PG, that was a heartfelt post about Nikki - I'm sorry to hear it. It's very sad to lose one of our beloved animal friends.

I've always hated this song with a passion, but it does kind of crack me up with this post.

Guess Soapy had to throw the fangirls a bone. Don't for a minute think they were hanging during the holidays or we'd gotten some leaked photos, or a photo ala the Madrid trip for the wedding on their twitter accounts.

Strawberry Shortcake lunch box.

The sparkly murse he got from BBC Radio 1

Another Speedo this time he's got wearing under his clothes not instead of them.

Natalie Portmans' baby.

and #1 a can of vanilla frosting and a Santa Hat - Happy Epiphany.

This is a little bit of about Jake's visit at Sloan Kettering from a link on ONTD.

While we were waiting for Ronan to come out of anesthesia, there was a big fuss around the hospital. I quickly learned that Jake Gyllenhaal was going to come by to say hello to the kids. He showed up for about 2 hours and was so adorable. He took pictures with the kids, talked to parents, etc…. As he was getting ready to leave, our little Olivia ran up to him and handed him a Rockstar Ronan card and the naughty version of his Rockstar Ronan bracelet. Olivia pointed to where Liz and I were sitting and Jake came over to say hello and talked to us for about 5 minutes. He was so sweet and adorable. He put on Ronan’s bracelet and said he was going to wear it and took one look at Ronan’s picture and told us how beautiful he was. Which we all already know, but it was very sweet of him to say and to take the time to talk with us. You can tell he really is a nice person and he totally made all of the kids’ and mom’s day today:) Not to mention, Liz, who was over the moon to say the least:) Maybe he will rock the Rockstar Ronan bracelet on the red carpet and help us raise awareness for childhood cancer:) He seems like he has a very good heart.

You can read the read about Ronan here. Rock Star Ronan

Hmmm. I wonder why Special might have posted that photo with today's song? Another Happy Birthday, perhaps?

Awful Truth: Ted calls out Toothy (Friday, January 8, 2009)

Pigs in Blankets for Toothy?

When we announced that Toothy Tile won our user-voted year-end awards, the Prop 88s (88 celebrity propositions we want passed, including T. Tile coming out of his very dusty closet), we suggested a lovely ceremony at the Beverly Hilton to make it official. You know, award him with an actual trophy instead of a trophy girlfriend, that sort of sensible thing.

We chose Oct. 11, National Coming Out Day, can't think why. Next thing you know, the senior catering manger from the damn Hilton emails us and wants to know if we really are booking the joint? I said I'd ask.

Toothy? Is it a date?

Ted says, (Saturday, January 9, 2010)

Is there a second Baby Tile in the Tile-Goose family?

Dear Bundle of Joy:
Their family is constantly expanding, in many ways.

What's Reese Got to do With Jake and Taylor's Breakup?

It wasn't exactly a shocker when we spilled that Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift ended their relatively short coupling. Come on, just look at the timeline of their hardly hot hookups. Not exactly hot goings-on there.

But still, the romance served a purpose, right? Jake had a movie to sell (Love and Other Drugs) and Taylor had an album to promote, with her sung-about-man slot needing to be filled. What a far more respectable replacement for sometimes sleazy John Mayer than the sweetie, dimpled-dude Jake, right?

Wrong. Taylor perhaps didn't choose so wisely on that one.

Even thought reps for Gyllenhaal and Swift would not comment, sources close to the 21-year-old singer confirm the country gal was "very taken" with Jake's movie-man status—Hollywood stars in her eyes and all that biz. (Think Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise here.) She forgot to look past Jake's very winning charm and his impossibly seductive smile.

Because, if she had, she would have seen the ghost of crafty Reese Witherspoon, who's still very much a thorn in Gyllenhaal's side.

"[Jake] was really caught off guard and taken aback by how Reese ended it," claims a source close to the 30-year-old hunk. "Honestly, he's still reeling from that."

So much so that he can't move on with a pretty, wholesome, albeit ambitious young gal?

"Perhaps," considered our trusty Gyllenhaal insider. "Let's just say Jake was surprised by all the attention [he found with Taylor], and the last thing he wanted was another public, surprise breakup. Taylor's young, you just don't know what could have happened. He needed to contain it, before it went any further. He's just not in that relationship space right now."

Hmmm, not sure Taylor would have pulled another icy Reese-like split on the Jakey, but you never know.

Obviously, Swift never shows all her cards in love, right?

Or perhaps the writer of "Dear John" does?

Well played, Mr. Buckley. Now, if only....

Boston Herald Sportswriter Steve Buckley: 'I'm Gay'

...But I’ve put this off long enough. I haven’t been fair to my family, my friends or my co-workers. And I certainly haven’t been fair to myself: For too many years I’ve been on the sidelines of Boston’s gay community but not in the game —figuratively and literally, as I feel I would have had a pretty good career in the (gay) Beantown Softball League....But during this same period, I have read sobering stories about people who came undone, killing themselves after being outed. These tragic events helped guide me to the belief that if more people are able to be honest about who they are, ultimately fewer people will feel such devastating pressure.

It's my hope that from now on I’ll be more involved. I’m not really sure what I mean by being “involved,” but this is a start: I’m gay.

Steve Buckley is a good sports writer. Nice to see this happen for him.

I remember I was on the same flight from Boston to KC with Buckley who was going out for Pats vs. Chiefs Monday Night Football, we were both reading Moneyball and gave a little nod to the other boarding.

Hmmmm.....Maybe Jake is caring Julian and Brooke's baby. Julian did tell Brooke he would give her a baby.

