The Fifty Greatest Gay Movies!
It's a multi part series from HBO and runs about 6 or 8 hours, but I've always felt that Angels in America was fabulous and a must see. It would require a big investment of time for everyone to watch. I am assuming it's available for rental. It covers many issues. McCarthyism, Aids, Mormons, closeted gays, treason, you name it. That's my suggestion, anyway.
Thinking more about Truth Lies and Ted. Between OMG, WFT2, Babble etc, there is not a word mentioned about Jake that we don't hear about. Who the hell was talking about Jake's days at Columbia recently? I also am stumped by the reference to Aaron Eckhart. They were both mentioned for the Harvey Dent role, but otherwise I dont see an obvious connection to Jake. Not sure what Ted is getting at there. I'm sure some of the sleuths will figure it out for me.
OT, but this is a great story- football running back Warrick Dunn's account of meeting his mother's killer.
Aaron and Jake
1) Both have Old Testament names
2) Both have piercing blue eyes
3) Both have dimples (although Aaron's most prominent is in his chin)
4) Both are 6 feet tall
5) Both were up for Harvey Dent

Oh Possession. That could be another movie to suggest.

I think it's Jake being rumored for the Harvey Dent role, plus the fact Maggie and Heath were in the movie with Aaron.
I'm a little puzzled over Ted's latest just because it doesn't seem all that interesting. Maybe it's just Ted's way of saying Jake is turning into someone no one likes. It's also not the first time someone who supposedly went to Columbia with Jake has made noise, I remember there was a real nasty one on Gawker a year or so back.
Regarding movies, I'll bring up the one I always bring up, The Dying Gaul. Angels would be interesting, but we'd need to spread that over time.

Any and all of those films would be great, I'm interested in The Dying Gaul too, and I haven't seen Angels in America, would love to see it. I'll watch and discuss pretty much anything. I'd pretty much watch Austin in anything too.
I think Ted is talking about the TDK connection too, with Aaron and Jake.

Aaron E like Jake also has a 'fuzzy' love life history with women if you know what I mean. AE was revealed a kindness blind at El lawyer site in July. 2006 Toronto filmfest was a big thing professionally for both Jake and AE. Both Jake and AE are nice to paps and public but very private. I think they both know how the game is played. Also both handle themselves pretty well. You never hear about either going out to clubs, partying, drugs, fights, throwing phones etc. AE and Jake are alot like NPH except NPH is more TV work and has come out. The 3 of them look alot alike I think, in style choices, face and posture. They probably have the same stylist/designer/dermatologist/plastic surgeon/trainer in there somewhere.
I liked The Family Stone. Mixed-race hearing-impaired gay couple uncoditionally loved by their family. Uplifting gay story for a change. LOL

This song is definitely one of my faves of this year. The rest of the record (called Do It!) is not as good as this song, unfortunately. There are some good tracks on it, though.

Not sure why people bother analyzing all Ted speak. I thought it was pretty well established knowledge who TT is.
Because it's fun and sometimes a bit of a challenge.

I enjoy analyzing Ted speak - I'm not very good at guessing the meaning as I really only follow Jake (and Heath), no other stars. But I love the wordsmithing, and the creativity Ted displays by telling so much with the fewest of words. That's half the fun of the Toothy saga for me.
One more movie suggestion. Milk. It's on my must see list. If everyone else plans to see it, we could discuss a current movie.
