The Tour de France is 3,500 kilometres (2,200 mi) and 21 days of stages or trials. It is a test of endurance. Some are uphill battles, some are full of twists of turns, narrow ro
ads, treacherous downhill races, time trials, and breakaways. In the Tour De France teams work together to reach the goal, they need each other to get a victory. The goal each day is who wears the yellow jersey, who's ahead, but that is not always the same person. In the palaton, there is jocking for position and doing what you can to overcome you opponent. Sometimes the palaton runs smoothly, all the teams doing what they need to do to sure victory. Many times the person at the head of the team is there to make sure the that best chance for the team exceeds, taking on the resistance head on for their team members. Sometimes along the way there is something on the course that cause upheaval and accidents with riders down, thrown off , and sometimes hurt. But you see team members help each other or tell the others to go own to get the goal they set for that day. Some days the infighting in the palaton cause the most injuries and riders down.
The Tour de Toothy is not much different. It is a long test of endurance, broke up into daily stages, tests and trials. The wearer of the yellow jersey is different each day, but the goal is still ahead. The paths and roads can narrow, can be climbs up mountains that are so steep, or going downhill so fast you are afraid you are going to wipe out, there are twist and turns, and narrow roads that squeeze, and broad roads that let everyone spread out. It is if you are going to let the bumps and things that come in the road throw you, if the teams is there to pick you up, or you are the one in the team that's going to help, or letting the other teams trying to upset yours and push you out of the race, or is it just finishing the race. Your choice, the tour is still going to be there.

I just want to be clear on this.
We are to believe that Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter S, Naomi Gyllenhaal, Ryan Phillippe, his girlfriend, his family, Reese's mother and other friends we have seen them out and about with are all in on this bearding thing.
That they are all supportive and playing roles just so that Jake can continue his career and move toward the A-list without the world learning the truth about him.
That he is gay. Even subjecting young children, Reese's children and Maggies daughter to this fake romance. Even going as far as hanging out in Brooklyn together and making sure somebody snaps a photo of them with a cell-phone.
On the flip side dozen's of people who live in wilmington NC, all the cast and crew and friends of Sophia's are all supporting and lying as well, to keep Austin's secret and promote a 7 yr CW show that draws a little over 2.5million viewers.
It's one thing to beard, it happens. But it's another thing when families, children, and cast and crew as well as citizens of a small town are all in on it. It's those things that make this way to extreme and not believable.
It's to extreme at this point, it's gone far beyond typical bearding. Several no-name girlfriends (see George Clooney) would have done the task.

Look, I used to be a regular poster on this site and the orignal WFT site, but rational thinking has to prevail. Not just some fantasy to make you feel good. I do not think Jake's whole family is in on anything. Nor do I think others Jake or Reese know would go so far as to keep the secret from ((OMG or WFT2)). There are things and people more important.
It's one thing to champion gay causes and stand up, but at the end of the day, it's nobody life but his and hers. That being said, I think Special does a wonderful job at being a devoted Jake and Austin fan with balance, tact and kindness. I don't have to have her beliefs, the beliefs that I had some time ago. I do tip my hat to her. It is the nasty mean spirited ones who just can't deal with anything but Jake = gay, bearding and he hurt the gay cause. And some just for pure fantasy of a male on male sex fantasy. There is gay male porn for that!! But I guess you need the romance huh. I've been called a troll and babbler because of my playing devil's advocate with some situations and analysis of Jake's situation. But I still admire him as a fan. BrokeBack Mountain did this for me and it won't change. However, as everyones life changes if you are on this earth long enough, I have to say that it is clear evidence to "ME" that things have changed and they changed some time ago.
I really feel, "and a feeling is not a fact", that Jake and Austin had a relationship that was more than regular buddies. I now feel that it has moved on. Still like the both of them and will watch for whatever they are working on or a part of. Especially Jake.........

I really think that unless someone is blatantly nasty and attacking people here and exhibiting trollish behavior that there really is no reason to fling the word about. Ignore the post, or deal with their arguments.

Wow, I just saw where Penske nixed the deal to acquire Saturn and so GM is going to put Saturn 6 ft under. Kind ofsad - it must be heartbreaking to alot of employees who were counting on the sale to go through. Saturn had the right idea on things but man, they sold me two cars that had warranty problems and I said never again. I had one of those 3 door coups in black. Man, was that thing sexy looking. I once had someone tell me it looked sexy from behind. And it did, lol.

