Movie Mash

Austin tweeted another hint to his new project:

If you like Fight Club, American Psycho, and The Bourne Identity, then you'll like my new gig.  - AUS10

So does that mean it's about an insomniac business man who seeks out primal male aggressive behavior to make him feel something  anything and wakes up not remembering anything and it's all part of CIA plan , and there's soap involved?

Or does it mean that it has Christian Bale, Brad Pitt shirtless and Matt Damon in a speedo.  (Wait that sounds like the sequel to the new Liberace movie)

Does it mean he's going back to late 80's but gets a Pixies' song for it's theme?

Or could it be that its about guys in search of  their identity?

Hmm. No clue what that could mean. Though it does now sound like a tv series or movie.

Audible Studios, the production arm of Audible.com, today announced the publication of Jake Gyllenhaal's masterful audio interpretation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's preeminent novel, The Great Gatsby. The release marks the first audiobook performance by Academy Award nominee Gyllenhaal, and the first of Audible Studios' series of definitive recordings of the Fitzgerald canon in association with the Fitzgerald Estate. Forthcoming audio editions will include Tender is the Night and The Love of the Last Tycoon as well as other works of fiction.

"We are thrilled to bring this remarkable new recording of F. Scott Fitzgerald's masterpiece to our listeners," said Audible EVP and Publisher Beth Anderson. "Jake Gyllenhaal's subtle pacing of the narrative and his portrayal of these fabulous characters showcase his versatility as an actor. Fans of his theater and film work will love hearing Jake's interpretation of Gatsby."

Anderson added, "Everyone who's planning on seeing the new film version of The Great Gatsby will want to listen to this audiobook first for the fullest experience of Fitzgerald's language."

Baz Luhrmann's much-anticipated film version of The Great Gatsby will open this year's 66th annual Cannes Film Festival and will be released nationwide May 10.

"We are delighted that Audible Studios will be bringing an avid and growing audience of listeners to F. Scott Fitzgerald's works," said Jake Elwell of Harold Ober Associates, which represents the Fitzgerald Estate.

Audible will announce its casting choice for Tender is the Night shortly.

Among the acclaimed actors who have performed works of literature for Audible Studios in the past year are Anne Hathaway, Claire Danes, Colin Firth, Diane Keaton, Dustin Hoffman, Kate Winslet and Samuel L. Jackson.

hmm, perhaps that was a bit startling. Let's try again.

Hi, love your blog and the bromance between Austin & Jake.

There are many who know the history between Jake and Austin to be above and beyond the involvement of a simple bromance. Something tells me you haven't fully realized what this blog is about.

I don't know about anyone else, I certainly do not know of any address where one could write to him.

Have you tried tweeting at him?
