Happy birthday Austin! I was so happy to see that Austin is talking to Milch again about working on the police show and that he was also in talks about another movie. And, of course I was happy that Austin has a sex scene with a guy in The Informers! Wonder what Jake thinks about that?

What is Austin now? 28? Hope he has a good one.
I'd like to see that cop show with Milch comes to fruition for Austin - I think he works well with him, and it's a prestige gig compared to a lot of tv shows.
Not surprised by the rumored m/m sex scene in The Informers - this is from a Bret Easton Ellis book after all, and he's kinda bi. (Well, he's had affairs with men, but doesn't really define himself as queer AFAIK. Wonder if Austin identifies with that?)

After BBM no major gay roles followed but it seems to be opening up a bit. Milk, Ang's new movie, and the one with Jim and Ewan. Three films with gay characters in the works. Very promising.
Yes and they're all mainstream films. The only one that seems like a love story, albeit an offbeat one, is the Jim/Ewan movie.

So many things I want to wish for. A big role in the Milch series for starters, and based on the description of the book, I'd love to see Austin in a movie like Earthquake.
But probably my biggest wish is for him to be free to live his life the way he wants, and not literally locked up somewhere away from public view as he seems to have been the past year. And by that that I don't even mean coming out.
The story line on the show Law & Order Special Victims Unit caught the attention of some up here in New England.

Hope Austin is having a fab birthday, anyone that gorgeous, talented and cute deserves to.

Little Tidbit from Ted.
Loved Jeanne Wolf’s Parade piece about Patrick Dempsey having “pec envy” over Grey’s Eric Dane. Patrick went to great lengths to tell J.W. how he doesn’t want to be ripped for TV or anything like that. Is that so? Dude’s spent many a sweaty sesh right next to my not entirely ripped ass (don’t go there, folks), preening and pumping away. Dempsey’s as self-obsessed as the rest of us, no more, no less.
Except, maybe for Jake Gyllenhaal. Mr. G used to strut and stretch right next to Dempsey, me and Tobey Maguire, all at the same pumping station. Dempsey outdid us all, particularly the half-butt workout Jakey, no question. P.D. never stops. He be fibbin’ to poor Jeannie!
Destiny, Austin is a big boy. I am sure he doesn't have to be locked away anywhere, or be anywhere, he doesn't want to be.

Did I read that Ted mention correctly? He used to workout in the same gym as Jake? Then all the more reason to believe Ted has first hand info.
I do like the idea of Austin going to Europe. He said he wanted to see Italy so those Rome reeke pics really pissed me off.
At first I thought that site was going to have to do with dessert. It was not nice of them to not credit OMG
I felt pissed for the same reason M. And this is just an example of what I was talking about earlier. Yes Austin is an adult and made a decision to go along with Reeke, but IMO he and Jake went into this thinking it wouldn't be that bad or that it wouldn't be that long. But it is obvious from looking at Jake what a toll it has taken on him, and I don't doubt that it has taken a toll on Austin, but the only thing visible to us is his disappearance from public. And of course there is no way of knowing, but IMO having to see your boyfriend skip around Rome with his beard when you can't even be seen with him anywhere in public has to hurt, no matter how much you convinced yourself beforehand that it was okay to go along with this.
So did Jake stop going to the gym because of Ted, or, is it in WeHo and off-limits? Oh, that's right, he has to go work out in Brentwood.

hmm, a different obssession/type of workout Jake was doing, methinks ted is saying. not that i'm saying it was sex in the sauna heh, more like a beta fish in front of the other males. maybe thats why jake has gained wieght [fmrs mkt, Cabo] -no more trips allowed to WeHo gyms, no running w/buddies, no reason to strut. or smile, eh.
Sounds like he's saying Jake liked to show off his "stuff" and strut around without really doing a strenuous workout. Like a peacock showing off his plumage to the other males.
