No word about the voice overs, or how Jake sounded. Having Tamina do the voice over seems like a interesting choice for an action adventure video game, but romantic tale. Not many movies uses a female voice for a voice over, and even less in a blockbuster. Inspired? or something else?

I listened to the Cantara interview. At least she is smart enough to know that the only thing that people care about in the G family is jakes sexuality. IF she sells any books it will be for that reason alone. Problem is she has no clue.
Saw photos of Austin Nichols & Sophia Bush from one of her friends weddings on August 30th.
She was in the wedding party.
I will say this, at least Austin Nichols looks happy in the photos, like he isn't ashamed and his smile is big and white, they look really cute together, happy.
Whatever their deal is you can at least see that they like and enjoy eachother.

The things they say, and the chemistry between them. There may not be anything going on, but they are certainly flirting, and flirting for the camera and the fans. Very interesting, and seems to reflect, perhaps, a more Gossip Girl-like direction for OTH.
I think there is no sense of shame because Sophia and Austin are good friends, and going out/letting people think they're a couple just to get some buzz for the show. Just like Robert and Austin playing it up in the videos to get some buzz for the show too.
I don't think they are or will see bearding ala Reeke out of them.
Just watched the video of Austin & Robert and yes they were playing around, but yes they also had great chemistry. There was also a moment where it looks like Robert ran his hand along Austin's arm for a moment. Reminded me of TDA when Austin's character brushes up against Jake's in that scene when it was totally uncalled for. A secret touch between lovers. Robert and Austin had a lot of eye contact with each other and those smiles! I would have to see more of them together but there could be something to the rumors. Robert is so Jakelike, its not funny.

Looks like they did show the interview with Austin the Daily 10 when yesterday when I was waiting out the game.
Rob and Austin are definitely having fun with their shirtless heartthrob status. Austin knows that people have talked about him never keeping his shirt on and Rob has a rep as well. They are going to play this one up.
Think being out of Hollywood and their own little place in Wilmy brings the cast closer.
And if you are in a wedding of a friend do you want to be the only single dateless girl there. No way, you find the cutest boy you know to go with. Austin is so that.
Austin and Robert are very, very cute together, messing around or not, they look like they're enjoying themselves.

From what I read I like what I am hearing about PoP.
I did find the thing about Gemma narrating both innovative and very intriguing, especially with such a male dominant cast. It could bring different voice and viewpoint to the genre.
The parkour sounds cool and want to see the Jake walk walls. And who expected a tiger. Is that Bruck's Michael Bay moment (remember Bay's phone ads)?

I still find it odd that Jake was not there for the preview. Still got to wonder why they're seemingly afraid to have him do any publicity for the film. With Jake now apparently in Brooklyn, doesn't sound like he was really needed in Pittsburgh.

Robert running up to Austin is so much like when Jake ran up to Jena Malone. With Robert you get a sense of playfulness and open affection that's been missing from Jake the last 3 years. I'm not just talking about romance either. The lunch hug with David O. Russell, the hug at the Oscars afterparty (I can't remember her name!) and the knuckle-knock with Mike White are the closest we've seen in 3 years of Jake to be like his old self. Robert-now is like a Jake-then. I can see why there could be friction, the good and the bad LOL, between the 3 of them if there is any.

Wow, been out all day. They close the pools and of course we are in for 80 degrees all week. It just figures.

