The tale of twosome on two wheels, that's what. And it looks like it has been hitting all over in various version of spinning.
But is it Spin City or the Mystery Machine?
The a rider on the knoll? A third wheel? Or just another rider that's been passed?
But the bigger mystery is the Man of Mystery himself - Austin.
In the first set of pictures we saw yesterday we see Austin with long spandex under a pair of short spandex shorts. And both he and Jake had long sleeve bike jersey's under short sleeve ones.
In the newest pictures, both are just wearing short sleeve jerseys and Austin in short spandex bike shorts.
Now you can see how you could peel off the shirts on a roadside stop along the way, but pants, now that's a magic trick, because that's a strip all the way down to what to what the good Lord gave you (while debated - the majority of cyclist do not wear anything under their cycle shorts, it defeats the purpose of the padding in the shorts, and yes there are forums about it) including your shoes to peel off the the long spandex and redress.
While Austin has no problem baring it on screen or in cars, you'd think the spandex striptease would be more of a show stopper or the show itself and you'd never get back on the bike.
And where are those long spandex and Jake and Austin's long shirts. And who would add a layer during a workout if you are heating up? And even then the longer would go over the shorter.
And quick eyes in the comment had thought along similar lines. (Thanks "Austin loses his pants") Another thing "Austin loses his pants", a self described LA native pointed out would be the haze in the new pictures. And those from LA understand haze. And that the biking pictures are sets from two different days. To quote them:
Now do they want everyone to think that they were all taken on the same day?
"Austin loses his pants" thinks "someone wants it to look like this was 1 bike outing when it was really 2. You know, a casual monthly get together when Reese is too busy to be with Jake, not a regular 3x/week routine that Jake and Austin have."
It seems like it is a more a weekly routine. But another thought is if the pictures were taken last week and released on Monday, maybe they wanted people to know they were together on Easter like Stubborn TB suggested BUT maybe not where they where. Maybe they want us to think they were in LA but maybe the weren't in LA at all, but all together somewhere else. Kind of super "double secret" (name that movie) cover for them. You gotta wonder from Secret Squirrel and Morocco Mole.
But what do you think?
One thing I do know there is only person who makes Jake smile like this.

That photoshopped Jaustin is great. People are really talented with that thing. It does look like there's a 3rd person along, but wonder who it is. I don't have time to really study the new pictures nor do I have time yet to really enjoy your post, Special, but I will when I get home.
I think it's great that we had these pictures yesterday. I think it's to be expected to have some who want to throw a wrench in things and of course, try to squash any uplifting of Austin (heaven forbid) or question the whys, heretofores, and whats. There's some ugliness giong around, not necessarily here, but it's disheartening. Because I've got to say this.
I am not a rose-colored glass person 100% like Special is, thank heavens for people like her because people like her lift us up, they don't bring us down. She is the kind of friend that you want by your side through thick & thin. This person is going to encourage you to reach for that rainbow. They're going to give you that positive edge you need to help you do what maybe you thought you couldn't do. And no, they're not the One who ultimately enables us to do it, but with people like that at your side, how can you go wrong.
And you guys know me. I can let it fling with my mouth as well as anyone. But I'm going to enjoy this. After all, this is a Jake & Austin website, is it not. And if I can't even enjoy new pictures of Jake and Austin together after 2 stinking years of absolute nothing, then I'm a really sad person. I'm a sad person not only on here, but in real life.
And I think at this point, you have to ask yourself, am I like this in real life? I am a believer that what you bring to this blog is alot of times how you are in real life; it can't help but seep in. And I gotta wonder that if someone smiles at you, do you ask "Hmm, wonder what that smile is all about? Is there something else going on there? Doesn't quite seem like an honest smile to me." If someone hands you a gift, is that gift rejected? Is it pondered over, suspiciously? Heck no!! So why is that brought to this table regarding absolutely everything about Jake? I don't want to be that kind of person on here, with my family, friends, or with my co workers.
And yeah, all things will be revealed in time. And if there is anything shady about what these 2 guys are doing, you know me. I'll let it fly. But for right now, I'm an innocent and I'm going to just plain be stinking, goshawful happy about it. Forgive me. But it's nice to be happy about something regarding Jake.
So, there it is. I really am not applying this here for most of us. Seems for the most part, it's mostly been enjoyment and that's great. I don't mean to offend; but it'd be worth it if maybe someone sees this and might just ask themself if this is how they're going through everything in their life? Unable to take something at face value, trusting. And if it comes to pass later that it's not true, then deal with it.
What a very pleasant surprise to come home to. Both Jake and Austin look great in these pics, particularly liking Austin's new facial hair, and Jake's lack of. There's no reason that the paps would lie about it if it was in Brentwood (and more importantly in front of the gated community) because they can make more money from the pics if they mention Reese being somewhere nearby.
The person posting that on JJ is probably the same one that went around saying that the last set of pics where photoshopped and J & A weren't actually out biking together.

