Get Framed

It's another media day for Jake at the Four Seasons, in LA. More interviews for Source Code, before he heads back on the small screen to promote the movie.

But it's not all about the work for Jake. He's gives back too. The day before Source Code opens, Jake will be on Regis and Kelly and then take some time to give back to the New Eyes for the Needy organization that Jake has been involved with for years.
Jake stopped off to the New Eye headquarters in New Jersey last spring when he took time from from his PoP schedule to meet with the staff and volunteers who's mission is to bring the gift of improved vision those in need so they to pursue a better quality of life for themselves, their families and their communities. Jake now also serves as a member of their board.

New Eyes is having its annual See For Change II event at the La Pomme in NYC on March 31st, from 6:00 - 10:30 pm. Guests are invited to bring any unwanted eyeglasses for donation, and will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, music provided by DJ Louis XIV, as well as happy hour drinks specials throughout the night. At the center of the event will be the See for Change II silent auction. The Dress? As they say "to impress."

And how is the new board member pitching in ? By kicking off the event of the night, and with that brand of enthusiasm he has, no doubt he will have everyone in the room lining up to bid on something.

Some of the items include:

  • 2 tickets to NBC's Saturday Night Live
  • Burberry accessories
  • Gift certificate to Mint Julep boutique
  • Cooking lesson with Touche de Finesse Inc. for 3 people with a professional chef
  • NYC night out on the town package: Two premium seat tickets to Broadway play "Wicked" with a gift certificate for dinner at a restaurant of the winner's choice
  • NBA jersey SIGNED by Pistons player Ben Gordon
  • 6 Month membership to Crunch Fitness
  • Dinner for 2 at Artisanal Fromagerie and Bistro
  • Stay in an apartment in Paris for a week
  • Art work by Stella Michaels
  • Gift basket from Riazul tequila (including 3 bottles, a shirt and hat)
  • Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean) Autographed Color Framed Photograph
  • Billy Joel Autographed Framed Album
  • Robinson Cano (w/”1st Grand Slam 9-15-05” - Special Inscription) Autographed Limited Edition Baseball w/Cherry Wood Case
Looks like there are a couple of things that Jake might bid on for himself or maybe for someone who has a birthday coming up.

For more tickets and details of the event check out them out at: New Eyes for the Needy.

Thanks PG for the tweet about New Eyes

Just saw your post of the tweet about Jake PG. I guess I forgot to look to see if anyone posted between the time I typed my last post and hit the publish button.

The woman is a publicist for country bands, so I would imagine she'd know who Jake Gyllenhaal is. And gee, who am I going to believe, someone who posts an actual tweet and picture, or Jack with his "you'll just have to believe me" about the FB postings.

And ROFLMAO, hamster on a wheel. I'm going to remember that one.

A tweet, a pic and a professional who tweeted it. Now let's see Jake was where and Austin is how tan?

Hey, most of us have time to still catch the Super Full Moon. Hope those who get the chance can.

LOL!!! For a minute there, I thought it said peegee moon. LOLLLLL!!!

We're gray and rainy here. I doubt whether I get to see this big moon tonight. Rats!!

Sorry that the rain is going to ruin your chance to see the moon. We're going to head up to the roof of our building in about 20 minutes to watch it rise.

I'm not 4:03 or "Jack" (funny how anyone who disagrees with you is "Jack) - but it's pretty rich that you talk about picking and choosing tweets, since you were the one who thought you were making a great discovery with your "gold star" tweet about Jake wanting the entire balcony for himself, which turned out to be false. Great detective work, that. Still think the BT "twins" are sharing a room, btw?

Number 1. I know you're not Jack because Jack spells my name peeeeegeeee and you spelled it out. Number one clue.

Jack has become a generic term. While Jack doesn't make all the snarky comments that are appearing on here and WFT2 lately, he makes the majority of them. I, as well as others, am full aware that there are a couple of other trolls. Since none of you are brave enough to use a name, you all are going to get the generic umbrella term "Jack".

prairiegirl said...

Number 2, I could care less what your thoughts are regarding the gold star tweet.

You are not proven right on that and it remains to be seen.

Sorry! No victory for you on that one.

Number 3. Yes, I think there could be twins. But I don't know that for sure. Only one person anonymously commented on T2 one day that Jake & Austin had 4 kids with 5 on the way. No one knows who that person was - it remains a mystery. But if that is the case (that there are twins), they or any combination of children could be sharing a room.

What on earth is so outlandish, uncommon, mindblowing and unbelievable about that?

Here's a nugget to chew on and a big PG Exclusive:

My sister and I grew up sharing a bedroom from the time we were born until we were out of high school.

GASP!!!!! FAINT!!!

Oh, what a world, what a world, what a world!!!

Yes, it's true.

Pssst!!!! HEY! Guess what?

"PG and her sister" shared a bedroom.

Oh man, you are kidding.

I kid you not.

Why on earth for?

"Well, I hear her parents started out with only a two bedroom house. When they began their family, what could they do? Put one of the poor dears in the bathtub? Suppose they could have bought a new house, but they were only a small American family and couldn't afford a bigger house. So.....they put the two girls in , the same bedroom!!!"

It shows now too, doesn't it? Thought so. Oh, I still bear the scars, I'm afraid...

Here is another interview with Jake at SXSW with We Got This Covered.

BTW, the sighting of Jake at M cafe was on FB as were the Runyan canyon sighting, I don't post FB sighting here becuase of what some Jake "fans" did to his Mom's FB.