And one of the main reasons Jake doesn't hold a candle to Robert Buckley right now is simply this.
You see Robert Buckley and he is alot of smiles, he's joking, he's playful, he's running around for gosh sakes, he's having fun in his life.
Jake? He's frowning. He's scowling. He's sulking. He's stiff arming the paps. He's not active on the screen. He has been absent now for how long and I know he's going to be on the screen in another couple of months, but man, it has been a huge drought. It's one thing to see someone scowling & solemn-faced constantly in pap pictures, it's a whole other thing to see someone talking in the media, active, having fun with their peers, working, and just looking like they are having a productive, active, fun life.
It's like night and day right now between these 2 guys. And I think seeing that video this morning has made me remember how Jake really used to be back when he caught my eye & I began googling the guy. I've gotten so used to his depressing life that when you see something like that video this morning, I was like "Wow!! There are stars out there who really are having fun day to day out there."
What a change from several years of looking at nose-in-the-air Reese and how she has totally rubbed off on unsuspecting Jake.
I remember Jake saying that he started Jarhead a boy and came out a man. And I think that's true.
Look at BBM and Jarhead filmed back to back and look how much he matured between just those two movies. Jake is never going to be young Jake, unless he has a picture in the attic or keeps a plastic surgeon on speed dial, and you know what that's ok with me. Just as Austin has grown out his boy look too.
I do like to see him with friends and Mags, and Austin because you can see how happy those people make him.
You know we've seen Austin just as friendly flirty with Hilary and Sophia, so I think its his natural personality with his friends. I think Austin's flashing his ring, tell me that there is only one man for him.
So when you mature you don't smile, laugh or have a good time again? You can't be relaxed, comfortable, playful, flirty or affectionate? When does this maturing start, tell me so I can kill myself before it happens.
How would you feel if your LTR hooked up with the younger more fun version of you? After all the things that you've gone through, the responsibilities you have (not work, but family) and the new version hasn't experience the quirks and traits that you gotten to experience from your partner.
Seriously Hell would have no fury. I can't imagine how devastated and crushed I would be.
No one is perfect, and Jake's far from it. Yeah things need to change, but I still wouldn't want that for anyone.

If they wanted to "prove" Jake was straight and thoroughly comfortable with both sexes and if ol' Ice Maiden wanted to show that she had "nothing to fear" from Jake being with Austin, they would let Jake and Austin be seen together a few times because they are indeed friends. And what do friends do? They do things together. They have guy time.
But the fact that they don't let Jake off of his leash and be seen with other male species, to me, only speaks louder than what they're trying to squash.

Saw this over on WFT2. The E critic was not taken with the POP trailer. "We saw some footage of Prince of Persia starring scorching hottie Jake Gyllenhaal, and ya know...not so great. Never judge a movie by its trailer and all, but Jake seemed kinda silly all beefed up and talking in a kooky English accent. It looked like The Mummy 2, but with more abs and stubble". Hmm, does not sound good. To Mummy 2 is exactly where some are worried Jake's career is headed.

Hey thanks for the Tom Ford Single Man trailer. It looks gorgeous in its look and filmmaking. I have read some great comments from people who have seen the preview of it and I don't think it completely done in post yet.

It's not just the absence of any pictures of Jake and Austin together that is the problem, although I totally agree with PG on everything she said about that, heck just about everything PG's said today. The first thing that popped into my mind after reading the discussion above is the contrast between Austin and his co-stars on the set of OTH, and the only photos of Jake we got from PoP was a Reeking. Same with Nailed.
It's the fact that we always see a grim, shame-filled, unhappy Jake with the baggy clothes and body language of a middle-aged man. That has absolutely nothing to do with being 28.
And I'm with PG, Jake didn't do this for Austin. He did it for himself and his career. I also think that if BT exists he did it for fear of being found out--not to protect BT, but because he thought he wouldn't get movie parts like PoP if it became known.
Jake has nobody but himself to blame if it turns people off. He decided to beard, he chose Reese (my disgust at the bearding is probably 50% due to the fact of how he chose, the tabloid nature of it all, the constant photos, the lack of any other people ) and he agreed to the terms of the bearding contract, including how often he is seen with her. travels to her film sets, etc.
That should be who he chose, not how. But it kind of works for how too. He could have chosen to have a few dates with models, startlets, etc.

great discussion today. i agree with PG as well. jake has brought this drought and darkness on himself by chosing to continue on with this charade. we're all sick to death of it, and i'm sure the regular public could give a rat's ass about either one of them. i actually saw one of the yogurt pics in a current mag, and it was as awful looking there as it was online.
i also kinda agree with anonymous about their take on chris. i always thought there was more to that than got discussed. he was his date for some pretty big events. i think jake was testing the waters with him and got cold feet. i liked him and miss seeing him around. honestly, i'd rather see jake with him than austin, who just doesn't do anything for me, for some reason.

