So sweet!

You can bet that Austin and Chloe had HOTTTT Valentine's. Fingers crossed they'll get married soon.

Wow Jack a little obsessed with Austin aren't you?

Admit it you're upset that it wasn't just Austin on Austin Friday. - I know how you love to keep count.

No maybe I'm bi, or I still like men, like other actresses have recently. She was as definitive as some of the characters she's played.

Ellen Page comes out.

The whole family is crazy if you think about it. They act as if they are Hollywood royalty when in reality they are past their prime. They have absolutely no idea how Hollywood works anymore.

Firstly, do people really care about Maggie anymore? Don't get me wrong, I am only a few years younger so I know that she was a big deal in the early-mid 2000s but that was 10 years ago, yet there she is orchestrating a reality for the public that couldn't care less about her. If she were to divorce, nobody would bat an eyelid. Maybe she should save some money and fire her PR people and focus on her children. I am incredibly worried about Ramona as she always appears SO unhappy in paparazzi pictures -the same photographers that her own mother calls!

Jake is being totally misguided by his team/family, you have to feel sorry for him. The whole twitter/instagram fiasco is embarrassing. Either do or do not, but don't use your beard to send messages to your fans. By the way, does Jake still have "fans"? Which brings me to ask, why does his team constinuously update us about his (fake) filming schedule? Seriously, is there anybody on earth who cares about Jake Gyllenhaal's filming schedule? I have yet to see a celebrity whose working hours are so heavily promoted. I could not tell you what project Christian Bale is working on right now, or Daniel Day Lewis' whereabouts, not even Ryan Gosling... but rest assured that I have heard every single detail about the filming of Everest.

Finally, I have heard that Jake is an idiot to people who approach him. Is this true? I heard that he refused to talk to fans during the European promotion for Prisoners and left Hugh to do all the work.

Hate the closet said...

You can see why Hollywood wants to keep everyone in the closet. People are already looking back on Ellen Page's "dating" history and noting that she was pushed heavily with Alexander Skarsgard back in 2013.

In fact, they were supposed to have been together for over one year, complete with pap pics of them at the airport, red carpet pics, and a "loved up" twitter pic on Buzzfeed.

So when people say that Jake can't be gay because we've seen stories, tweets, photos "with" Kirsten, Reese, Alyssa" or Austin was with Sophia Bush, or Louis Tomlinson had Hannah and now "Eleanor" or Harry Styles slept with 410 women in one year, you can see how completely wrong they can be. PR stunts are everywhere, particularly when it comes to hiding the gay.

And, by the way, I've always found it amusing when those people, who let's say are convinced that Harry slept with 410 women in twelve months, are tagged as sensible. Yet, somehow those who have eyes and ears, and determine he's gay and being pushed into the closet by Management are bullied and chastised for their delusional thinking.

We are also told to believe, without question, that Austin Nichols had two women who he "dated for 6-7 years each, yet never married or had children. Now, we have him associated with an untalented child (who is probably gay herself) and being told to believe he's straight and wants to be her Valentine. Utterly, laughable.

Please don't even get me started on Mr. Gyllenhaal. We could be here for weeks discussing his pathetic stunts.

Time To Thrive

Thank you Chad, for those kind words and for the even kinder work that you and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation do every day -- especially on behalf of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people here and across America.

It's such an honor to be here at the inaugural Time to THRIVE conference. But it's a little weird, too. Here I am, in this room because of an organization whose work I deeply admire. And I'm surrounded by people who make it their life's work to make other people's lives better -- profoundly better. Some of you teach young people. Some of you help young people heal and to find their voice. Some of you listen. Some of you take action. Some of you are young people yourselves... in which case, it's even weirder for a person like me to be speaking to you.

It's weird because here I am, an actress, representing -- at least in some sense -- an industry that places crushing standards on all of us. Not just young people, but everyone. Standards of beauty. Of a good life. Of success. Standards that, I hate to admit, have affected me. You have ideas planted in your head, thoughts you never had before, that tell you how you have to act, how you have to dress and who you have to be. I have been trying to push back, to be authentic, to follow my heart, but it can be hard.

But that's why I'm here. In this room, all of you, all of us, can do so much more together than any one person can do alone. And I hope that thought bolsters you as much as it does me. I hope the workshops you'll go to over the next few days give you strength. Because I can only imagine that there are days -- when you've worked longer hours than your boss realizes or cares about, just to help a kid who you know can make it. Days where you feel completely alone. Undermined. Or hopeless.

