What is it about this man ? What is it that makes him stay out of the spotlight? What is about him that so many fear? We have a inclination what Jake feels about him, just from the gazes and grins. Again and again reading interviews with those who have worked with him all you hear is compliments. Soon you will start to see his names on more "promising actors" or "ones to watch" lists.
The more you find out about Austin the more intriguing he is. Articulate, well read, hard working, diverse, and it seems always ready for a laugh. He's one of those people at a dinner party that are a favored guest, who gets invited again and again. You can see why Jake's grin is so great at the mere thought of him.
The only hope is to see more of him of him in the future.

Does DC forum buy Reeke?
The last sighting was NY, holding hands and Jake looking like he'd been f---ed into a good mood the next day. In fact, the most genuine smile in quite some time on the day after. No smile like that in any Reeke picture, ever. Also, we did start our own cult. OMG and WFT or did you not understand that?
Re DC forum, the same situation applies as the world. Some believe Reeke, some think it is Austin, a few think it's Chris. Any mention of Reeke though leads to arguments and the mods step in to referee. DC does have a large gay contingent so really there is not much mention of Reeke when you consider the size of that forum. I think there is a lot of understanding there since many gay men went through similar experiences before coming out. Also, the demographics skew towards a more mature age goup.
I admit I do go over to Gyllenbabble. The things that I've noticed are-
1)the posts are well done
2)not many comments, both this blog and WFT have way more
3)any comments over there that disagree are deleted- there are NO comments at all that disagree that are allowed to stand
4)there aren't that many comments posted that disagree

That was one of the weakest sightings ever. Reported by the fool Ted Casablanca.
Number one: There was no mention of Austin anywhere in that sighting.
Number Two: he was actually with Reese Witherspoon when this "sighting" is alleged to have taken place. But, then again considering the source, why should we let facts take away from our delusions, right? He was in NYC to promote "Rendition" and she met with him on Wednesday night --- the night of this sighting --- since she was scheduled to appear the next morning on the Today Show. That was the weekend they went to ROME together!
If anything, that sighting all but proves what a liar Ted Casablanca is. It obviously goes to show how poor his "sources" actually are. Because he wrote up that sighting BEFORE the pictures in Rome were published. He didn't even know that Reese and Jake were together in NYC before going to Rome. So he published this absolutely ridiculous anonymous sighting because it fit into his little worldview. Yet, it's obvious that he doesn't even know what's going on.
Yet you people follow him like he's a messiah or something. Given that he is the ONLY gossip columnist proporting to have sources claiming a relationship between Jake and anyone other than Reese WItherspoon.

To answer my own question...
Jake and Austin haven't even seen each other since LAST SPRING. So, if you reality-challenged people are right about them having a relationship together, they have been on the EXTREME DOWNLOW for nearly a year now.
And before that they couldn't have spent too much time together since Austin was filming "JFC" and before that Jake was filming, "Rendition." I bet those two haven't spent more than three or four days together in the past year and a half, and haven't seen each other at all in 9 months.
Love to see how Ted Casablanca explains that. It won't matter, you nimrods will probably believe anything he writes.
I know many of you are gay and like discovering that celebrities are gay as well. But wouldn't it make more sense to actually accept the truth about people, instead of getting vengeful and mean whenever someone you thought to be gay turns out not to be.

For the record, I really don't have a lot of time to go and spend a ton time on other sites. OMG is my main focus, and asked Wicked there is a lot of time tied up in doing this. That's not to say I don't go to other sites, and many of them are here on our Places to Go List, and of course Red Sox websites.
As for the Gyllenbabble site - honestly I have never been. Why? It is of no interest to me. I have enough exposure to the Gyllenspoon without going to seek it out.

I would like to ask RealityCheck why there has been no public statement from Jeese? They've had photo spreads, but no direct statement from either one of them. That would truly be the way to end all of this speculation about them, for most people anyway. Why not? If they are a couple, they truly are one of the most uninteresting couples in HW, I think. I truly do hope they are serious about each other if so, because they will be spending lots of time toghether in obscurity together soon, I have the feeling. Jake has become very uninteresting since his association with her, and she was never that interesting.

I usually prefer Austin with longer hair, but he is just drop-dead gorgeous in this picture. For starters the haircut is perfect in the way it frames his face. On top of that he's really working that tall and lean look here.

This back and forth argument about Jake being gay and in a relationship with Austin, or being straight and in a relationship with Reese, is now so pointless. Who cares anymore who he sees, or who he's sleeping with. I know I don't, not anymore anyway. He has shown us what he's really made of and it's not very pretty. His inaction and silence over the death of Heath was deafing. He's made it pretty clear where he stands. And I'm not going to waste anymore time on him. Someone once said "Don't judge one by his charms, but by his qualities". Jake has shown us that he has plenty of the former, but sorely lacking in the latter.

I remember reading jeff's posts on IMDb when he used to have a go at a girl (teevee) who loved Jeese, sans photographic evidence. He used exactly the same rhetoric. Then the photos appeared and he underwent a Damascene conversion, with the results we see on here. He obviously believes photos, however contrived they may look and however limited the number of providers, are the measure of reality and sanity. By that token, Jake has no sister, parents or best friend Chris either.