If one is indeed a "Long Time" anything, then experience should be the guide. Been here long enough to know that posting comments telling others to: lose the fantasy, get a life, stop drinking the kool-aid are old staples dating all the way back to the WFT age.

And why?
The people on OMG are here because they believe in Jake and Austin as a couple. They did not arrive at this decision during this morning's dental hygiene regime, nor in a complete information vacuum. Each poster, whether vocal or not, whether still teething or dirt old, is here because of thoughtful reflection and, in their minds at least, the overwhelming preponderence of evidence pointing right to Reeke is fake, Jake is gay, and Austin is the lucky one to regularly see that naked.
You don't believe - fine. Go and be free! But, let it be known, if posting on OMG is a twisted moral imperitive, that the ears are here by choice, and are wearyly accumstomed to all the tricks, and oh, so cognizant of arrogant, empty proselytizing.

i don't post here as much as i used to because, like many of us have said on more than one occasion, i'm just kinda tired of watching the bore fest that jake's life has become. i love to write my bbm fanfic and i also think that focusing so much on jake took the wind out of my sails for writing. once i was able to really really really let go of my obsessive interest in him, the muse started to poke her head back out, and i've enjoyed that most of all. i haven't ditched all my interest in jake, obviously, but i'm just in wait and see mode. when reeke finally ends, then maybe i'll start watching with a bit more interest. until then, i'm just gonna be a casual observer.
however, even understanding how being obsessed can make you stupid - since i'm the poster child for that - i still don't understand why it draws folks over here to bash us for out beliefs and feelings about him. we are so irrelevant to anything outside of this little spot in cyberspace. we aren't passing out flyers in airports or taking out ads in magazines or sending out mass emails around the world that jake is gay and reeke is fake.
so why is it such a thorn in folks side that we refuse to cowtow to the company line? for the life of me, i just don't get that. why does anyone care what i think about Jake Gyllenhaal??? how can that possibly matter???

I just watched the most hilarious video that my lil buddy sent me. It's called Old Ladies Party or something like that and it's taken in somebody's back yard. A bunch of older women playing a game where one woman has a roll of toilet paper between her legs with the hole pointed out and her partner comes down the line with a toilet plunger tucked between her legs and she has to get the stick part into the middle of the roll of toilet paper.
Oh my dog, it was so funny, my sister & I were crying we were laughing so hard. There's not anything so funny as when a bunch of women get together, is there? LOL, that thing was hilarious.

I'd love to know why someone gets so worked up over us; it could be so many things, and I think over time we've been visited by people who fall into all of the following categories.
Some people are threatened by opposing viewpoints because they don't like to have their own beliefs challenged.
Some people just get their kicks out of trolling, and if it wasn't us it would be someone else and some other issue.
I think one of the posters could be pr trying to grind us down because they won't be happy until all traces of gay is gone, for fear that new people will stumble on us and question Reeke.
I also think one of the persons doing this is probably a closeted gay man who has his own issues, and looks to the way Jake beards, hides (and, according to him, only has fuck buddies and no relationships) to validate his own self-loathing and hiding. I also think he has problems with women and getting older.
Oh, and then there are the "good fans" who think they have to convert everyone in order to save our (and Jake's) soul. I guess they think they're going to be rewarded some day, in some way.

There must be a good reason why people are so dedicated to disrupting OMG, and WFT2, since the commenter seems to attack both sites alternating between the 2. Who knew we could be so powerful. It just makes me more committed than ever. Keep in mind that while our numbers are small, the comments Jake gets on other generic sites barely register. The Jake is straight contingent is not that big either. Unfortunately, it is the we don't care whit about Jake contingent that is huge.
As for some of the earlier comments about Reeke, no one here is saying Jake and Reese don't know each other and are not on and off again friends. It's apparent that Reese has no other friends or men interested in her, so spending time with Jake is a no-brainer. She has nothing better to do and needs to look like she could land another man. Otherwise who would believe her in a roncom role.

LOL, someone pointed out the guy with the squirt bottle. Now why did they have to do that? Here I thought that might have been Jake's own sweat. That's funny seeing that guy squirting him as he goes by. I reckon they do that kind of thing in all movies all the time; it's always just kind of disillusioning. I reckon if I stood on the sideline of a filming, I'd see all sorts of things that would be disillusioning. Like fake snow.
I've always wondered though in scenes where it's raining or storming. Do they wait until the weather is actually doing that? Think about that scene in BBM when Ennis wakes up to a snowstorm. Or the hailstorm in the tent. How did they do that?