HRC speech con't said...

I know there are people in this room who go to school every day and get treated like shit for no reason. Or you go home and you feel like you can't tell your parents the whole truth about yourself. Beyond putting yourself in one box or another, you worry about the future. About college or work or even your physical safety. Trying to create that mental picture of your life -- of what on earth is going to happen to you -- can crush you a little bit every day. It is toxic and painful and deeply unfair.

Sometimes it's the little, insignificant stuff that can tear you down. I try not to read gossip as a rule, but the other day a website ran an article with a picture of me wearing sweatpants on the way to the gym. The writer asked, "Why does [this] petite beauty insist upon dressing like a massive man?"

Because I like to be comfortable. There are pervasive stereotypes about masculinity and femininity that define how we are all supposed to act, dress and speak. They serve no one. Anyone who defies these so-called 'norms' becomes worthy of comment and scrutiny. The LGBT community knows this all too well.

Yet there is courage all around us. The football hero, Michael Sam. The actress, Laverne Cox. The musicians Tegan and Sara Quinn. The family that supports their daughter or son who has come out. And there is courage in this room. All of you.

I'm inspired to be in this room because every single one of you is here for the same reason. You're here because you've adopted as a core motivation the simple fact that this world would be a whole lot better if we just made an effort to be less horrible to one another. If we took just 5 minutes to recognize each other's beauty, instead of attacking each other for our differences. That's not hard. It's really an easier and better way to live. And ultimately, it saves lives.

Then again, it's not easy at all. It can be the hardest thing, because loving other people starts with loving ourselves and accepting ourselves. I know many of you have struggled with this. I draw upon your strength and your support, and have, in ways you will never know.

HRC speech con't said...

I'm here today because I am gay. And because... maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility.

I also do it selfishly, because I am tired of hiding and I am tired of lying by omission. I suffered for years because I was scared to be out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered and my relationships suffered. And I'm standing here today, with all of you, on the other side of that pain. I am young, yes, but what I have learned is that love, the beauty of it, the joy of it and yes, even the pain of it, is the most incredible gift to give and to receive as a human being. And we deserve to experience love fully, equally, without shame and without compromise.

There are too many kids out there suffering from bullying, rejection, or simply being mistreated because of who they are. Too many dropouts. Too much abuse. Too many homeless. Too many suicides. You can change that and you are changing it.

But you never needed me to tell you that. That's why this was a little bit weird. The only thing I can really say is what I've been building up to for the past 5 minutes. Thank you. Thank you for inspiring me. Thank you for giving me hope, and please keep changing the world for people like me.

Happy Valentine's Day. I love you.

That's great about Ellen Page.

I'm not so sure about how talk there was about her and Skarsgaard, I thought it was just the tabloids making up stuff and not bearding.

Some people thought she was sort of being out with a skit she did when she hosted SNL a few years back.

They've been dating for a year, and their romance seems to be going from strength to strength. Cuddling up to each other as they kicked back in a San Francisco park, the Swedish actor could be seen planting a tender kiss on his girlfriend's cheek as she reclined happily in his arms."

Skarsgard denied several times he was dating Ellen Page, he repeated several times they were just friends ,and he was single and did not want to date anyone in the showbiz ever again , that's a photo taken from the set of the movie that Peter and Ellen were shooting together, in fact the pic was twitted by the director of the movie and retwitted by Ellen

Twitted and retwitted?

Actually, if you simply Google Ellen Page and ASkars, looks like there was plenty of that smoke to make a decent fire of "are they or aren't they". Followers of the Jake and Austin Comedy Show should well recognize all the headline titles that make up a possible fauxmance or rumors thereof.

So please spare me the straight facts line.

Alexander Skarsgard And Ellen Page Aren’t Doing It

The other day, a picture from Twitter of ASkars and Ellen Page looking like two members of a denim gang cuddling after robbing a Levi’s made the rounds and The Daily Mail (aka the only news source you can trust to deliver the one hundred percent truthiness) said they’ve been dating for over a year. This caused millions of people (no, it didn’t) to Google the question “Does Alexander Skarsgard have a vagina we don’t know about?” because whores sprained their brains while trying to picture ASkars and Ellen Page as a for real couple. But according to one of People’s sources, they aren’t having hot midget giant sex.

Some source tells People that ASkars and Ellen are only friends and they’re not double bearding for each other and she’s not using his lighting rod dick to do chin-ups while warming up for fuck times with him. They are only friends who go to hockey games with each other and cuddle in San Francisco parks together.

