This past weekend thousands converge on Washington for the National Equality March in Washington speak out for equal rights for all citizens in the U.S., including the right for all Americans marry. Serendipity intervened Congress who was supposed had a break for many members to their home states, had their holiday weekend suspended so they could stay in session working on passing legislation on ground breaking health care legislation. Some of the Congress person who have argue against the need for such federal legislation couldn't avoid the call for action.
Destiny, PG, Tom and Wicked were among those who marched speaking out and demanding equality for all. The March ended up at the steps of the Capitol in a rally for equality. PG sent along some pictures of the day.

Regarding your comment about OTH and Nathan, he is married and has a kid. But yeah, I don't get why a scandal of this sort would affect his basketball career, no NBA team woul care about something like this. I know it's kind of stupid to conplain about an unrealistic plot-line on a show like that, but there you have it.

What a clever question about Austin! Too bad we got another one of Ted's slightly nonsensical non-answers. My guess is that he's saying he dosn't know yet what Austin is growing--a full beard, or just some stubble to promote OTH.

Sophia Bush is a bigtime supporter of gay rights. She attended more than on rally for prop 8 and was very vocal when asked about the topic during an interview done at an event she attended.
Bearding isn't something she would be doing, even if it is her friend.
She is a very very vocal person who does not sit back and keep her mouth shut when it comes to issues she believes in. She even changed her voter registration from CA to NC in the last election because she felt her vote in NC would have a bigger impact on the swing state.
It's true she has dated her co-stars, but she clearly didn't do it for the PR in the past. She married a co-star that cheated on her and it was all over the tabloids about what he did and with whom.
Reese is a different bread, she was in a horrible marriage for years, seperated for years and she kept that information under lock and key, putting on a happy front for the PR machine and living a different life at home.
Sophia doesn't cater to middle america on issues and she also isn't afraid to admit to eating meat or owning a gun. When her husband cheated she didn't lie and put on a nice PR smile, she kicked him to the curb and had to deal with tabloid stories left and right.
If she is in a relationship with Austin Nichols, it's not so she can beard for him. That isn't who she is, it's not her MO.
Clearly people attending events that they are at are saying they are a couple, in NYC, in the Hamptons, in Austin and now in LA.

And what a great relationship they have! Austin is flying to LA just to go to an event with Sophia and then he doesn't even get to go home with her. Why, you might say that they're almost acting like... friends!

Sophia may think she is doing a good thing by bearding for a good friend, but what she is really doing is promoting a homophobic system that keeps things from changing in HW and elsewhere.
Sophia, as long as someone suppsoedly as progressive as you is willing to engage in such behavior, nothing is ever going to change for your gay friends. They will just continue to have miserable, closeted lives.

Good to see you last night, Kacie! Thanks for your good wishes - they felt so good. Dad's still asleep. I believe he'll remain that way until he passes on. He's not responding to anything. Sandy, the Hospice nurse said her best guess would be that it could happen this weekend, but we never know these things. There's never a timetable.
Anyway, us 3 siblings have never had so much together time since we were all living at home, lol. I'm here at home to check emails, get the mail and get my copies of those forms from my funeral class so we can start working on things.
Okay, well, I better go. Just checking in on things. There's no one around my mom's house who has a connection I can hook up to; I'd have to go down the street to the library. Oh! Another one of my missions. To grab my sister's Apple laptop so her & my brother can go to the library and check their emails. Another reason why I can't dawdle.

She isn't one to create fake relationships in the past and she has mixed it up at the workplace before.
Why aren't they walking the carpet together, because they are protecting their product OTH and at the same time keeping things private. I doubt Austin would have any problem letting the relationship become public knowledge. He freely offered up the fact that he dated Sophia in interview long before he landed on OTH.
He isn't talking because she doesn't talk about her realtionships. But there are enough stalkers in Wilmington that know whats going on.
Believe what you wish. Ignore the simple truths. But this girl doesn't need Austin or the PR this relationship is getting to better her career, she gets it already.

I think Ted is saying he's still out on the "is it a beard, or not" thing with Austin and Sophia. One thing Ted has said is, that there is nothing romantic going on between them.
Getting ready for my Pops to come tomorrow. When almost everybody in the family goes to the same college, homecoming/reunion weekends become a family thing. It's going be great to reconnect with old friends this weekend too.

Re Austin and Sophia, they are both single. Young people are expected to date. There is nothing to keep secret. The only thing they have to hide is that they are just friends. Being seen out is good for both the show (OTH) and the Reeke showmance. Austin lives in LA, he probably had other reasons to be in town.

It's funny, Austin and Sophia have been friends forever and now indulge in some teasing are they/aren't they stuff to help promote the series. Jake and Reese knew each other for ever and co-billed not co-starred in a movie, then began a public relationship that has had to last much longer than either can have envisaged at the beginning. To me it's still a no-brainer. If J & A were dating women, they would be dating different women.
