OTH Season Six is ovah (that would be over for outside of Boston) but Season Seven will be in production in July and Austin no longer just a extended guest star but a season regular, so it's time for him to get know a little more about his neighborhood, ok well OMG to, Austin's lived in Wilmington before when he was on Surface.
And while famous people might come to work in Wilmington, Wilmington has one of their own who became one of the most famous people in the world.

Movie Club will be Friday night (5:00pm EST) - Saturday - June 12-13th.
And because summer means extra special treats - a second movie club on June 19-20th for a LGBT movie. The number one pick for the LGBT movie was Big Eden.

I did not realize Surface was filmed there. I actually watched that series and liked Austin in it. He looks particularly good around water.
Wow I really wonder if JG Francis had any clue what interest there was in Jakes sexually. I def think that he is legit and was talking about something that happened. I also think he knows Jake is gay but again didnt realize some of the interest and talk about Jake on the internet. JG says he and Jake have a mutual friend and Jake gave out his number. No way str8 guys do that especially after eye contact like that. Eye contact like that between men is normally sexual in one way or another. Str8 Men avoid eye contact unless they know the other guy.
I feel bad and I hope I didnt scare JG. His blog is very nice. I hope he comes back and visits us again.

Rolling Thunder has been rolling through DC this weekend. I love these folks! It's great to see motorcycle riders all over the city. We went to the National Arboretum and saw some Rolling Thunder folks walking around in full motorcycle regalia. We can also hear them zooming up and down 295 all weekend. Whenever I think of Memorial Day, I think of these men and women.
Interesting, the old "Jake might be in it, it's going to be big on a NY Broadway stage" Farragut North play is now in L.A. at the (small) Geffen Playhouse and starring Chris Pine. How's that bearding and Reese mentoring working out for you Jake?

Love the curls. sigh. What I wouldn't give for my hair to do that. There was a young guy at the Royals game last week with the most gorgeous dark, wavy hair and I was admiring his as well.

But I did want to get on & just say this about yesterday. I have no doubt that Jake knows how to cruise and has done it probably a ton of times. I'm sure he wasn't over in Morocco all that time with just his right hand for company as well.
There's just several things that hold me back from totally believing it. I found that other guy's post, the journalist jogger in Europe who encountered J & R working out, totally believable. The poem, no, I didn't buy that one at all. This latest one could be bought except I just have a few hanging issues, none of which I want to share on here. lol. This blog's too available to eyes. Just because someone gives a personal account on LJ or Blogger or wherever by some Joe Bloe does not always make it true. So, you just have to "file it away," like m said. Keep it in the back of the mind.
Phew. Still catching up on things. Wow, I can't believe I'm following my own last comment and it's been over 5 hrs ago. This one might have to do me as I still have to catch up on a couple new chapters of stories that I've missed on LJ and some other laptop work.
I took JFC Episode 5 with me to dogsit but I didn't get it watched. I'm going to have to try tonight because I have a feeling the rest of this week is going to be a wash. I've got my dog people calling me left and right, I can't believe it. I hope they keep calling because I think the $$ might be needed, depending on what my doctor tells me tomorrow about the next step in finding out about my tibial nerve thingy problem.
I won't be able to join you guys for the movie discus since I'm just not a Star Trek fan. I never was into that show; I'm not a Star Wars or Stargate or any of those kinds of show fans. But I know you guys'll probably have your greatest discussion ever since it sounds like this Squinto guy is as much the rage as that Pattinson guy. I dunno, I think I'm getting too old, lol. None of these new people are interesting me any.
Yesterday morning, I happened to catch the tail end of a Charles Osgood story and it caught my eye because they were showing pictures of a national cemetary. And they were showing shots of gravestones, what some of them said. And then they showed a gravemarker that just said "Unknown" and there was no sound on the TV, just the wind and it was such a profound moment. How absolutely tragic that someone should die and no one know who the remains belonged to.
I saw an obituary in the paper the other day and it was so short. It was a young guy and there wasn't even going to be a memorial service or funeral. It was probably the shortest obituary I've ever seen. It was one of the saddest things I've ever seen. I can't think of hardly anything lonelier than to leave this earth like that.
They're repeating the OTH wedding episode right now; I really liked this one. Sophia is so beautiful.
Hey, guess what, this is cool; or at least I thought it was. The guy I just dogsat for; he & his bandmates got back today from their weekend gig. There was a mini poster on the coffee table of where they were at as their band was mentioned as one of the participating acts. The headlining act at this Togapalooza? (LOL! Togapalooza) Everclear!!! Wow, that's pretty cool. Everclear has had a few hits on mainstream radio - I think their lead singer is hot. I couldn't believe it, tho. That's not too shabby! I'm watching Nikki & Puddy again this coming Sat. as they have another one night gig.