It was a such experience, still today I can't properly explain with words my feelings.

No doubt in my mind that Jake and Austin see each other all the time, unless separated by work, but are not necessarily photographed.
On another topic, TMZ has video of Matilda being carried on a guys shoulders where she waves at the photographer. What is so cute about it is that the audio portion catches the pap cooing as she waves to him, he is so overcome by how sweet the gesture is. Heartwarming.

Voter registration isn't the only source pool potential jurors are culled from. I always thought it was, until me and 4 neighbors got summoned in within 2-4 weeks of each other and 3 of them weren't even US citizens (2 Canadians and 1 UK'er, all here on green cards) and don't vote here. So jury duty pools are also being gathered by address blocks, at least in Southern California. All of us were living alone so I don't know if people in the same household would be summoned at the same time but I wouldn't be surprised. :)
I think they are living their lives regardless, and as others have said it is not just bike riding that is the only thing to do together. It is just one little thing. And I wonder if its was to say - Austin's back from work and yeah, we're together.
No matter it is just great to see them happy and looking so good together. I just love the coordinating outfits thing.

Jury block party, how jury pools are called is up to each jurisdiction. Many places use voter registration. But they can also use things like motor vehicle records and public benefits records too. It's really common for members of the same household to be summoned within weeks of each other. The Mrs gets summoned first and I know within a few weeks I'll get my notice.
Btw gated communities are a dime a dozen in SoCal. Person on JJ probably thinks Brentwood and Chinormica's house is the only one. Also Brentwood and Santa Monica are not 2 cities a pap would get mixed up, lol.
Hi everyone. I missed getting on here today because I spent my lunch hour showing my lil buddy pictures on my laptop from my great DC trip. Wicked, I have my pics downloaded now so I will be able to email you the ones of the 3 of us together and the one of you & Destiny. They all came out really good, but the one of you & Destiny is really great because there's some cherry blossoms in view.
I'll be thankful tonight when I will get a chance to see the rest of the pictures of the boys.

Just popping in for a minute, crazy day at work. I wondered about the jury duty coincidence and how they do it in L.A. I never get called at the same time as my girlfriend, not even in the same year.
I have some thought on J&A but they'll have to wait until tonight.
Was listening to the BBMt soundtrack on the drive in to work today, after not hearing it for awhile, and it made me think of our discussion.
I remember being stunned at first, couldn't move from my seat. After that wore off, I was heartbroken and devasted that two people who loved each other couldn't be together and happy. I've always been a civil rights advocate, for a lot of unjustices, but this just made it that much more for me. I didn't feel I needed resolution for it through J&A, I just thought it was very lovely when I read about it, and maybe it was a bit of life imitating art, but that was all. Any resolution came with time and fanfic. :)
It was Heath's rugged embodiment of a working cowboy that knocked me out on first viewing, and his acting was superb, as I knew it would be. I had only seen him in Monster's Ball before that, and briefly in The Patriot. Jake's good looks grew on me with time. It was his acting that blew me away on first viewing - just reached into my heart and grabbed it, and still won't let go.
I saved my ticket stub also; I have it tucked into my BBMt soundtrack CD - 01/01/06 was the date. It seems to be fading a bit, any suggestions as to how I can preserve it? :)
Could it be possible that Jake is renting/leasing a place in this gated community? It makes it seem as if he and Reese are living together would be a great place to keep a kid hidden away.