What's Jake carrying? My guess is both eco-friendly and amazingly versatile. The perfect product for a "constantly expanding" Family Tile. Talk about conspicuous consumption! (C'mon, you know that Audi has space for 7.)

Brought over from this morning:

This is one thing that is really irritating me about Jake and Austin right now. And that is what he and Austin are doing, have been doing for the last near decade of their lazyass lives.

And I say lazyass as no reference to their professional work ethic. I'm talking about them personally and the way they use people, they use their family and they use their friends to do their lying for them. They lie themselves and seem to have no conscience about it, no regrets, no trouble lying. It's become easier and easier, hasn't it, fellas? Was probably very hard at first years ago.

Now? Not so much. Watch it - you're probably at the point already where you don't even know your way back.

Austin made just enough of an effort to tweet about poles and hills. Soap will take care of the rest, just like a good little beard.

That's what these guys are doing and it's getting sickening. They are putting out the minimalist effort and they are letting everyone else do all their work for them. Maggie, Latrine, Anne, Soap, I can't think of her name right now the girl who plays Alex on OTH, Austin's parents, Gwyneth Paltrow, and don't worry, this list is mighty long, these are recent accomplices and club members of Operation Straight or Bust.

prairiegirl said...

Sorry, I am not going to be deterred or bought off by a well-timed visit of Jake's nor by someone's birthday today.

Because you can probably bet PR is right now going over prospects for the next beard: blond, of course.

All of the crap floating around out there about Jake being put off by the publicity and attention is one word:

it's bullshit.

Plain and simple. It's bullshit and I'm not buying his image anymore. He's a con artist and what he and Austin are doing is like playing kingpins while the minions do most of the dirty work.

Am I pissed? Yeah, I'm pissed. I'm tired of getting played and getting lied to. Tired of getting treated like I'm stupid. Because I'm not. I'm not a fool.

Sorry for the language but I'm just dadgum stinkin' mad.

prairiegirl said...

Sorry, Seaweed but I have to tell anyone who calls me, I just cannot get up fast enough to pick up my phone.

I miss all my calls because it takes awhile to get out of wherever I'm sitting so I don't bang the furniture with my stupid boot and then I have to try and walk to wherever my phone is.

You don't really want to talk to me right now anyway - not with the mood I'm in. This girl is not feeling it for these two nitwits right now.

Seaweed said...

Hey PG !

Sorry, I forgot about you being mobility challenged with the boot and all, hope you'll soon be back on both good legs. Just calm down and let the healing happen... I'll try again another time.

And my Nan used to have some advice for us when any of us got steamed about something... and it's good advice for you right now, even if you don't want to hear it.
So, "dont get your water hot, you'll burn your kidneys" !

And since today is Old Christmas, I'm hoping everyone has enjoyed the 12 days of Christmas. My tree can come down now, and this weekend will see a bare but fresh new look in my living room.

G'night all.

It's Little Christmas to me - and yup it is the day that the tree and all the decorations come down, and to still give presents under the deadline and not be "late".

You'd think that Austin having the pair and the spare would be the one for this.

prairiegirl said...

Yeah, sorry about my steam, Seaweed. I don't get it, though. What about the kidneys?

I'm still steamed, though. And in honor of the two lazyassward Jake & Austin, my avatar is sporting the latest in leather comfort for them - the American recliner. While all their friends, peers and family are doing it all for them except for a few comfort tweets, photo op calls and bullcrap interviews, they can both squeeze their peaches & cream asses into this badass recliner and watch it all unfold from the comfort of their home.

prairiegirl said...

This has nothing to do with how brief Jaylor was or how under the radar Jake has been or how little Austin is participating in Sophin.

Actually, in a way it does. Because those 3 points have everything to do with how these 2 guys are operating right now.

Anne acts as Jake's interview bodyguard. Latrine started this entire Straight Campaign in June with his "oh please people stop calling Jake gay" blurt. Say whaaaaaa? Who was even talking about it, Latrine? You're the one who brought it up! And up and up again. Soap carries on playing make believe house for TV and rags, playing drama queen that everyone's hacking into her's and every tom, dick & harry who's close to her's email accounts so she has an excuse to have set-up photos "leaked". Jake is governed, protected and cocooned by every woman in his life, and now even his niece Ramona is not even innocent of this. She was drawn into it through no choice of her own.

The twitter sized duration of Jaylor was a joke. It was an insult to even the rags. It was a waste of everyone's time, ink & toner, trips to the Recycling Center and certainly a waste of everyone involved's energy.

Not to mention a waste of fuel and Memory Card Space for the Kodak disposable that took those ridiculous sidewalk Jake & Taylor Are in Love pictures.

prairiegirl said...

Jaylor was just a totally disrespectful way to treat everyone: the media, the fans, their peers, their profession and their family.

And the fact that both guys hawk their movies, their TV shows, their cd's, T-shirts, Legos, etc. to the general public (their fans), gives that market the right to ask for respectful treatment and truth.

But to be treated like everyone is brainless, gullible and no more than well-worn carpet - that's what has me steamed tonight.

Dear Ted:
So now that Taylor Swift has ended her romance with Jake Gyllenhaal, what kind of song do you think she will write about their time together? A gooey love song or something with a pretty candy shell but dead on the inside?
--cjc1

Dear John or Jake:
How ‘bout neither? Taylor's as crafty as they come, don't underestimate her sometimes candy-coated appeal. She knows damn well the world's expecting a thinly veiled song about Jake. That's exactly why she'll make everybody wait for it.
