The plaid is back baby and now with with a hooded Mac. Is this going to be Jake's summer London LumberJake look when out and about. Is he doing his uber casual look across the pond for the scheduled rounds. The smart and savy dresser seemed just to throw something on for his evening out. Think it's the hair or the company that is influencing is lack of fashion passion?
Here's hoping the locks get long enough and with extensions he can ditch the hood and go for something a little more fashion forward. Maybe something like Red Sox's Manny Ramirez with his do rag tube, or maybe a headband? 
Wonder who he could borrow that from?
Fingers crossed the McBongo bandanna solution never shows up.

Good morning - saw a coyote this morning during my walk. He was loping across, saw me, I saw him, I stopped, he stopped, and then he turned & ran back in the opposite direction. I've seen deer that early in the morning, too, and it's always so eerie, yet beautiful to see the animals in their natural state of being.
Just finished watching Zodiac; that was entrancing. Long, but entrancing. RDJ was good in that and so was Jake.
All this talk of long hair makes me think of Fabio in Bubble Boy.
And plaid makes me think of Austin.
Take the Fifth, that's a catchy tune. This hair talk makes me think of the song Hair. Gimme a head with hair, long, beautiful hair, shining, gleaming, steaming, flaxen, waxen. Take that hoodie off, Jake. Let's see that head of hair.
When Jake unveils the whole thing, extensions included, we will most definitely play Hair.
I don't know anything about extensions. But his hair is not just scraggly in the pics, it is unwashed. Is there some reason or time period when you can't wash your hair after you get them?

I think he does. His legs must kill from riding. He's gonna have to ride a lot to get rid of bouncing in his saddle. Heels down, butt down.
DO NOT wash hair for at least 2 days after the extensions are put in. This allows the glue time to properly set. If the hair is washed before this there is more chance of bonds or hair falling out.
Maybe the entire thing is just plain uncomfortable for him. :(
I hope it will turn out to be a good film, and am curious to see how it develops along the way. They won't, I hope, go that cliche romance novel cover Fabio-on-horseback look for him, but long hair and facial hair is appropriate for the time.

WDW included a pic of Bruckheimer at the same dinner. Nice slacks, shirt and sports jacket. Shined shoes. He looked more like Reese's date.
The addl' pics in the car are weird. No eye contact, she's pulled into a tight ball, legs crossed away from Jake. They are each on the far side of the car. No contact at all. Like strangers in a cab.

Just a mundane comment, but one that strikes a chord with me being a fairly regular dogsitter. Who's watching Atticus? Is he in a kennel? I just find it sad that Atticus is not getting to spend much time with his owner in his later years. And Atticus has got to be getting on in years, doesn't he? I don't think large dogs live as long as smaller ones. I would miss my dog if I was away from him/her that much. Not criticizing as Jake has his career, but it's not a good life for a dog if his owner is going to be away from it so much. That's when the dog starts acting up, lol, and starts ripping up toilet paper, getting into the Christmas tree, & getting into the trash, trust me.

The pics were taken at the Tate modern museum. There are never paparazzi in the area.
It is an area that is often crowded, full of tourists and people with cameras around, but no paps.

I agree, Something does not look right in the pics of Jake and Reese. I know most celebs. hate the paps but those photos scream (tension).. Maybe Reese is mad at Jake for wearing the hoodie. She probably told him or (demanded) he take that damn hoodie off. If she did, I agree! Take the thing off Jake, we know it's for a role you're filming.

So this is an art museum, is that correct? Whatever kind of museum it is, I don't think my own 8 yr old niece & 10 yr old nephew could be dragged there, unless there was an Xbox or HS Musical showing going on there. Really, they'd rather go to a playground or indoor inflatable park than walk around a playground. Kids want to run around & play, burn off all that excess energy they have. But these kids would rather be taken to a museum? Not so sure about that one...

But I digress, back to today's head styling post and the various things guys do to their hair:
The headband can look great on some guys. Austin wears it rather well on the pic posted by Spesh but he just looks a bit too young for me to find it looking great.
What else do we have today… hoods and baseball caps… I'm getting tired of the rapper/gangsta/casual Joe hoodie style. Jake doesn't look good when he pulls the hood up; the hoodie's not his best friend, nor is the baseball cap IMO.
The woollen cap (not shown) I personally found myself to like once in a while but in the end I much prefer Jake with a naked head. ;)
I have some catching-up to do regarding pics but I took a look at what :) posted above and I have to admit that I HATE ponytails on guys. Any kind, anywhere, for any reason whatsoever. Just HATE them. And pretty-pretty boy Efron above is just the most ridiculous offender of the bunch IMO.

