done better PDA with woman, he has proved that he can have amazing chemistry with women/girls on and off screen (kiki, jen aniston, the exotic actress in rendtion), despite what we think he actually prefers.
it's not his acting skills, it's whether his heart is in it to do a good job.

My position on Baby Tile has not changed: I still don't buy it. I still think that either Ted's sources were solid except that Jake and Austin were only "discussing the possibility" of having a baby together or, as some have pointed out already, that this was a plant devised to uncover Ted's sources or even the work of a disgruntled former assistant (JJ's posts come to mind in the latter case).
If we believe Jake is following his handlers' advices (or orders), it means he's decided to follow, at least for the time being, HW rules and traditional path. I can't believe he would behave like this and then come out with a baby in a few months' time. He would make Reese look totally pathetic and ridiculous and I'm sure this is not the plan their management has in mind.
On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised to read that Jeese have broken up, again, and that Jake, in true Clooney fashion, is one more time a very available young man still searching for the perfect GF... Pictures of Austin engaging in PDA with a female companion wouldn't come as a shock either.

I think we're starting to really adjust to this new phase in Jake's fandom. I still believe Jake and Austin are together too. I hope they've found a way to navigate safely in these treacherous waters.
I was checking my DVD collection the other night and was wondering how many closeted actors were actually playing in each of these films. I guess it helped put things in perspective.
I love Jake's acting and still have images from Rendition playing in my head. And I can't wait to see Austin showing up on FNL. :)

Well, those Rome/LA pics are incendiary as a wet matchbox ;)
Jake was a mess at the photocall. He was posing okay, all the usual expressions he has down to a science. But look at the original pictures closely, like at 400x to 600x, he had tons of dandruff flakes (yes, he does have that problem, but nobody's perfect) in his hair and all over his jacket (along with beard hairs). I know this because I had to retouch all of the pictures before they could be released by another entity. Retouching Jake has always been just little stuff, but I was totally shocked at what I saw in the Rome series. I don't know about the Jeese story, but if she really cared about him why would she let him go out there and pose for pictures looking like that? And why didn't his handler or assistant or anyone in his crew make sure he was presentable?
Another thing that no one has said anything about (here or anywhere) is that his teeth have been getting yellower. His canines have always been a different shade. But again, look at the photocall and especially at the red carpet pictures, all of his teeth are extremely yellow, much more than a few montha ago. Whether he's smoking, not brushing/whitening, doing drugs, I have no idea. But whatever the reason, it looks like he's going thru something, like a depression. I feel sorry for the guy.

Lol frenchy. I think the piggyback ride was so people could say "see, he did that with Kiki" so you may be right. You know the vibe is different, but actually seeing the pictures side by side the difference is even greater than I realized.

Me again. Since I have a very large collection of pictures that I look at every day, I can tell you that I think Jeese is a performance, 100%. You know why? In all of his onscreen kisses Jake tilts his head towards the right. In the pap pictures of him and Kirsten Dunst and the Jennifer Anniston GLAD kissing pictures, he turns towards the left. Which is the opposite of how the majority of people tilt, but there's always the minority, and Jake's in it. Guess which way he's tilting his head in the LAX pictures? You got it -- "performance mode."
And when both are wearing sunglasses, I call it as more like a peck on the lips. A toothpick in the mouth and a kiss on the forehead is more like "thanks for being my friend, I appreciate it."

Were the pictures of Jeese walking around Rome taken before or after the photocall? The showmance was in the afternoon and the photocall was that evening, right?
Let's not also forget the most important Jake factor. He isn't mirroring her which he always does with people he likes.
The thing I find most amusing is that trolls/fangurls everywhere used to say that Jake looked at everyone like he looked at Austin at Lakers 1. We can't even offer that up as an excuse because he isn't even looking at Reese like that.

