Don't think you mind if there is some Jake on this Austin Friday. In fact I think a lot of people would like many more Austin Fridays like this.
So what's better than an Austin smile to start. Oh you know it is one. And its that head down one trying to keep it a little on the sly, but there is no way he couldn't. Photo op -my ass, that smile is one that can't be held back or manufactured. It is 100% bona fide gen-u-ine. And it's been way too long since we've seen a smile so sweet.
Then there Austin's protective vibe. The serious one he gives, it sends a signal to everyone. He doesn't want anyone to mess with his man. The coffee pictures, the stare into the camera at the Lakers 3 pictures. He means business.

Just wanted to highlight this post from yesterday from Special K before the biking photos arrived!
Glad to see I didn't dream yesterday.
On the downside, the consensus is that it is not looking good on Prop.8, and I've killed another series, Life on Mars. Hands down that was my favorite show this year. If Austin ever ends up on a new series, remind me not to watch it.
Congrats on another inspired post Special. I'm barely able to contain my excitement, just like the rest of you. I've been on a natural high since last night when I checked into OMG.
Just basking in the Jaustin goodness all round before I head in to work. Have a great day everyone and thanks again Special for sticking with those rose-tinted glasses.

Yesterday I did think about the fact that Jaustin pictures are often from around this time of year. But I hadn't remembered that March 5 was the date of the Ted sighting. Hasn't it been said many times that there are no coincidences in HW.

Could someone please explain to me why and how these pics must be staged, must have been PR approved. Can't wrap my mind around that thought process.

How is that a good thing for Reeke? This is indeed a day to celebrate!! We have some great pictures to enjoy. We had visits from some old alumni (old only in the most general of sense, lol). We have NETB back in her full glory. We have spandex with a capital S. lol
And are y'all starting to thaw out over there in the East? Looks like it as I watch my temps scroll by. Heck, even my Michigan friend is enjoying 54 degrees. Now that's a small miracle in itself.
I know you all can't wait til this week is over since that means I'll be back to work and off of here again. By the time a whole week ends, I do always end up missing my co-workers and even my desk duties. Well, for my first 1/2 hr back at work, anyways, lol. I still like what I do, don't like all the corporate crap that is going on, but no job is perfect. All in all, I am very thankful and blessed. And we have been rewarded for the great year that we did have in 2008, most of it coming in a landslide in December. It was indeed worth it. I am on Cloud 9 right now, let me tell you. Just may go shout out from the foundationtop of my little patio.

Hi Orchid! You are right. It's been a great couple of days. So happy to see you, too! Understand about work and all. It gets that way sometimes.
Kacieeeee! Did you ever think? It is nice, isn't it? Your spacing looked alright, about the way it usually does. Very much "you". I couldn't handle it if your format looked any different - I wouldn't recognize you! How's the new computer working out? Did your snow melt? Ours is virtually gone now. We're supposed to get some rain & cloudy days now. At least we had some really nice days this week.
People were picknicking at the park, fishing like crazy (they just stocked the lake at my park), and generally just all over the place, getting in my way & violating my personal space, lol. I'm always glad when the novelty of spring is over & my park calms down.
Oh man, watching the last episode of Seinfeld. The ones where the 4 are on trial and all of their nemesis' appear as witnesses. It is just one humongous laughfest. Jackie Chiles absolutely kills me. Kills me.
You know, I'm still not thinking about any sidethoughts about these biking pictures - still just enjoying them. Regardless of anything, Jake has never looked better. Hands down.
Seeing the pics of Jake and Austin yesterday, it keeps reminding me of when Jake sang "And I am Telling You I'm Not Going" to his unique fanbase then started his 2 year homophobic bearding right after. After these bike pics I wouldn't be surprised to see Reeke engaged. Jake seems to think he's pacifying people when all he's really doing is cheating himself.
Of all the times to be busy at work and not able to drop everything to view. Very frustrating.
Did anyone see Ted's new blind vice today? A rising male actor, about to be the next best thing, refuses to pretend and is going to take his BF everywhere and not hide that he is gay, despite his management's best efforts to get him to play the game. I've no clue who it is since I only follow Jake, Austin and Heath. But it does occur to me that even closeted and bearding, Jake has accomplished something. Any rising gay actor would be watching what happens to Jake, see the stress etc. It would surely influence his choice to be himself. So if even one guy decides to be out due to this charade, something good came of it. Now we just have to wait and see who it is.
Couldnt wait to get home to see if everyone was still sky high. Yesterday was awesome.

I just wake up and the first new I see it's an odd story in Elle Mag ( boring Mag nontheless),surely from an other dimension, with Jake and "the one who musn't be named" in a romantic dance!
Right now, far from me the idea of these two in such situation, specially after my pleasant dream about two famous boys dancing a languorous slow in the middle of the street.( saddly not in spandex LOL!)

I know this comes from Elle magazine which like Vogue is a reputable publication. But I really find this story a little farfetched. Why would Jake go to this? Very possible, I suppose if he was picking her up for lunch or something, but when they go into this spin about breaking into a dance, the story takes a turn for fiction.
In alllllll the appearances together these 2 have had, alllll the photo ops, there has just never been this air of "hopeless romanticism" about them. Just like the Vogue story, with Jake scribbling things in the restaurant guestbook & the sheer romanticism of their trip to Paris, this idea of these 2 breaking into an impromptu, uncontrollable need to dance just smacks of extraordinary.
ITA with PG especially with the faux romanticism. The ipod with Reeke dancing to it sounds like a bunch of BS not only because it's REEKE (give us a fucking break) but also because of the ipod sound logistics.
Plus the lead would no way stretch from her tinyness up to his height. Choice of Jack Johnson inspired by the London gig last summer. Choice of Maroon 5 inspired by ... you see where this is going.
Why would the "Elle" people make this up? Whatever, it gives a certain impression to their readers.
BTW, the new generation of ipods can be integrated with boxes so you don´t need the earplugs.

