Actor Austin Nichols pleaded guilty Thursday to drinking and driving in downtown Jackson in August.
Nichols, who was staying with family at Clark Lake last summer, pleaded by mail to misdemeanor operating while visibly impaired.
District Judge Joseph Filip fined him $1,000. The fine was paid and the case is closed, Filip said.

Don’t know about you, babes, but my peeper always perks for Reese Witherspoon. Adore her. From Legally Blonde and her Oscar-winning job as June Carter Cash in Walk the Line to having the nerve to hook up with a heartbreaker like Ryan Phillippe, this is a gal who knows how to strut her chica cojones, fer sure. (And I don’t simply feel this way because she calls me “Mr. Casablanca.” That’s simply a southern thang, trust.)
And as you may have heard from my canoodling colleagues at Page Six, the rumors are certainly out there that the blondie exes are, perhaps, trying their hands at reconciliation.
Rang up some mutual buds R and I have. Was adamantly told by one amiga: “100 percent not true,” about the possible reunion stuff. But I must tell you, this close Witherspoon camper was the only direct dissenter I could find to the going-it-again talk.

Certain H-town know-it-alls claim Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal plan to (again) end their romance. “They were never romantically involved,” relayed a close amiga to both stars.

As for the break-up I think they'll get a couple of months more mileage out of this (they haven't had their much-discussed trip to Hawaii yet, I can see that happening sometime) - I'm gonna go ahead and bet on a split by March. Just a guess :-)

Despite Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon both being listed as top celebrities for the website, Just Jared has not posted the Jeese and kids pics.
Britney. This has become sad now. I read that she's being held for 72 hours. I don't know CA mental health law, but that sounds like it could be an emergency mental health detention. After the 72 hours, something would have to be filed to continue to hold her or she will be released. That's how it works in DC, anyway.

Weird: Maybe it has something to do with Flynet? I was checking the archives on JJ and they seem to be one of the few agencies that that site doesn't use. I checked Jake's archives and they seem to have one set of pics of Jake from Flynet, several months back but they also credited several other agencies as well.
If you noticed it wasn't just these pics or the ones taken on 12/29 but there are several other sets of pics of them that Flynet has posted and JJ has never posted them and they include the pics of Jake and reese in Napa and the pics of them riding around before Napa, they are not on that site.
And Flynet is suing Perez so we know why he didn't post them.
Britney waving from the gurney to the paps, is not funny, but reminded me of a client from the group home I worked in, who did the same thing to all of us. She waved like she was heading off to Disneyland. This was after she threw herself into the walls repeatedly before we could intervene. The ER became a 72(hr) which be came 21(day)eval.
Britney needs true care and treatment and it is long past time for those who really love and care about her to intervene. There is no bandaid for this one.

Funny isn't it that that site is related to the photo agency Big Pictures (sort of the UK based Flynetonline?), who had some of the copyrights for the infamous Rome lovefest shots (at least in the Daily Mail). If they are coming out not believing Reeke, then something must be wrong in paradise. The whole thing just becomes more bizarre by the day.

That Rufus quote had me grinning and shaking my head. As a very long-time Rufus fan, I can assure you that Rufus-speak is never subtle and almost always loaded. It also does a disservice to the reader not to be able to hear his voice/intonation and see his wild facial expressions. Or his devilish laugh, which I'll bet was peppered throughout that quote, especially the end. So it would've been more like, "I'm preeeeetty sure he's straight, eheheheheheh!" (insert cartoon-y let-me-think-about-it-for-two-seconds face, eyebrows furrowed, mouth in sly smile) "Pretty" is a word Rufus will throw out liberally, and I would say it's fairly non-committal. By my calculations, Rufus has known Jake for at least 5 or 6 years, so he either knows or doesn't care (but probably has an idea). He's a shameless flirt and I can actually see him and Jake being rather affectionate with one another. Rufus being sexual about Jake is just a given, lol.
Rufus is what you see is what you get as a person, but very playful with words; he's left it wide open, imo. He's also *very* loyal as a friend. Very. So he would say or do whatever he needs to for Jake. I love hearing that they've become closer friends. That solidifies a lot of nice things about Jake for me. I'll just have to love him forever for that now. :)
And it was a phone interview so if Rufus didn't do any verbal play in that quote who knows he could have been rolling his eyes at whoever was with him in the room when he said it. ;)