After reading Virgin's posts I went over to IHJ to look at the pictures of the Rome photocall and noticed they had some photos from the airport that I hadn't seen before. I just don't understand how anyone can look at those and not think it was a set up - it's so blatant!
If that's true Wicked about the order of the photos that's just unbelieveable! And also really sad.
I thought the same thing about the mirroring AG, he does do that a lot with people he really likes.
Virgin, you have a very keen eye. Do you think he actually has a bit of a tummy in the recent pics? Or is this some kind of money pouch he's carrying?
Jake has always had a bit of a tummy, you can see it even in the hotel pool pictures taken of him and Kirsten back in 2004 or 2005. I think it's just one of those things that really can't be changed uless he goes the surgery route. He hides it by wearing shirts hanging on the outside, and loose casual pants and shorts and well-fitting slacks. Bicycle shorts help pull everything in because they're so tight, too. You can tell by his thighs when he gains weight, it settles there more than anywhere else.
I'm interested to hear what people think about the kissing tilts, I see it as a dead giveaway, the "tell" to use a Poker term. Jake has a lot of tells.

Wicked, yes, the the Rome walking photos were done on Friday and Saturday during the day. The premiere/red carpet was Sunday night (the entire Rendition party left the auditorium right after the film started). I'm not sure about the photocall, it was either Saturday or sunday but either way it was after the Jeese pictures. And then they left Rome immediately on Monday and landed at LAX.

Thanks Idea. I just see things a lot of people don't. And having to retouch photos, you tend to notice everything, all the little differences. It just got to me, how Jake has been looking.

Italy to Launch Ad Campaign Against Homophobia
A picture of a newborn baby wearing a wristband reading "Homosexual" will go up soon on billboards across the Tuscan region of Italy. It is part of a new campaign by the regional government to end homophobia.
According to a report from Reuters, conservative politicians and Vatican officials have expressed disapproval of the image, which has already run in some area newspapers. The campaign has received mixed reviews from within the LGBT community as well, with some saying the image implies that gays are a different species. Others have praised the message.
"I'm very much in favor of the advertisement because it expresses a concept that I've been convinced of for some time -- that homosexuality is not a choice," Italian gay lawmaker Franco Grillini told Reuters.
The campaign was developed by the Canadian foundation Emergence and has been used previously in Quebec. (The Advocate)

The pic that Sass links does throw me. It's an intimate pose. It just is! I've been rolling my eyes and laughing at these rumors ever since they started, but I'm just not sure anymore. Those pictures with Jake's hand in her hair at the back of her neck--that's another couple-y posture. If it's fake, they don't need our coaching.

or there is another simple explanation for his bad non appropriate facial expression, he was still bit/much jet lagged for promenading around Rome
just the question is what time they arrived,
if they traveled from LA in the evening and came to Rome next morning it's an option

11:50, if I am walking around in Rome with my lover I might be jet lagged as hell, but I would certainly look cheerful. I might sport a tired expression, but for entirely different reasons than jetlag ;-)

And to answer your question, Question. I went over to IHJ to find examples. Check out the Rome photocall pictures #077, 078, 080 on page 4, in the full size versions 1200 x 1744. I don't know what pictures you looked at but the 3 I just listed (esp #078) are perfect samples of what I was talking about.
Wicked I'll have to think about it, since I'd really like to keep my anonyminity. But it's easy, just look at film caps, compare them with real life shots. You'll see the difference.
Oh I think know why their body language looks so awkward -- Reese is obviously totally freaked out by Jake's dandruff.

Have we become so used to seeing abnormally and unnaturally white teeth on celebs that we don't recognize ordinary teeth on a person?
His teeth look like regular person teeth. They aren't overtly yellow. And let's face it, not too many people have natural blindingly white teeth. You have to pay big bucks for that.
Plus, he drinks coffee.

Jake looked genuinely happier on the red carpet when he mingled, then it seemed like it was back to business at LAX.

