Still trying to figure out if Austin had boots on in OTH, but know Jake had the Spurs last night.
Jake was back courtside and hanging long time friend Chris to catch the Lakers take on the San Antonio Spurs at the Staples Center. Jake also gave a shout out to Mellow Johnny's in Austin, TX, Lance Armstrong's cycle shop.
Great to see friends hanging out and having fun again.
You know its like those couple of years with that blonde just didn't happen. Kind of like what happen that TV show about that other city in Texas....

Well the next couple days should be fun. Another foot or two on the way. Noreaster combined with another storm with blizzard conditions. This should be good.

We are getting a piece of this new storm too. Noon forecast said we are looking at getting a foot here tomorrow. Nothing like you guys in PA and DC but we've had those kinds of winters.

My sympathies out to you all on the east coast. Special, what you guys are about to get must be the big storm that just dodged us. I still can't believe we dodged that bullet. On Sunday, they were saying we could get 8+ inches, even more in some areas. And we were lucky if we got one inch. Thankfully, the roads dried out last night before the deep freeze really hit.

Chris has his own life. He has a farm in MV now, away from the paps. The only reason you saw him so much was because he lived in NY then followed Jake to L.A. after he quit his job.

Austin could have been in Mongolia over the weekend for all we know. There is no proof he was in TX over the weekend, or NC, NY, or L.A. all the approved places that he is allowed to go, God forbid if he was in Iowa!

And funny how Jake didn't make any trips to Texas to see his good friend David while Reeking either. And where are all those Reeke pictures together with Chris during all their supposed visits together to MV?
With rare exception, like that flurry last spring when Jake was looking like crap, it has been all Reeke and not much of anything else for the two years of post-Rome Reeking.
They completely burned down Jake's old image to the ground, and almost destroyed his fandom in the process. But I guess once they'd signed that bearding contract, they couldn't change the terms.

Austin celebrity news marched across two fronts this week. Via “The Late Show with David Letterman,” we not only caught up with Austin resident and Oscar Best Actress nominee Sandra Bullock and Super Bowl winner and former Westlake High School quarterback Drew Brees, we had our suspicions confirmed that Brooklyn Decker, bride of Austin tennis ace Andy Roddick, would adorn the cover of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue, wearing little more than hands over her breasts.
On the streets of our fair town, our spotters spied Jake Gyllenhaal at Enoteca, Home Slice, the trail around Lady Bird Lake and Lance Armstrong’s Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop. He was in town to celebrate filmmaker David Modigliani’s 30th birthday.
Eyed at Uchi were Molly Sims and Matthew McConaughey (separately).
Over at Iron Works Barbecue was celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. “He went back for seconds on the beef ribs,” said Roland Cantu. “His wife loved the chicken.”

Ah poor fan ghouls. Can't explain why David who they now hate went to the Baftas with Jake in '06 and was stitting next to him when he won. Of course Jake had to pass him off as a PA so CAA could pay for his flight, etc (would explain why he is seen carrying an umbrella for him)but that's what Jake does with Chris (The Oscars, TFF, etc) I guess Chris traveled more with Jake because he was based in NY unlike David who moved to TX several years ago. Not too many paps wandering TX last I heard.

I'm with Special. What's the big deal with Jake having a good time at the game with Chris and this guy? I think it's awesome. We've been waiting for pictures like these for 2 1/2 years.
Jake shows some possible signs of jet lag with his disinterest in alot of the pictures and his slouch (sit up straight, Jake! lol) but other than that, he looks like he's having a nice time with the guys.

I don't think Jake went to Texas just for David's birthday party; I do think he probably went and had a good time, but used it as cover for being in Austin to visit Austin's family. We have no evidence Chris was there. And I do think Jake was probably there all week, with those gas pump pictures being passed off with the wrong dates to make us think he was in LA until the weekend.

Firefox 3.6 does have some glitches to it, I did have a tab jump into a separate window a few times, and have noticed that if your mouse hovers too long over things they will open up on their own without clicking. Send them some feedback at Mozilla they are always looking for comments so they can work on stuff for the next versions.
I don't know why you think I know anything or even have Firefox (I don't, I use Internet Explorer, like the vast majority of people), not to mention I'm technologically challenged.

Must say, Chris looks good. He has been MIA for so long. He deleted his blog, though I think he just opened it to post pictures of him cooking squirrels and other roadkill based on the WFT and OMG comments that were being made. I have not been on the MV site in a long time to see if he is back doing any videos.

Well, it is snowing here in NYC, a damp messy snow, maybe a couple of inches so far. My office is not closed today, so I came in; I just hope getting home is not going to be a nightmare.

Just started up here too. Lightly, but they say that it will pick up for the afternoon and evening commute. Weather people here are happy again that they get to join in on this one, think they were a little jealous of the meteorologists in DC, Baltimore and Philly from the last storm.
Nothing like a snow storm to raise the ratings of the local news. If I had a dollar for everytime they made a fuss about a storm that never happened, I could retire.
