Night Capped

Here's Jake with the cast and crew from Nightcrawler.

Ironically not it's not take at night and no one is crawling. Although Jake is pretty low to the ground.

Jake's working a sneaker suit combo thing there.  Bring back the man bun an he could be a programmer circa 1992.

Maybe it's best not to give him any ideas.

Happy Hanukkah!

"Parkour" roll knot!! So what happened to the knot, I wonder? It appeared once, garnered days and days of online chatter. Then nothing. Gone. Too bad!

LOL! I see you found the perfect brick wall replica of Jake's staged photo shoots in Manhattan, PG. Great avatar. Maybe he'll change up the decor in the future and sit in front of wood oak paneling next time. Got to change up "the set" every once in awhile, Jake. It gets boring otherwise. ;-)

Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms

Clean, de-stem and scoop out "meat" of 20 uncooked jumbo white mushrooms)

Place mushrooms in boiling water that has been flavored with 2 beef broth cubes for about 2 minutes. Place on paper towels to cool and dry.

4 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
4 finely chopped scallions
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
Cook until translucent

Add:

8 strips of fried bacon (crumbled)

Scooped out crumbled meat from mushrooms

3/4 cup garlic flavored bread crumbs

2 tablespoons of white sherry

(The mixture needs to be moist so add a little of the beef flavored water and some of the bacon drippings if too dry.) Cook on medium heat until ingredients have blended together. (About 5-10 minutes

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Spoon the mixture into the mushroom caps and place on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake 20 minutes or until heated through.

Top with some grated Parmesan or Sharp cheddar cheese and put back into the oven to allow the cheese to melt. Remove from the oven and serve.

I've been so busy lately I haven't had time to think of recipes, especially for appetizers.

I think I finally figured out the theme for the menorahs, they're all in rainbow colors.

Ha ha ha! Hey, that's a classic, Tom. And it has withstood the passage of generations and generations.

Works best with Jif!