Apparently Austin has signed on for season 7 of OTH, so more Brulian to enjoy. It may not be the best piece of television going but its certainly raising his profile and bringing him lots of new fans, as well as providing plenty of lovely pics for us (well me) to droll over, so not a bad thing really. Hopefully he'll be able to pick up some interesting side projects along the way.

There are some funky things going on with the newest pictures. He is wear his dark black bike sock with sandals in some pictures, then he's got his tennis shoes on and carrying his sandals, with his bike short (turned inside out) in his hand.
The only funky thing is the matching livestrong shorts he is carrying(They match his grey and yellow Livestrong hoodie). Don't know if they are bike shorts. The caption says he went into the gym with the slip flps and socks and came out with the sneakers, good thing. Only old fsrts wear sock and flip flops.

Not only old farts but Asians too. My Asian gf says when she wears flip flops and socks it looks fine, even normal, but if I did it (I'm a whitey) I would look like an idiot. One night we were going to Walmart and I was in sandals and my feet were cold and I wanted to put on socks before we went in and we had a little fight in the parking lot over it. This is when I heard from her that only Asians can wear socks with flip flops. She said if I did she wouldn't go in the store with me. She makes me carry an extra pair of tennis shoes and socks in the trunk now.
Back to Jake. Wait, they said in the caption he arrived at the gym in socks and flip flops? So that's how he drove there?! Bwhahahaha....
That sounds great news that Austin is coming back to OTH. It's always a good sign if you're asked back, I would think. Must mean that fan reaction was good.

Although I would say I have seen this look alot on recreational softball players. Little Dog & Abby's mom used to play in a rec league and we used to go watch every week. They wear these athletic flip flips from the house to the ballpark, then change into their playing shoes when they get there. Me? I wear junky sneakers to my park and then before my walk, change into my walking shoes. This is because walking shoes will last no more than about 3 months and then you've got to get a new pair if you walk pretty often. If you go wearing your workout shoes to other places, you're going to wear them out even faster. And at 50-70 bucks a pop, I'm not in a hurry to be replacing my shoes all the time.
Then, after you work out, too, your socks are all sweaty, just like everything else you have on. Everything comes off unless it's 40 degrees or less outside. Fresh dry socks replacing the gross ones. And they always come off all twisted inside out & curled up, lol.
What you can't tell is if he's wearing the flip flops into the gym and the sneakers from the gym. Or vice versa. Gee, most people carry a gym bag. Mine's crammed with every type of clothing for most possible changes in weather.
What's always kind of struck me as different with Jake is his workout clothes always look brand new, right out of the packaging. That Livestrong hoodie looks like it even smells new. Most people's workout wear is going to be some of their most faded, but wash-worn softest stuff. I have lots of sweatshirts, but I have been walking in the same grey Harry Carey sweatshirt that I've had for about 10 yrs. But I guess when the cameras are on & you're going to be on the blogs, it's best not to wear that faded tank with the bleach stains and big hole under the arm.
My favorite so far was the black biking outfit from that last biking pic set. Those were some sharp biking clothes. Jake's legs show that he's regularly working out. And thank goodness, it's not that overmuscled look that he came back from London with.

