Another Tommy Tuesday

Tommy Wheeler isn't the only Tommy there is for Austin, let's not forget Tommy Donnelly and his brother Sean in San Patricios.

It's been since last summer since Austin worked on the movie and we haven't heard much since so an update is in order.

Recently Austin's co-star Patrick John Flueger was seen at BAM Studios to record ADR for the movie ( looping dialogue).  BAM described the movie as a drama centered on the lives of two brothers who go through experiences that test the bonds of family and loyalty.

Patrick came to BAM to record some additional dialogue for his role as main character Sean Donnelly.

In August director Sean McGinly posted that he was editing the movie and just about had a rough cut ready that they were going to start to show to friends and trusted advisors.

By December he posted they were "just about done with post production" and submitted to a few film festivals for consideration.

San Patricios is set for a 2014 release.

Olympics for ALL Moment:

Stolichnaya, a vodka once closely associated with Russia but actually bottled in Latvia, has given $150,000 to the Russian Freedom Fund.
According to its website, the Russian Freedom Fund "is a U.S. tax deductible vehicle for making financial contributions in support of the LGBT movement in Russia and efforts to combat discrimination and violence there based on sexual orientation and gender identity. One hundred percent of all donations will be paid out as grants. This initiative responds to growing concerns about recent state-sponsored discrimination in Russia and expresses solidarity between the international LGBT community and allies, and the Russian LGBT movement."

Sooo, Chris and I got rained out last night, so we decided to go to the casino with some friends from work. As we're walking in to the casino we saw all these makeup and wardrobe trailers lined up outside. Turns out Ryan Reynolds was there shooting a new movie, Mississippi Grind, and they were filming a casino scene. He was just a few feet away from us filming. It was pretty damn cool!

Mississippi Grinder producer??

Religion: a license to hate, and discriminate. Republicans in the Kansas House passed an anti-gay bill Tuesday that would allow individuals and groups, including government employees, to discriminate against gay and lesbian couples on the basis of their religious beliefs.

Time reports House Bill 2453 would allow hotels, restaurants, stores and other businesses in the state to refuse to serve gay couples if “it would be contrary to their sincerely held religious beliefs.” The bill would also allow government clerks to refuse to sign same-sex marriage licenses without threat of a lawsuit.

The bill says governmental entities can’t require individuals, businesses or religious groups to provide services, facilities, goods or employment benefits related to any marriage or domestic partnership. It also prohibits anti-discrimination lawsuits on such grounds.

Republican supporters say the bill is designed to protect religious liberty. Yet the bill clearly promotes discrimination against gays and lesbians, and encourages government officials to ignore court rulings favoring gay marriage.

Republicans in Kansas are not trying to protect religious liberty, they are trying to punish gay and lesbian couples. In the end, the obnoxious bill represents nothing but the pathetic efforts of frightened and ugly conservative Christians desperately trying to preserve and justify their bigotry and hatred.
