Jake was out and about yesterday in LA.

"A camera-shy Jake Gyllenhaal was spotted quickly jumping into a pal’s car after lunch at La Cienega Grill Café in Los Angeles today".

Hmmm does his pal own an Audi Q7 too?

Or does he get to drive Jake's?

And why would Jake be so camera shy going out the back?

Was The CW's move of OTH to Tuesday nights at 8 for a better lead-in for Life Unexpected or is OTH, The CW's sacrificial lamb to go up against Glee?

Did The CW go with a safety, because they didn't have enough good pilots this spring and just looked ahead to see what they could get together for a mid season replacement?

Glee's won a Golden Globe Award, a People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Comedy and a Peabody Award. It's won four Emmy Awards with an additional 15 nominations for the show. Their critical acclaim and solid ratings have gotten them some of the biggest names in music to be a part of the show either releasing their music to be used in the show or appearing on it. And with Britney coming to play with the Gleeks is there anyway OTH can compete?

But can you just imagine Sensitive Julian vs. Sue Sylvester in a Thunderdome showdown ?

Glee has an average rating of 9.77 million weekly viewers. OTH's best rating were during their second season averaging 4.3 million viewers, last season they averaged 2.3 million. Both shows are geared to the same demographics. With only a half a season secured, The CW has done the bare minimum of an ad campaign. OTH was was not invited to the Television Critics Association gathering in August like last season. There are no new photoshoots.

Just call it. Dead Man Walking.


Did OMG scoop the big guys?

Yesterday OMG posted at 2:53PM EST about Sharon Lawrence being cast as Julian's mom, from a tweet posted over the past weekend. At 9:31PM EW.com's Michael Ausiello posted "the exclusive" about Sharon Lawrence coming on the show.

Comments at EW did bring up a good point. Didn't it seem like Julian's mom was dead, from his comments that he couldn't save her. Well, OTH has killed off enough people in the past season, maybe season 8 they're doing to to characters what they can't do with the show, beat the Grim Reaper.

And from this tweet, looks like old friend Matthew Frost was there when Jake snapped it.




Alex was in Donnie Darko with Jake, Matt was a set production assistant for the movie, and long time friend Jenny was Jake's date for the premiere.

Hard to believe it's been 10 years since they filmed it.

Last time, he was alone in a house, quiet and contemplative in the pictures. But this time he comes back and show that fun and spirited side of him. And easy going silliness from goofing off in the aisle of the candy store to standing under the Jake's Bar Mitzah sign at Katz's Deli.

Despite the lightheartedness of the pictures, Jake touches on some of the serious things in his life, including his parent's divorce, and for the first time how Heath's death affected him.

'Family ... my family, you know ... I love them ... whatever they do, whatever they are ... I love them ... you're actually going to make me cry ...' And just a little, he does."

Peter (in the GQ article) .... "extolling Jake’s virtues, how unusual he is: “It’s a very difficult thing—or it has been over the course of my life—for me to have respect for people like Jake, who are not self-destructive, who are positive. The Crazy Tree is bringing it for the final four episodes. And by bringing it it looks like "we've lost all direction in the script so we're going do put the ladies is fast cars and bikinis sex tapes and chasing guys and then do a time jump.

(Let's see 7 seasons that started in 2003, with the first time jump of 5 years between season 5 and 6 would make it be 2015 and then and a year and half between season 6 and 7 would make almost 2017 when started back soooo with the next jump Seven Dreams 'til Tuesday will premiere in 2018 or 19? Damn were did the the 'teens go? Wasn't just 2010 yesterday?)

Doesn't make a lot of sense with their demographics but makes perfect sense to their writers, who just want to get it over with have another drink and fax out their resumes.

Which begs the question if a Tree falls on the The CW does anyone hear it?

Ever notice how the both Jake and Austin have been seen holding hands lately?

They put there hand out to be held onto. Jake with his whole hand and Austin lets his one finger free.It's like they're used to putting their hand out for little hands to hold on to.

Point and Shoot

Seems like Austin is getting into the idea of being Lincoln Booth. Wonder if he's gotten bitten by the shutter bug yet. (For some subjects, that has to be a big YES YES YES). There's one kind of photograph he doesn't seem happy to see at all and that is Paparazzi photographers. If he knows they're there, the grin is gone and a I mean business stare down seems to appear. He truly defines his space and who's in it with him, with just one look. Almost to say don't even think about it asshole.

Makes you wonder what kind of pictures that Austin would take to prep for his role. Seems like Lincoln is not a pap, but you wonder if Austin would like to turn the tables and take some pictures of his "adversaries" in real life.

Such an observer of people you wonder it will be people and kind of day in the life of the city pictures.

Someone with a keen eye of art, would he take picture of things that appear artistic? And what would that be? Fading signs on the side of a building? A dirty puddle with a prism of sun reflecting in it? The beauty of a building? The curve of a door handle?

Then there's a person communes with nature whether in the water, or just lying on the grass reading in a park. Would he take pictures of a wave breaking in the morning sun? The wind bending the branches of trees? Or maybe the beauty of a hidden oasis steps from a house?

Or will he just take pictures of those smiles and grins and eyes that reflects back to him all that he gives to them.

Media Relations Lesson 1

No, wasn't sleeping, but when its over 50 and sunny and feels finally springlike in New England, you hit the beach. At least for a great morning to soak it up.

Speaking of spring - for many us tonight is the night we spring forward and move our clocks ahead. And when you do that, its always a good time to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors. It might save you life one day.

While everyone is spinning and weaving theories, again so many are losing sight of the most important thing .

And then another 2 years from now remember why there might be no more pictures, and that it wasn't all about PR, but about fans hold part of the blame too. Appreciate it. Come on look at it. Movie Magic, Mystery and Madness

The Magic

Not only do we get pictures of Austin, but Jake resurfaces at Pinewood Studios. On the same day. As Doug Henning would say -- "Magic!"

With the make up and dye hair, you get can really see Jake as the Prince of Persia. He needs the winter coat because it it looks like Dastan's shirt is built for the desert heat. At first glance it looks like Jake is wearing a shortie robe with pants, doesn't it? He better keep his eye on those boots because Austin maybe eying them. This isn't the first time Jake's gone dark (haired) for a movie. What do you think? And it looks like he is getting into the long hair thing. Guess he and Austin are doing the long and short of it aren't they?