I'm watching The Insider and they just interviewed a writer from US Magazine. Their cover story is on Heath's drug abuse and Michelle's attempts to help him. At one point, Michelle wanted Heath drug tested everytime he was with Matilda. Also as early as March 2006, a month after the Oscars, Michelle drove Heath to Promises, the rehab center in Malibu, begging him to get help. Among the drugs he was using were coke, booze, meth and heroin.
Also, OK mag has a story about how Heath was at a drug party at the Chateau Marmont, which is where John Belushi died after hours of speedballing.
It's going to get worse, folks, I'm sure.

Ever since Reeke started with the coffee/walks, driving around, Napa, SFran even Rome, one Jake thing (ok a lot of things but this one hasnt been talked about) has disappeared, THE TONGUE. No sexy Jake tongue in sight when the cameras are rollin for Reeke. Any one else notice it missing too??
What could it mean that something he's been expressive with (probably unknowingly) for years has disappeared? Could he be on drugs (or off if thats what was causing the tongue habit) or so unhappy (or feeling so unsexy and miserable around her) his involuntary facial expressions have changed??

Step 1: Create a target to be accomplished by Jake.

Healer Deepak Chopra has recalled his last conversation with actor Heath Ledger - and said he was “depressed”.
The guru and writer spoke to the Brokeback Mountain star the day before he died, he told a US magazine.
He said Ledger sounded tired and emotional - and mentioned that he had not seen his two-year-old daughter Matilda for some time, Chopra claimed.
He said: “He was a little depressed about not having seen his daughter.
“It was like, ‘I’m missing my girl. … ‘
“He hadn’t seen her [Matilda] over the holidays, he mentioned that.”
Ledger was found dead in the bed of his New York apartment last Tuesday. The cause of death is still being investigated.
Chopra was with mutual friend, Shekhar Kapur, who directed Ledger in 2002 film, The Four Feathers, when he spoke to him.
Ledger also admitted he was having trouble sleeping, Chopra said. “He’s a very, very ambitious actor and hard-working guy,” he said.
“He was still high from the experience [of filming in London] and he hadn’t come down. He was exhausted.”
Ledger had been filming The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus in the UK city immediately prior to his death.
Indian-born Chopra, 51, told America’s People mgazine that Ledger planned to meet him and Kapur for dinner the following day. He even tried to schedule a massage for Ledger at New York’s Chopra Center on the day of his death, he said.
Chopra also said he heard about Ledger’s death via text message - leaving him to break the news to Kapur.
He recalled: “I had to sit him down and say, ‘I’m sorry to tell you this, but we’re not going to be having dinner with Heath. He’s dead.’”
He added: “Shekhar is totally devastated.
“[Heath] was always questioning about the meaning of existence.
“He’d always bring up existential dilemmas and conundrums … Is there a higher consciousness? What’s the meaning of existence?”
The the best-selling author thinks it’s unlikely Ledger could have taken his own life. He said: “He was connected to life and joy. Joy is the word.”

It's interesting (if this is true) that there's videotape of Heath snorting coke with two strangers at the Chateau Marmont. It kind of makes you think of what other secret photos or videos exist of celebrities that they don't want the public to see.

Interesting catch about the tongue going missing. I had not noticed but it's true. He hardly opens his mouth at all anymore when he is with you know who. All the joy that radiated from him is gone.
Plan for trolls more often now that WFT is closing down. OMG will be the number one target.
Jossip mentioned that jake and reese were together again, photographed together that is. Their words. They dont buy it.
I think we will all keep drifting to heath talk for a bit longer. It is just such a big deal, such a shock. Austin looks terrific in that picture. I think he's a great guy an doing everything right - except putting his foot down with Jake. But I keep going back to thoughts of Heath. Drug user or no drug user, his death is tragic.
I find it hard to stop thinking about Heath. The whole thing is so awful.

"Before my friend Ken picked me up, he stopped into the post office, between noon and noon-thirty. While there he said he just felt a presence that made him stop. There in line was Jake Gyllenhaal. Jake looked over at him, as he was probably feeling someone staring at him. He gave Ken a little smile of acknowledgment, whereupon Ken left.
Ken said he was wearing a blue cloth jacket, looked a bit tired, and that no one there was bothering him.

Ugh Jake's tongue IS missing. In pics. and he doesn't have a voice of his own anywmore. couldn't say a thing about Heath. can't even speak up for himself. this all happened with Reeke. if the Jeesers think its love then they don't know shit about self respect. you don't sacrifice one for the other.

I know what you mean about Heath. Its hard for it to sink in somehow - seems so unreal, and then its hits and feels like your stomach is sinking to your feet. Horrible. So unfair to lose him so soon *tears*
Wonder if Jake saw his FBI Missing Persons picture hanging on the Post Office wall: "Missing Since October 2007: Jake Gyllenhaal's Friends and Family. Also Disappeared: Jake's Personality. Please contact the authorities if you have a PR miracle"

Also wonder if Ken was the waiter at Kate Mantillini's the restaurant where Jaker and Austin were all over each other. If he was and if Jake remembered no wonder he smiled.
Things I learned in therapy, maybe you should go back to therapy. You seem under the weird urge of throwing gratuitous shit at Jake on a daily basis. As if you knew anything about him. It is really not healthy. NOT at all.