Last night he was tweeted at an event in L.A. that sells organic jeans, find it.

There were FB sightings of him at his old school Westlake in L.A. where they were showing some films, again I won't link.

Jake wasn't at that event, I don't care what she does for a living. She obviously thought she causght him on camera because why else would she tag it Jake?

Again no one else mentioned him being there , she knew he was there for SC and just assumed he was there.

And what the hell does doing PR for country bands have to do with anything? A tweet? A pic that is not Jake? You make no sense SK.

Speaking of tweets:

prairiegirl, what the heck was that long ramble about at 7:24PM? Big deal that you shared a room with your sister. I shared a room with mine. That's not the point. The point is there is NOTHING to indicate twins. The point is you, along with SK, are choosing to ignore Ted's recent reply about the SINGULAR BT and where it's not being raised - clearly not by Toothy and clearly not in LA, no matter how much silly spinning SK does.

Oh, and yeah, you were proven wrong about the balcony, nothing "remains to be seen." But, again, you miss the point that you cherry pick tweets just like you accuse others of doing.

I see the troll is melting down again. The first clue was when she went right to a tanning booth to explain Austin's tan. And she wonders why we think she sounds so silly.

No moon view for us here in CA. It's been raining all day.

Special K said...

Went out to see the moon. So so bright and big. I tried to capture it in a picture or two.

prairiegirl said...

Again. I am not on facebook so I cannot search on it.

And no, I'm not going to go "find" it. How easy is that to tell someone else to go "find" what they claim to have found with no clue to go on?

I'll just have to doubt your word for it and say that there isn't one since you're not willing to put it up.

prairiegirl said...

And NO, I am NOT proven wrong regarding the balcony.

You clearly have a capping issue. Please stop shouting. I can read perfectly fine. I recognize your capping from WFT2. You're awfully big on that.

And being able to share a room has everything to do with your comment about whether I believe twins (if Jake and Austin have them) could possibly share a room in his 3 bedroom L.A. house. That is precisely the point I was making - that children can and do share bedrooms.

It had nothing to do with what Ted said. You asked if I still thought twins could be sharing a room and I explained how.

Frankly, I don't care what Ted said. Sometimes I think Ted speaks of BT as a generic term.

Right now, personally I could throttle Ted for what I see as verbal backtracking, backing off, hiding behind mainstream reporting and general, all-around annoyance. He's not exactly on my highly favored list right now.

I don't care if Ted backtracks enough now to say Jake just has Atticus. There has been waaaay, waay too much to point towards Jake being with Austin and the both of them having a family now.

And I don't care what you naysayers go on about - it's not changing my mind.

prairiegirl said...

Boy, did anyone actually "buy" Renee Z and Brad Cooper?

That was one of the sorriest bearding jobs ever.

I also can't describe enough the turn-off factor I get whenever I see Orlando Bloom on Just Jared. Him and his "wife" do an even worse job of selling it than Coop and Renee.

And the fact that Orlando "married" his beard and they both go around carrying the baby masquerading as a real couple is just a slap in the face to the intelligence of the general public.

I see cnn.com's headlines about what is going on right now over in Libya.

The poor citizens of Libya caught in all of that violence right now.

This world is truly losing its grip.

What a gorgeous, gorgeous morning it is. I've gotten back from ushering at my old church and as I was standing by my car to get into it, there was some birds just singing their lil' hearts out up there in that big tree. It was just something to hear them singing in such mild temperatures. Just sheer beauty.

And my old pastor, Pastor Kyle, he had left after service was over, then he came back; said he just had to give me a hug. How awesome is that? That just made my morning. What I love about Pastor Kyle is he is just like one of us - he has his gripes, his troubles, laments, you know - like normal. But he is still always so happy and bursting with some kind of bright outlook. Full of love. I just love him.

And this time of year, my old church is a place of beauty. They have a colonial style sanctuary that's huge with a classic white steeple. Big, big arching windows. And then there's little mini chapel attached to it where the early service is; that's where I've always gone. And in between the two, is this courtyard with concrete and wooden benches and trees, flowers, greenery. And in the spring, the trees bloom and through the glass windows, you see these white/pink little flowers on the trees against the blue sky and clouds, bright sunlight. And it is like a rite of spring - it's just a picture of purity. It's beauty in its simplest, most pure form. It just gives you this feeling of happiness and peace inside - it's remarkable.

I like my new church, love the pastor; she gives great messages. But I've just never gotten as involved there like I was at my old church. The old place - those people literally pulled you in, drafted you, enlisted you. LOL. And the new place is sooo big. So big, you can get lost.

But now I see how good it was to get enlisted; even though there were times I griped about it. I was the better for it and I see that now.

Huge storm here last night. Strong winds, rain. I had a hard time sleeping. Woke up today expecting to see some trees or branches down but surprisingly no damage.

No relation to Jake but if you are into Tom Hardy, ONTD has a short film from a current festival where he is in full frontal nudity. And I mean full frontal, side, rear, giving it a wiggle, you name it. The man is not in the least bit ashamed or embarrassed to display his body. And what a body it is. Very sexy man and a totally fearless actor. The film short was not all that good but Tom is worth looking at.

Not a church-going person myself, but your church and pastor sound really nice PG.

Saw the moon last night, it was really orange when it first came up, really beautiful to look at. Didn't even try taking photos as I know I could never capture it.

Beautiful sunny day here, but after a couple of days in the 70s, 50 feels cold.