Yawn, it's not about dandruff. It's about how he looked so unkempt at the Rome photocall. I've never seen that happen to him before. As for the reason, I don't know.
I don't think his teeth are that yellow. People do NOT have snow white teeth ever seen those samples at the dentist office? Yes Jake drinks coffee that 's probably all there is too it. And he has dandruff, which he probably had one week earlier, one month erlier, one year earlier too... what is the point being made, again?
I think people can get caught up in the different pictures and what they mean but you also have to remember that these people are actors who do love scenes with other people on a regular basis. And often far more involved scene wise than these.
They can just feel like they are at work excepting that they are on location instead of on a set.
Forget about Toothy, forget about Austin. Just concentrate on Reeke.
They don't lean into each other with all their bodies, he seems to always have his arm in the way. This is a guy who is very affectionate yet I can name 10 people he has looked far more affectionate with in public before. And that's not even counting Austin.
In fact Austin and Jennifer Esposito on their first (and only) date looked more comfortable then these two.
If I was a Jeese fan, I'd be hoping this was staged because if this is meant to be a real relationship, it must be a pretty sad one.

I don't get the Rome Reeke pictures. Remember how the tabloids and "close friends" said that Jake was pushing for the relationship and how Reese was the reluctant one? If it was true, you'd think in the Rome pics he'd be all smiling and happy and proud, "Here's my girl!" But instead he looks sad, not into it at all. And she looks like she's putting on a show. Weird.

Actually I cannot think of anything more sad than Jake and Austin at the moment. Going this length to protect themselves... This is sad. Ag, who gives a care about Jeese fans?
I know this is a Austin/Jake blog but I always thought he was closer to Chris. He spends a lot of time with Chris in LA, they spent all summer together in Marthas Vinyard, Chris went with him to Toronto where he was Jake's guest (date?) at most of the functions. Then they travelled together to NY. Im new here, so I don't know, is there a triangle between Austin, Jake and Chris?
Maroon Chris is his best friend whom he has known since he was a child.
He is also a safe male to be seen with.
I also think he's gone to a few recent things with Jake and Reese to make Reeke seem more real.
What's sad, if Jake and Austin are hiding their real relationship, it is sad.
But it won't be the first couple hiding and it won't be the last.
I'd rather have a hidden passionate affair then a public boring older sister/younger brother one.
I guess I'm just saying to the Jeese fans that if you have to 'sell it' there isn't anything there in the first place. Kind of like someone who points out they are cool actually isn't.
I think the general awkwardness / unhappiness of the rome pictures is why most people are not buying this.
Okay, they may be jet-lagged and tired, well just retire to the ruddy hotel and chill;
they're bothered by the paps / crowds, again go back to the hotel and chill out, or maybe stop hanging around the main tourist attractions (Rome's a very big city with lots of very beautiful hiiden away places which I'm sure the guide in the baby blue pashmina must have known about);
It all looks so forced, the only time either of them looks like they're actually enjoying themselves is when they're with the group (hairdresser / pr consultant etc).
How people can go crazy over how in love these to look amazes me. These pictures just don't look like two people in the first flush of love, in one of the most romantic cities in the world. They just don't look that into each other (neck touching or not).
People should check out Jake Watch's take on the Rome photos, its quite funny.
I am convinced the Rome Reeke is a reaction to Ted’s outing column last week. I am sure Ted has pictures of the NY Jaustin sighting and this is the reason why he named them and not made a BI. It’s just too coincidental that just a few days after that column, two so-called private people are doing this circus. I think Jake is tense in the pictures because his actions come from fear and stress.
idea, if it does come from fear and stress (which I agree is probably correct), it is just so, so sad. You just have to feel really sorry for the guy. You'd also have to question the people that advise him, because this sort of charade is fooling no-one, makes him look ridiuclous, doesn't gain him any additional fans and alienates at lot of people who actually like him and pay good money to see his films.
Maybe his pr team should start actually earning their money and work out some good strategies to allow a very talented actor to come out and remain successful. Pushing this crap on an ever more cynical crowd is just an insult.
Helena, I think the problem is they think the gay rumours are hurting his career, because he tried the ambiguous route for a really long time but people did not turn out in mass. If they did it would have clearly been ok for him to remain ambiguous and perhaps move closer to coming out. But it didn't happen that way. This is panic mode regression into the closet. If Jake and Austin are real that is. HW has no example of leading actor out of the closet, Jake could be, but I guess the recent flops are not making it possible.
I don't know how to quantify is gay-friendly fanbase. It sure was unable to kick up the numbers for Rendition and Zodiac.