True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard Is Not Dating Ellen Page, Says They’re Just Friends

Truebies can breathe easy now — Alexander Skarsgard is officially on the market, though it seems like he was never off it in the first place. Though rumors have swirled for more than a year that he is dating The East co-star Ellen Page, he recently quashed ‘em, revealing they are definitely not together.

While their canoodling Twitter photo would imply otherwise, the True Blood star told OK! Magazine’s German edition that they’re just pals. "Ellen and I are friends," he said, jokingly adding, “If I was really dating every woman I've been linked to, I would never be out of bed!"

Well, that image will be engrained in our minds forever. (Not that we’re complaining.) It seems that it isn’t anything against Ellen, though — Alex added that it’s difficult dating actresses.

"Besides; dating actresses is hard," he continued. "They usually don't have time for things like that. When they do have time, then it's me who's standing in front of a camera somewhere else. Also, I don't treat a new film set as an opportunity to score some dates!"

For the typically-private actor, this chat seems a bit candid, though considering his most recent serious relationship was with actress Kate Bosworth (they were together for two years and split in 2011), we understand his hesitation to date someone in the industry again.

Alexander Skarsgard & Ellen Page: Friends, not lovers

Simmer down, True Blood fans: Your favorite Nordic vampire is still on the market… or at least the guy who plays him isn't dating anyone named Ellen Page.

Fans of Alexander Skarsgard flipped when The East director Zal Batmanglij tweeted a photo of the film's star snuggling with costar Page
"When we'd lie in the grass listening to Toby practice Rostam's piano piece. #TheEast," he wrote. Page retweeted the photo, adding that the shot showed off their "Canadian Tuxedo Party."

It looks like a pretty intimate embrace, but a source told People that it's just an embrace between good friends. It's not the first time they've been spotted together, either: They took in a Los Angeles Kings game together last year. The tall Swede and the tiny Canadian were also spotted together — on friendly terms — at LAX.

Ellen Page's speech was fantastic, thanks to the person who posted it in its entirety. Quite beautiful in its eloquence and yet plain ol' bluntness.

People like Ellen Page have no idea the impact of what they are doing.

What she said in her speech is adding shockwaves into the fault line of Old Hollywood's stance of homophobia. Her calling out the industry on its ongoing practice is huge.

People are coming out and speaking out, finding strength in the courage of those shining in the light. There is such strength in numbers and every time someone like Ellen speaks up, that gives someone else the courage to go for it as well.

I think the Sochi Olympics has really added awareness as well.

What's really too bad is that someone as intelligent as Austin Nichols has his twitter account used today to depict women as blatant sex objects in the Sochi Olympics instead of being used as a platform for support of equality in those same games.

I have no words for my disappointment.

prairiegirl said...

Looks like an awful lot of noise and ruckus over a "misunderstood" picture.

My opinion stands.

prairiegirl said...

One final thought -

As evidenced by the extent to which someone is arguing, this is the evidence of how Old Hollywood gets nervous every time someone like Ellen Page comes out and starts talking.

What she did was like Hate the Closet said - caused people to look at her past dating history.

This is why the arguing. Not from some sense of righteousness of truth.

No. It's to keep people from looking at her dating history and wondering.

Oh, c'mon! said...

There was plenty of PR generated stories going around on the Internet that directly said that Skarsgard and Ellen Page were dating. What the heck do you think that photo of her in his arms and him kissing her were all about? Heck the article itself, stated they had been dated for one year. Sell your panic somewhere else, troll. You just don't like it because performers who have had to lie (whether my omission or commission) are starting to come out now. Once that house of cards starts to fall, you're left with nothing.

Florida Tom said...

No way in hell Jake changes anything. Well evident he is determined and stubborn. Plus he does not have what it takes to stand up. He is weak just like the other closet queens in HW.

prairiegirl said...

Agree, Tom. Stubborn doesn't even begin to cover it at this point. He and Austin are tauntingly defiant.

And what is sad is that both of these guys, I think, the way it's going to happen for them is they're going to get repeatedly and increasingly called out and more stories like the Power Beard story will publish until WME can't stop them any longer like they did the other day.

What a bunch of bonehead, kneejerk moves this past week by people who are supposed to know what they're doing and probably getting paid pretty well.

It's quite a confounding, helpless feeling to watch their "gameplan execution".
