Austin Catch-up

In case you didn't get a chance to listen to Austin's podcast here are a few things you might have missed:

Austin said when he was playing Julian it was all Austin, he was more himself, then any other role he's played.

From the conversation, was far from his favorite project he's done.

David Milch encouraged him to write, so he would write scenes for John, and seal them in envelops and give them to Milch.

He has a writing partner, Ivan Shaw.

The two are writing a screenplay about a dark side of a 1980's game show host.

Austin's got the hair, and the corduroy suit, just grow out the 'stache.

Earlier in the week Austin tweeted about another new project:

 Thomas Ikimi wrote and directed this new film. NOSTRADAMUS. It is a great movie with a killer twist. Can't wait for you to see it. - AUS10

Not much known about the movie yet.  A few things,  the short was written and directed by Thomas Ikimi.  Ikimi was wrote, directed and edited the TV mini-series available for pick up earlier this year, The Temp that starred Austin.  Agent of Shield co-star Chloe is in Nostradamus. (It will be interesting to see if pictures from early this summer were actually from the project )

Let's talk numbers first:

Prisoners took the US box office this past weekend, making 21.4 million.
September is a good month for Jake.  EoW opened at #1 last September domestically.

 And Austin tweeted some great numbers

RAY DONOVAN ended its season ranked as the highest-rated freshman series in SHOWTIME history, outpacing Homeland season one by 33%. -AUS10

And while Austin gets love for Julian

 But Jake wasn't phoning it in all day - he showed up at the Apple Store on Regent Street in London with Hugh and Denis for a meet and great/chat with fans about Prisoners. (Then again it may have been to get his hands on one of those new sold out Iphones : D)

.... pulls you back in

The Crazy Tree might be over, but crazy hasn't finished just yet.

While Brulian is long gone, it has popped up on TV’s Top 50 Love Stories of the Past Decade put together by BuddyTV right at the middle at #25.

My fingers numb you can stop squeezing now.

Fans always knew it would take a monumental, cinematic-level of romance to sweep damaged rich girl Brooke Davis off her feet. Enter film director Julian whose persistence and devilish smile gave Brooke the happy ending her movie deserved.  

 Well the one thing we all can agree on was Julian's devilish grin and still agree on Austin's amazing smile.

Everyone imitates Julia Child as some point when you're cooking, just saying Bon Appetite, or having another bottle of wine.

And as much as Jake as penchant for doing voice of slight sloshed ladies, almost as tall as dear Julia,  you know he's got his own imitation of her when he's whipping something up.

And he could even pull off the outfit.

He has the shirt,

shown he can rock the fakeout skirt.

And can handle a turkey

 The accessories he's own his own.  ; )
