A couple of weeks ago OMG was on the road and posting from multiple locations.

After a visit to the prairie to see family and friends - Hello PG!

OMG went on with an impromptu Westward Ho!

The best part of the blog is meeting the people who come here.  It has been wonderful to meet so many great friends in person. I really hope I can meet more of you.

Matthew had been Jake's assistant for four of his earliest movies ( Donnie Darko, Moonlight Mile , Bubble Boy and TDAT) and it looks like that is how Austin first met his now friend of over a decade.

Yup a decade, friends with the pair for over a decade and that's no Croc.

Fashionating Friends

Besides coffee and smoothies, Jake's catching up with friends while in NY, and getting a little fashion on.

Jake was out Sunday night at the NY Film Festival for the premiere of Descandents with friend designer Sophie Buhai.Jake's known Sophie since they were kids. She grew up across the street from the G's in LA and Maggie has worn her clothing collection, she co-designs with Lisa Mayock,Vena Cava.

Also earlier in the week, Jake was seen hanging with a friend in Tribeca, handy dandy backpack in tow. And then it was off to grab a cab, doesn't look like he got a chance to grab some of those ties that were 3 for $10 in the background.

Jake was tweeted being seen shopping in a menswear store over the weekend and looks like he grabbed something new, a shirt/jacket two for one he's now sporting.
Is it the newest piece to the everyday Jake in the City uniform?

He wore the heck out of the chambray in Source Code, and it's now become the on point trend for guys in 2011.
What will be the next thing he will wear into the next trend? The shirt, the pants, the backpack?

Now could he pull off the challenge of big rubba boots like the tall Texan and make them a trend? Even if he might not, he still needs them for today's rainy day in the city.

Now, there is one way everyone can do more than just be fashionable tomorrow.

Go Purple.

Grab a purple shirt, tie, top, sweater, or scarf and join Spirit Day, tomorrow Oct 20th, to show support for LGBT youth and others who have been bullied.

Signs of the End?

Some would debate which is the signs its the end.

For some it's Jake in Austin.


Others its him at the Lakers with Chris and friends and he's smiling. And it that a b -e - ...beer, its a beer. So much better than Lakers with a bea...



Or it could be he was seen out at the Troubadour enjoying Mumford & Sons. How dare he!

(Why do people fear the banjo so much? Ohhhh)

To some it's the small earthquake in Chicago early this morning.
Or maybe Snowpocalypse 2: The Weathermen Cometh.But of course this would nothing to do with tiny dancer and squinty doing a photo shoot together as part of Oscar winners.

But then....when beards collide.

Hello Stranger.....

Good to see you. It's been a long time.

Still trying to figure out if Austin had boots on in OTH, but know Jake had the Spurs last night.



Jake was back courtside and hanging long time friend Chris to catch the Lakers take on the San Antonio Spurs at the Staples Center. Jake also gave a shout out to Mellow Johnny's in Austin, TX, Lance Armstrong's cycle shop.



Great to see friends hanging out and having fun again.





You know its like those couple of years with that blonde just didn't happen. Kind of like what happen that TV show about that other city in Texas....

Buddies

I miss seeing Jake with Chris. Chris seems to be such a good guy, and he's someone Jake has had in his life for a long time. I like that Jake has a regular guy for a close friend. We haven't seen Chris with Jake since they attended the U. S. Open together in September. Maybe they both got tired of people making snarky comments online whenever pictures of them together were published and decided make their get-togethers more private. I would imagine it would get wearing on you to be a close friend of a celebrity who is as hounded by paparazzi as Jake is. And Jake might have felt bad about some of the publicity and attention that Chris was getting as a result of his friendship. I hope they are still friends. I think they are, even though we have not seen them together. Here are some pics of Jake and Chris together, on both coasts, from 2007.