There is no evidence that it was Chris at the lodge when it caught fire. And there has never been any chemistry between Chris and Jake that I've ever seen, more like brothers IMO. Plus, Ted has always made it clear that Gray Goose is an actor, and is Austin.

I think that Jake's boyfriend was actually Chris Fisher (who has been shoved to the side), he moved from coast to coast with Jake, was in Austin with him, went to toronto with him and for the most part at a time lived w/him in both LA and NYC. They were in MV together, photographed in Austin, Texas and other places. When Reese was in NYC and Toronto with Jake, so was Chris Fisher.
When was the last time you saw Chris Fisher? they used to shop together as well.
I'm betting that Austin Nichols gets married and has kids before Jake (because I don't think that is happening for Jake&Reese, if they are in love there is no excuse for the lack of wedding and baby).

Ok, I was curious enough about Robert Buckley to look him up on IMDB. His nickname is supposedly Buckles lol, and he's 6'2. Sounds like he's smart as well as good-looking: he has a degree in economics from U.C. San Diego and worked as an economic consultant before trying his hand at acting and modeling.
Regarding his personal life, to directly quote IMDB, "His personal life, however, is somewhat quiet. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his loved ones. In the love line, Robert is rumored to be dating his Lipstick Jungle co-star, Lindsay Price. " I guess now we can just substitute his OTH co-star Shantel.

Jake is with Reese at this poing in his life. Most of you should be looking at the Logo channel which is talking about sexuality and bisexuality, especially from a male point of view. Most of you will and cannot comprehend this. If Jake is gay or bi or straight, it's quite obvious that he has chosen to be with Reese. As soon as most of you are able to accept this without ridiculing him and his every move, you can move on. The need for Jake or Austin to please you all is insane. Jake, Reese, Austin and Ted knows this, it's just disgusting for Jake and would be for anyone of you if you were in his shoes.

Just look at that fan event, Austin is sitting right next to Sophia (whom he is rumored to be dating) he was photographed right next to her during the press for OTH in NYC just a few weeks ago.
But they aren't walking the carpet as couple or out as a couple ..
Yet Austin seems to be a ease and ok with sitting next to her, taking photos with her for their shows promotion. Now if this was Reese and Jake, they have to be sat at opposite sides of the table, cannot walk carpets together for projects and so on.
It's to extreme and to un-natural.
Who wants to live a dual life like that. You would never find Jake blogging on the net or posting projects he is working on like Austin. You would never see Reese answering questions with the ease Sophia does.
Jake has lost something, something genuine, that Austin still has, he is still original.

ASDF - There was something who had twitter a few weeks ago about auditioning for some looping/vo work for Jake. But it does sound like replace his voice like some thought. Maybe the loop was to fix pieces here and there that they want the need to do with the other special effects thing.
The person who said Chris was Jake's bf. You can go that route, not sure a lot of people here would agree. Couple of things I would point out. MV is were Chris grew up and lives now. NYC was were he worked and lived, and when he was out in LA, was when his former and then boss, Mario Batali was opening Mozza. Just something to think about.
Austin has fibbed on so much about what he can and can't do for parts, his height fibbing was a given. And come on the tall Texan is 6'4, but saying that is not going him many parts, they would toss him out as too tall, 6'2" helped him get a call back. Then his acting could help him get the part.

I always thought Jake and Chris were lovers as teenagers, probably experimented together. Jake worked as a busboy one summer. Don't tell me he could not get a better job with his connections. He did it to have a chefs work schedule. He even said in an interview once he did it for a close friend. He and Chris remained friends but the chemistry is long gone except for maybe an occasional friends with benefits episode. But the one Jake was going to come out for was Goose, who is a fellow actor, AKA Austin. Remember they took one look at each other at the TAD audition and that was that. Jake did run to Chris during that first messy breakup with Austin, but as a friend, not a lover.
It seems pretty clear they wanted Jake out of town during the Disney thing. The voice, the accent most likely the issue. If Jake was there, should he use the POP accent or his own voice. What if they want to dub it later because it is too hokey. Better to avoid the issue for now.
