I don't know what to think of Dolly, is she really not gay, or is it a matter of her husband and not wanting to admit to 43 years of lying.
As much as I think it's nice to see a return of the old Jake, I am still deeply puzzled by the avalanche of such photos after two years of Jake in the wilderness.
I like the first one where Ramona is holding onto his neck. Uncle Jake is like "Gah let me breathe" LOL! Kids always seem to grab and dig their elbows and step on you in the worst places!
Hmm, just noticed Jake was wearing his backpack in the latest Ammo pics with M&R. Maggie has a baby bag so the backpack wasn't that. Wonder if Jake was going somewhere (flying) afterwards?

I saw a great window display this morning at Barney's, an upscale clothing/household goods store for those who don't know it. They're They had three windows with a set of pillows in each, with names on the pillows: Michelle and Obama, Lindsay and Sam, and Jack and Ennis. In the background they had photos of pillows with names on them too, matched up together, the vast majority of which were same sex pairings; everything from Adam and Steve (also Adam and Eve) to Dean and Jerry, Margaret and Peppermint Patty, Alice and Gertrude, Narcisus paired with Narcisus reflected backwards, Mom and Mom, Mom and Dad and Dad and Dad.
One thing that really struck me was how the male pairings were all fictional (Jack and Ennis) or ones that were not sexual(Dean and Jerry)--or at least that I observed in my "didn't get enought sleep and need to get to work" state of mind. Then they had David Geffen paired with Cher, in the Jack and Ennis window.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but seemed like they were making a statement about gay men still being confined to the fictional when it comes to well-known pairings.
That is an interesting observation about the Barney's window, Dest. I'm glad to see them at least acknowledge same sex pairings, but it's odd that all the gay male ones were fictional couples. Maybe using a real gay male couple is too threatening?
Interesting about the windows at Barneys. Simon Doonan is the the creative director at Barney's and in charge of their windows. As you may remember he recently married potter/interior designer/lifestyle expert Jonathan Adler. Doonan & Addler
I wonder what is Simon is trying to express in his vision.
Looking at pairings you can see they are some of the most famous known in broadest sense? Or that same sex couple, if if they were fictional where ones who have made their mark in American culture?
I also wonder if the Geffen window is a little snark from Simon to David.
The focus was definetely on same-sex couples, with straight couples thrown into the mix. I don't think Barney's would be worried about being too threatening, they're pretty cutting edge when it comes to their windows, and often do things with a politcal slant, which is why I think there is something else going on. It could be that they are making the political statement that real gay male couples are still threatening, or rare. And when you think of people like NPH or Barrowman, most people are not going to recognize the name of their partners, so that could be factor too.
I won't be able to get by there tomorrow, but if it is still up over the weekend or Monday maybe I'll try and get some photos of it.

ITA. Seen on Fcc this morning as I perused the Blind Items, I saw a new BI (from last week) from Buzz Photo (who had one about Jake being straight, yeah right, Fcc agreed it was a PR plant) about an A list couple where they got along great during the first few years but now fight every day because the guy wants to start having kids and the woman doesn't, because she doesn't want to ruin her figure and she's really busy right now with her career. An Fcc poster brought up that the BI might be a PR plant for setting up Reeke's demise. These sudden pics of Jake with Ramona? Might be feeding into it, too, reinforcing it. Or could be coincidence, but whatever, it's odd that they and the BI are so close timewise.
Jake's lonely, he has a lot of free time on his hands and his Disney-sponsored beard/chaperone is busy. What's the problem?

Have to say Jake's backpack bothers me, it's like it's saying he was on his way flying somewhere. After 3 pix sets of him dining out with men, (Mike White, the unnamed man in the blue shirt, the Scandi guy who was in the Venice pix), alone pix at a med center, 2 sets of pix with him socializing and playing with Ramona (1 set that suddenly popped up after almost 2 months), a "Jake does good-works" vid that JJ just released after 2 months, I have a feeling a major Reekeing news/pix is coming up, probably some exotic shoot with Reese. I just don't trust Jake or Reeke or PR anymore.
I think of it a differently Lane. Maybe heading to see someone. A long tall Texan somewhere mysterious. Where else do meet a mystery man?

That video is really nice. Jake really seemed happy and in his element talking about farming and gardens and greening. Very happy to hear him like that.

Jake's backpack was probably filled with stuff for Ramona. She is at the age where you need alot of diversion to keep a child amused and quiet in a restaurant. His backpack probably had coloring books, crayons, etc. so Ramona had something to do while the adults ate. But, it is wonderful to see Jake so relaxed and smiling a real smile in all of the Maggie and Ramona pics. He has a look that he hasn't been able to fake in the 2 years of photo ops with Reese. I hope that the sudden solo Jake pics we have been getting is Jake beginning to distance himself from Reeke permantly.
So Jake would have lunch with his sister and neice but not include his own child. Let us hope there is no BT.
You can tell from the video from Global Green that Jake is genuinely interested in their initiative. You're right green, he really seems in his element.
The pics are really cute. I specially love Ramona's hands, the little fingers all spread out in excitement! and Jake's smile when he holds her.

Nice to see the Global Green video, but I must say Jake's voice was pretty high. He needs to keep any eye on that.
New Austin blog on sgoth. Concerned me at first because he talks about wearing black all the time, liking fast women, like Johnny Cash. But I think he is speaking as Lincoln Booth, not himself. For one, in all the pictures I've seen of him, he does not wear that much black. Check it out and let me know what you all think.
Odd that some of these pictures are being released so late. An effort to rebuild him as an individual and not Reese's doormat, I think. I have come to believe that he is a follower, not a leader, not that there is anything wrong with that. He's just different than my original take on him.
Austin as in the past used music to get more into the character and the film he's working on, remember his playlist for Glory Road. -- It does sound like he's writing as Lincoln but hearing some Austin slip in an out of it. More on this tomorrow ; )
I don't think Jake would be carrying stuff for Ramona, I'm sure Maggie is used to doing that and does it now as a matter of habit.
I wondered about being out with Ramona and not BT, but figured I'd let it slide a bit so people could just enjoy the pictures. Unless of course BT was there, and just not in the photos, one of the reasons for the delay--i.e., Jake/pr bought all the photos, and later let a few be released. Then again, Jake wouldn't risk going to a place like Ammo with BT, unless there with a nanny who looked like just a friend. Same with Central Park.
Regardless of the scenario, if there is a BT, what Jake and Austin are doing is wrong.
Pix of Jake alone or with family is always great, anything but the manufactured Reeke ads. But I have to say seeing pix of Jake now make me sad compared to pix of him a few years ago. So much difference; a few years ago he held his head high, looked staright ahead, he walked, no not walked, he STRUTTED, confidently and energetically and he looked rightly and directly at the lens, he fucking OWNED the street, the camera, the whole fucking world. Now, now it's head down looking at the ground, looking sideways, his gait looks downtrodden and depressed, he looks like he wants to disappear, he looks in pix not like he did before. Nowadays his pix to me are not Jake when he radiated energy and optimism, looking forward. Pix of Jake now are more of lethargic introversion, looking backwards. The contrast reminds me of that old song that has the line "life goes on after the thrill of living is gone." Jake is way too young to lose the glow, way too young.
I think it's exagerated.