Is Jake trying to get back his life or his fans? Both? Trying to be ambiguous and intriguing again instaed of selling out to the masses? Because we all know, that sale went in the bargain bin at the dollar store the very first week. Can he recoup his fan value, time will tell.

Kacie, you are not dull and boring. I don't know why you would say that. ZZZZZZZZ is well named. So easy to call other people out when nobody knows anything about you, isn't it? One of my favorite things about PG is her ability to enjoy the mundane things in life, because let's face it, life is made up of mostly mundane things. We all need to know how to enjoy our lives more. I feel I have learned a lot from PG and Kacie's outlooks and their willingness to share themselves with all of us, unlike you, ZZZZZZZ.
Last night, the Mrs. and I went to see Stars on Ice. It was great! We were three rows back and could see everything. The Mrs. took lots of pics to try out her new camera. She's got to edit them and then I will try and put them on Flickr or something so you all can see if you want.

Johansson never did an interview for UK cosmo, nor posed for the cover. She did an interview with the US cosmo and they took that interview and added those quotes, that's the complaint.
Reese sat down with Elle to do the interview and cover and her PR was there i can imagine and it got approval before it wasput to print.
Since the Elle folks published that issue with some miraculous digital plastic surgery, Reese looking more like and Olson twin than the 30 something woman she really is, why wouldn't they print erroneous information within the pages?
In other words - the pic on the cover is a fake, why not the copy, too?

the biking photo-op was not meant to be part of the straight campaign IMo, just another tiral balloon by PR, hey did it in April '07 with 2 sets of biking pics in the beggining of this, didn't like the response.

Speaking of Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine, I saw the previews for the new Star Trek movie and are they not a slasher's dream couple? Both hot in their own way - Kirk fiery and explosive, Spock controlled exterior but simmering underneath. I don't know if it will be a great movie, but the chemistry between them ought to be interesting. :)

If you don't want to be papped,you don't go biking in Griffith Park: 2007 or Brentwood (where you are rumored to be living with Reese and jogged in the same area for a whole week this pass Jan. with his trainer). Hello to Elinor! After I get off of here, I need to check the time difference between here & where you are. I've gotten more of a geography lesson from OMG & LJ than I could ever remember from school.
Several of the WFT2 posters are threatened by J & A. They want to believe that Jake was in love with Heath and that Austin is not good enough for Jake or they want to believe that Chris is Jake's bf. They hate seeing the chemistry between Jake and Austin.
Stars on Ice had to have current Olympic skaters, Wicked? And U.S. National skaters? Man, how did you guys get such great seats? You must've hopped on Ticketmaster 3 minutes before the call start time. Have you ever ice skated before, Wicked? I never have, but always wished I could. It looks so graceful and it's something that you can move to music with. Besides being a sport, it's also another way one can express to music and that always attracts my attention. And the other thing I like? Is the sound of the skates on the ice.
Griffith Park/Brentwood: pap heaven. No need to call them since they hang out there along with LAX,Peet's Coffee, the medical building in BH, Laxxe cafe, various farmers markets, etc. All can be avoided but he and his people choose not to.
He can manage to "dissapear" from the radar for the most part except when he wants to promote Reeke, or make sure he is seen with Directors, and certain friends and family.
Popsugar and JJ are PR blogs and usually get all or most pap pics free which explains why they posted the full set while PITNB, TMZ, E, People, Perez has to actually purchase them that would explain some only posted the one shot of Jake.

Why would TMZ choose not to if they could? Of all the sites, that surprised me. They sure had access like JJ and Popsugar, 2 of the biggest PR whore sites and Reeke friendly sites out there, the fasct that they posted all the pics PR dumped and TMZ didn't makes no sense. And dumping is what they did, happens all the time when tons of pics are taken for a purpose, PR wants the most circulation.
I don't think that any site purchased those pics, OR dumped them and the sites decided what to post:PR whores Popsugar and JJ, mstly all PR approved pics and the rest not for whatever reason.
But, how can a photo-op be arranged without calling ahead? How can PR know who will be snapped or what shot will be hawked on line? Seems like an awful iffy way to insure the right message gets out there.
Also, x17 is Reeke's pap of choice, the agency they have a contract with, but the biking pics were taken by another firm, a non-contracted one, one that is under no obligation - either legal or friendly - to play ball nicely. Why would PR want to give up image control like that?

I'm with you on that, so fast. That's exactly what I believe happened. Jake and Austin went there precisely because of the pap presence, but did so of their own accord. No PR approval, no Reese. They wished to be seen together in public. A result of Austin's not taking IT anymore.

Why would a PR firm that has up to this point been so controling of every tidbit and mention of Reeke put out there throw caution and reputation to the wind just this one time by allowing Jake and Austin on public streets for just any old pap agency to snap them?

I honestly get the feeling Jake and Austin arranged the bike photo op themselves, without PR or Reese's knowledge or approval. I think it was a rebellion, but done with concessions so as not to totally out Reeke as fake. Reasons: image agency used (different, smaller, relatively unknown), only pics of the 2 riding (no personal interactions), shot in Brentwood (where Reese lives supposedly with Jake).
If I'm wrong and it was an accident that the 2 were caught together, then it explains why a smaller image agency released the pics, and I'm sure even then it was negotiated by PR to have only the riding pics released, no personal interaction ones, and why the larger sites were encouraged by PR to print only the solo Jake ones.
