Tonight on The Crazy Tree

“The Drinks We Drank Last Night” (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

It's Girls Gone Wild for BrookeDavis'(TM) bachelorette party. Hung over and foggy Mama Baker and the girl try to piece together the night before amidst the wreckage and liquid libations : tramp stamps,(where's Jake!) piercings, bullriding, bootdrinking and bulldogs riding skateboards. Oh and BrookeDavis(TM) loses that rock of a ring that Julian gave her. (Maybe she's trading it in for two rocks. His.) What is the rest of the cast doing? Who cares! It's all about BrookeDavis(TM). Sure Julian is folding napkins and practicing his karaoke of "Hopelessly Devoted to You" as a soprano. (and not in Tony Soprano kind of way)

Get out and Ride - it's Two Wheel Tuesday.

Like his character, Nichols is also contentedly in love. Die-hard fans of One Tree Hill already know that he and girlfriend and co-star Bush kept extremely busy during the series' long winter hiatus.

Well, TV Guide got the first part right. Glad to see Austin getting some much deserved attention. I liked his quote about people you work with, "This is a strange business. You do a show or a movie and you get close with people and all of a sudden they're gone,"

Sounds an awful lot like one of Jake's quotes about how you can fool yourself into thinking the people you work with are your family, but they're not?

Cannibalism in Russia
Apparently, this went on a lot during the famine in the 1920s. It's something that no one is suppose to talk about over there. People would return home with meat, and no one would ask questions. Even the children were sent out to look for people who had died from starvation.

Has anyone read about this? Quite disturbing.

"In his book The Gulag Archipelago Solzhenitsyn described cases of cannibalism in 20th-century USSR. Of the famine in Povolzhie (1921"1922) he wrote: "That horrible famine was up to cannibalism, up to consuming children by their own parents " the famine, which Russia had never known even in Time of Troubles [in 1601"1603]...""

Dear Ted:
I am sure nothing shocks you since you have seen or heard it all in this town of freaks, but can you tell me, in this last year has there been one Blind Vicer with behavior so shocking or bad that it has caused a physical or emotional reaction for you? Tell me who--I want to know if mine is the same:) XOXO

Dear Shocked:
Like, all of the above Blind Vicers, obviously. There is, however, a special hole in my heart that dies over and over again every time Toothy decided to make a dumb-ass decision.

The mainstream LGBT Agenda has succeeded in marketing the message of gays as overwhelmingly rich, white, male, and living in urban areas. Stories like these two prove that it is not reality, but I think that image is hurting the movement.

There is a real racial schism in the gay community, and until it is honestly breached, we'll continue to have these issues.

I'm very actively involved in LGBT issues on a local and national level. I've been in the room with the president as well as very powerful people in the movement that are much discussed here.

Some of these are people that will breeze past me or look right through me like I don't even exist until my credentials and resume are "verified.". Until then I'm just another brown face to be sized up and discarded.

You can deny, deny, deny, but that experience is real, and I know I'm not the only gay person of color who's experienced it while being the lone black or brown face in the room in the fight for LGBT rights.

The longer we keep pretending there's no problem, the more insidious it will become.