I agree, Frenchy. I like the naked head, too. Jake has such a great head of hair when he lets it grow out. Altho, the Jarhead look wasn't bad either. Didn't care for the blond look on Austin as much; I liked that Pebbles do in that one picture. That was cute. Course, wouldn't work now, lol, but back then it was cute. Zac Efron definitely does not rock that look.
Don't shoot me - but I think a scruffy ponytail is not so great, but a nicely groomed one, if it looks good and the man can wear it well, can look very sophisticated artist. A nice suit or tux and a ponytail, with Jake's expressive eyes and lips and the beautiful facial hair he can grow, nicely groomed, could look verrrrrrry hot and beautiful. It's the rare man who can wear it well, and I think Jake is that rare man.

As much as I loathe Reeke, the dlisted post seems pretty nasty to me. Makes me feel kind of bad for Jake, and believe me that's a first in a long time.
I agree, Orchid. He's taking alot of heat for his unkempt appearance. Even on JustJared, where usually they're gaga over Reeke. Even on that one, they're all over Reese & Jake, commenting on how tired they both look and how "old" she looks. They're pretty harsh. Too bad they couldn't have eaten in. Whatever happened to the very private couple who loved to cook and have meals indoors.
Wilma doesn't have hair like that. That's the Pebbles look.

I dunno about how Jake is looking. His brows are furrowed, he has alot of lines between the eyes, beard is back again, hair is stringy looks dirty, clothes look unwashed. unkempt. is it the 'I'm an artist' thing goin on or unhappiness, alchol-drugs, maybe depression, hating his life, rebellion? Sometimes its what happens when you go against your heart.
Willing to cut Jake some slack this time. Is the beard for his role in POP? Was it raining that night? Was there a sale @ Walgreens on hair wet? Jury will be out for me til his next sighting. Will admit, it's a whole different look for him, not what we're used to.

Jake has had different looks, like a shaved head and 70s wig [TGG] and on location in the desert, in piss water for TDAT..stuck in alot worse places and sitches and bad looks but been and looked happier than he is now in a nice house in London spending his time growing his hair and riding horses and going out to dinner with his friend Reese.
Altho, the Jarhead look wasn't bad either.

Hmmm, no gamer myself but if I remember correctly the hero in the video game has a pretty smooth and hairless face but then again they might have taken some liberties in the movie for the sake of realism. Any serious warrior has to have some beard - haven't decided yet if the pun is intended or not...
Cruised around to get a sense of the public reaction. I learned that the restaurant is a pap hangout, the equivalent of the Ivy in LA. So they certainly should have expected, or planned, attention by going there.
The pics bother me a lot as well. For months before Heath died, people on DC commented how unhappy and unkempt he was looking. Of course it was written off to the break up with Michelle. I don't want to see a similar thing happen to Jake, depression, I mean. Back when he and Austin broke up and Jake went to NY, he let himself go. Turned into a scruffy bear. So he does have a history.
I don't disagree there. Unkemptness is definitely a sign of depression.
I hear ya, wassup. Sometimes I put on the rose-colored glasses for what reason, I'm not sure. I would say the first 6 mths of Reeke, he was not looking happy at all. He looked miserable. Then he seemed to turn a bit of a corner. He has the role now that maybe he really wanted. Why be depressed now unless he is in a situation for which he doesn't see a soon-to-be foreseeable conclusion to. Or there is an end coming but he's just plain tired of it all. And that is what I hope for.
Jake always looks more happier withoput reese. Hopefully her visit is coming to a close. I expected her to be in London for 1 month/6 wks tops total so she will prob be leaving soon. maybe part of Jake looking so bad is he's getting fed up with her.

I agree, I hope that it's just role preparation and not unhappiness. I hope that the film is turning out to be what he'd hoped. It really does look like he and Reese are not on the same wavelength at all. It may be that the strain is catching up to them. I hope, if it isn't real, that the end of it is near. Anyone know if Austin is finished with his movie or where he is? Funny how he's getting more into the gay scene with the movie about AIDS and the pic with mans legs wrapped around him. good for him for being himself.
Prayers for Bobby filmed in Michigan from May 21st, and wrapped about a month later - around the 20th-21st of June.
Where's Austin? Could be a lot of places.
We know that he will be meeting up with his brother in law Rowdy in Rome and on to the Ischia Global Film and Music Fest of the coast of Naples. Rowdy's movie will be screening on the last day of the Fest on July 20th.
From his blog it sounds like they are meeting a few days before heading to there. So that looks like Austin will be in Italy next week.