I agree with the comment that said Austin looks a little more filled out than from the bigger of the season, but he carries it well.
And I'm leaving this question for Tom who has had past interest in these things. Was that a ripple or a jiggle of those pecs (you can use your own word Tom) when he whipped the shirt off in the season finale, or was it a shadows from the lighting. It is a great love story, in town that gives you a little Northern Exposure (the TV show) feel. It's not a teenage love story, or just about hooking up, but a sweet story about falling in love and the things you do.
About today's Ted and his flip flop on being hard on Toothy and the others and then being sympathetic, and his answer about growing up again in Texas.
I think he is trying to say from his own experience he acknowledges that coming out is tough and some will be slower than others, but still he wants them to come out. JMO

I read Ted as being sympathetic as well. His cat has been quite ill lately so I think he feels more empathy for others at the moment.

Anyone ever watch the mini series "Starter Wife" with Debra Messing (who was married then dump by her Hollywood mogul husband)? They have a Memorial Party scene at some big exec's beach house in Malibu, and it is basically have to go to be seen business kind of summer party. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the pictures and the mentions of who was there.

The one good thing I see here is that unlike any past Reeke pictures that I've noticed, in this one, he's got one thing going on that he hasn't before.

Peyton and Brooke are walking to a wedding. Brooke says "I cant believe we don't have dates for this. What kind of boyfriend takes his guy roommate camping for the weekend?" Peyton's reply is "Jake Gyllenhaal". An insider joke even then.

"Hipster" was what someone called him in a comment here, not what he called himself. One pic, obviously a casual shot with shorts, scruff beard and shades and probably not current, hard to tell what his personality is by that, one picture.
I give him the benefit of the doubt on the Jake story. He had nothing to lose or gain by telling it, unless you want to count site hits. Yes if he was lying he could be doing it for an ego boost and a bit of attention, but what straight man really wants to publicize that he got hit on by a gay guy? And if he's lying and he's really gay (lol, covering all bases here), why would he say he's straight considering he's in the arts and living in gay-happy LA and why would he make a fool of himself? Plus if he's gay and it really did happen, why would he say no to Jake, talk about it and end all future chances?
But really, the guy had nothing to gain by telling what happened. If anything it put him up for ridicule and disbelief, which is odd because you can bet your ass Jake had more than 5 confidentiality agreements printed up, for good reason.. he's using them, just not with this guy.

The LA Marathon was today and so far no pics of celebs, if they were even there. With all the runners and bicyclists in the race and it being LA/HW you'd think celebs would be there doing something if not just watching, oh thats right my bad, Reese already had the paps booked for the Malibu Reekathon.
Jake looks sad to me at leaving that party. As Special points out, it does very much look like an industry event, maybe their agency.
One thing, if Austin has (temporarily?) departed surely that's going to put alot more pressure on the Reeking beardy situation. Surely Jake is easier to handle (manipulate) in bearding terms when he at least has Austin to run home to and be comforted by, without Austin I think Jake really becomes a wild card, lonely, horny, resentful, vulnerable and on the prowl. Pretty much a disaster to happen.
Aware that this is total unfounded speculation, but just a few thoughts.

This J.G. Francis guy looks like "Wes from the production company", the guy Unabomber Jake was seen hugging on the street during his sad summer. I definately think he was a former date with all the checking around if anyone is watching.
Jake has a very distinctive taste in men and J.G. looks like his type so I'm leaning towards believing his blog. I can easily see him (J.G.) being flattered by the attention and writing about the experience even though he wasn't interested in the end. And getting deeper into the male psyche: I think he actually was a bit interested since he was the one making eye contact and there sure is a lot of stress on how much he loves boobs.
Also Austin must be away since Jake is looking so distressed again. Sigh. He is not a happy bunny in the beach party pictures.