Really? I am Asian-American, and I don't know a single soul who wears socks with flip-flops, in my community, or anyone I know who is "Asian". That's a broad area and category to cover - which country do you mean? Or do you mean you don't differentiate between each individual country?
Best friend does the socks with the sandals in and out of the gym for work outs, so the sneakers are just in the gym. That's not to say I don't give her grief, but hey that's what best friends do. : )
Think the best socks and sandal story was a former boss who under her wedding dress was wearing Berkinstocks with socks for her October wedding, and told me "if I have to stand for the whole service and the receiving line I'm going to be comfortable." She kidded and said she was going to put some fancy clips on them. Before you ask she bought herself a new pair for the wedding.
That's great news about OTH. I have to say the show has grown on me, and I've been so spoiled not only seeing him on the show, but all the fan pix too.
I hadn't noticed that about the workout clothes always looking new, but you're right PG. And yet he seems to always wear the same old clothes walking about, including those jeans. Kind of funny.
lol, Special. And of course, I think of my nephew who wears socks with his sandals, I'm sure out of some kind of unease of the sandals rubbing his bare feet. He always looks so cute with his little stick legs and then the white socks and children's character sandals.
Birkenstocks. Now, one can wear socks with Birkenstocks. That's about the only kind of sandal/shoe that socks look somewhat respectable in, lol.
This subject is killin' me. It's hard not to laugh. And I do see OMG's resident expert on the sandal/sock look, miss Destiny. Destiny, take it away! lol
I really, really did not see Frostbite's comment as the least bit bigoted. It wasn't said in meanspirit at all, at least I didn't see that. You know, I, myself, am Mexican American. And while I don't care to be called a name (except for Beaner - Little Dog's mom calls my sister & I beaners & "you Latino's" but with her, it is said all in jest and really, it's a running joke with us & no offense taken), I have no problem with comedians or when other friends/family & myself get together and talk about "common characteristics".
I am one of the worst about picking on some of the common things I notice about my people. My family has a good laugh once in awhile at the dinner table about it.
And there is meanspirited ethnic teasing and then there's just other kinds and I don't know how to explain it. In this day & age, it's so hard anymore to even talk about ethnicity & cultural differences anymore.

I know! His workout clothes always look brand new. Maybe Lance A. keeps UPS'ing him the latest samples from his line of sportswear for him to use for pap pictures. Free publicity & all that. Maybe Jake gets a fee, a la Tiger Woods. Or maybe it's just really comfortable, moisture-wicking stuff. I tell you, I am sold on this moisture-wicking fabric. It feels so nice. I don't have too many pieces of it as it's a little more expensive, but it is nice. Hoodies aren't moisture wicking, tho. But brand new hoodies are especially soft on the inside before they've been washed.
There's another deal with some people. I went out with a guy who said he had to wash all his brand new clothes before wearing them. I guess because of the chemicals maybe on them? I don't have a problem wearing them right off the hanger, but he did.
Funny attire quirks all of us have.
Okay, well, time to hit the hay. Tomorrow at work we are having taco salads for lunch, woohoooo! Mexican food theme is always a success in our office.

seaweed, sorry to burst your bubble but looks like those were not undershirts but simply arm warmers. Austin has coordinated leg warmers as well.
spluff.. who says following toothy is anything but educational. I never knew that such things as arm and leg warmers existed, fairly good concept really when you think about it. Nice that they coordinated isn't it, love the whole matching helmets and accessories thing here, and would usually would find it a bit sick making.
'spluff!' yea those could be arm/leg warmers but in Southern California'a 65F degree morning temps and it takes 5-10 minutes to warm up on a bike?! Doubtful. I'm a bicyclist in So Cal and with the tight spandex, gloves and helmet after 10 minutes of pedaling it's all good and warm. No stupid arm warmers or knee warmers needed, those things are made for extreme cold conditions. Of course it's always possible J&A were wearing them because they're fashion victims or a couple of wussies.
Hey baby blankets, no-one calls Austin a wuss on my watch. Remember, they're 'actors' so are by definition more delicate and sensitive than us mere mortals.

Jake: Hey where did you put yours? My underseat bag is full with my phone and SPF 60 lip gloss protector and sunblock. Can I put my arm protectors in your bag?
Austin: No my bag is full.
Jake (teary-eyed): If you don't let me put my arm warmers in your bag then I'll, I'll withhold sex from you today.
Austin: Okay okay I'll stuff your warmers down my shorts.
*10 minutes later back in their garage*
Jake: Ya know I really like those warmers. They get us all hot and bothered before we've even left the neighborhood.
