Coming up a little short

My Outlaw status is intact. John Law wrote me a ticket today. The fish I caught was a quarter inch too small. - AUS10

Mine is 13 inches long. His is not. - AUS10

Still talking about fish there big guy?

But what do we know from this fish tale?

Well, the Outlaw lives.  (Austin a fishing ticket might not get you on Willie's tour, but you can buy a ticket next time he rolls into LA and live vicariously with your (fishing) pole)

Austin is living in a nice residential area with "great family home(s) in centrally located, highly desirable and trendy Melrose/La Brea within walking distance to houses of worship, schools and fabulous shopping/dining."  (Austy don't lose any sleep over it, we still have the top of the citation)

Austin's in LA.  (Wait Jake's in LA....that's not how it's supposed to work ; ) )

Johnny Law busted him Santa Monica.  (Were you hanging with the old guys fishing off the pier?  And how did know to bust you?)

And finally Jake if you need any ideas for Christmas gifts for Austy this year you can't go wrong with Ronco's Pocket Fisherman.

The Old Homestead, Hollywood Style

Jake and his family lived in several homes around LA while he was growing up, but this house hidden in the Hollywood Hills, was that last home they all shared as a family.

The home is mid-century modern, built in 1953, boasting an angular roof, open floor plan and floor-to-ceiling windows.  It has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a pool and grounds tailor-made for entertaining.

The house was recently purchased by singer Katy Perry's, who paid $11.2 million for three adjoining parcels of land, including the one on which the $3-million dollar former G's house sits.   But Katy isn't the first musician to own the house,  drummer and member of the E-Street band, Max Weinberg purchased the home after the G's put it on the market several year ago.

Do you see me now?

Sometimes it's a just a change in location:or maybe who's there when you land.that seems to make the difference.

Jake made sure that every knew he was back in LA.

With a bit of a grin and the phone to his ear he made his way through LAX and out to the sidewalk. No Burbank for this trip.
All he needed is Oprah announcing.... Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake Gyllllllllenhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal! as he walked out of the gate.

Hmmm wonder who is giving him that spring in his step?Later Jake was out for sushi. Not over in the Valley but at Murikami . Where's that? Just off of Hollywood Blvd. You think he was making sure it was easy for them to get his picture? From the way he kept looking over it seemed he was not alone. ; )
Then last night Jake was said to be spotted at celebrity filled show at Jay-Z and Kanye's Watch The Throne at The Staples Center.

Maybe he wants to make sure Hanukkah Harry knows where he's going to be spinning his dreidel? (and with? --- hmm who just got back from Israel?)
Speaking of the Holidays.

Last night Jake joined others to thank the troops and wish them Happy Holidays as part of WWE's Tribute to the Troops.

HOMM FJYRNISJYNG

Sauntering into the cafe of Ikea (his rendezvous choice) in Burbank, Calif., the 6-footer appears exceedingly Everydude in a Hanes T-shirt and Dolce & Gabbana jeans that hang low in the de rigueur fashion of youth, revealing Calvin Klein drawers.
He pretends to be horrified by his entrance.

''Did I pull the ultimate actor move of being 15 minutes late?'' he asks, eyes twinkling. Ten, but who's counting?

Gyllenhaal orders a plate of Swedish meatballs, which he eats with toothpicks just to appear eccentric. Of Swedish descent himself, the actor admires the socialist approach of the home-furnishings outlet and happily strolls the aisles, talking to strangers.

''I like Ikea because it feels like the potential of a home,'' says Gyllenhaal, who remains undaunted by the actor's itinerant life. ''I've just been roaming the land. I live in a storage bin and eat at Ikea.''

When the store sound system begins blaring the 80's pop standard ''Walking on Sunshine,'' Gyllenhaal, who narrowly lost the lead in ''Moulin Rouge'' to Ewan McGregor, amuses fellow shoppers by breaking into song and dance. Spent, he slides into a display filled with red rubber balls. ''I'm floating in a pan of giant cranberries,'' he shouts, giving voice to either an inner child or a very green acting student.

Thinking of that I thought what kind of Ikea furniture would he be?

But he's Swedish where's the challenge in that. What would a tall Texan be?

But you need more than a chair twp side tables and a chest. So from the ATTC collection comes :

Guess Jake was on to something.

Need more furniture? Check out the Swedish Furniture Manufacturer.

Back home and looking happy and ready to get something cooking....
