Short, Full and Whole (lotta of something)

Jake almost a Dude... somebody wanting the full monty....and the whole deal

In an interview for PoP in ShortList, Jake reveals that he auditioned (and didn't get!) for Dude, Where's My Car?

Are there any other big movies you missed out on?

These are horrible stories. So many, man. I've been acting for 15 years, since I was pretty you, so there have been tons of different things. My flummoxed audition for Dude, Where's My Car?

You really auditioned for that?

Oh man. I gave such a good audition. Such a bummer. It was good.

Be serious, because we're goig to print this...

I'm serious. Totally serious. I came in and they were like, "We don't want it to be like Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, we want it to be different." I was like, "I got it. I got it." I'd worked on it. I knew exactly what I was going to do. And I was like [puts on dorky accent], "Dude, where's my car?" That was the character. That was who I was going to be. And they were like, "That's great, um can we try it again, without the accent?" And I was like, "That's all I've got...That was what I've to got for it." That was a movie I would have loved to have done.

Can you image Jake and Hal Sparks together?
Bubble et Bubble

Now Torchwood's John Barrowman would like to see Jake bubble and clothes free. In Now Magazine Barrowman said hed' like to see the full monty.

John Barrowman has a soft spot for Jake Gyllenhaal.
The Torchwood star would like to share an on-screen snog with the 29-year-old hunk.
'I've been pretty lucky to have kissed some fabulous women,' John, 43, admits.
'I've also kissed some of the most fabulous men but Jake Gyllenhaal is lovely - just take your clothes off, Jake!'

It might not be the full monty but something was getting Austin all hot and bothered the Whole Foods from the sound of this tweet.

Is it wrong to get aroused in whole foods?

(Talk about something for a t-shirt)

Wonder what it was that was so arousing?

The food?

Or a what a certain shopper might do with it.

You know nothin' says lovin' like something from the oven.

And little extra Jakey:

Do you mind if we ask about rumours about you?

Sure. Oh gosh...

They say you're a dab hand at woodwork. Is that nonsense?

That is kind of nonsense...I'm going to just set the record straight now. I don't think I'm that good at woodwork. I do like doing woodwork. But I don't necessarily think I'm good at it. It's really hard.

Special, where on earth do you find these things? I'm gonna have to find a copy of the Cookie Sutra. LOL!! :)

Have I ever said I love John Barrowman? Lots of times. :)

I must say that the Cookie Sutra lives amongst my cookbooks. :O

LOLLLLLL.

Okay, I'm going to repost my Tweet It, Tee It -- contribution that I wrote late this morning because it seems somehow much more fitting here. I think you're reading my mind, Special:

I can certainly understand Aus10's passion for the Whole Foods experience. After all, the organic market is celebrating it's 30th birthday this year (just like two other men dear to our hearts), it's birthplace is Austin, Texas, and one of the trendy market's core values is to "satisfy" and "delight." So wonder Jake's creative juices begin to overflow at just the mention of the phrase, "locally grown."

Now, remember, Austin, don't forget that squeezing for firmness is essential whenever you're selecting the very best. Uh-oh. West Hollywood Store Manager public address announcement:

"Clean up on Aisle 4...again. I told you people not to let Jake and Austin in the store together."

That book's in my collection too, Special! Along with, The New InterCourses: An Aphrodisiac Cookbook. Like Cookie Sutra this title has great photographs and recipes too. Btw: Do you know the author, Edward Jaye. I thought he lived in the New England area. Massachusetts, maybe?

Jake: Trust me, the The New InterCourses'Orange Blossom Panna Cotta is luscious and will get you whatever you want, whenever you want it. Hey, what am I thinking, you don't need any more assistance, do you? But, for we mere mortals, I gotta say both books have a definite seductive draw. *wink*

Time for soccer. Go USA!!!
(exclamation marks just for you, Austin)

The parrot, Sophia, should be tweeting any minute now so we all know she's cuddled up next to Austy.

That is really cute SK. What a post. How do you come up with these things so quick? Those tweets yesterday were fun.
God I love Tweeter:-)

Cookie Sutra??!! :-D

I can get pretty excited by even a great grocery store. I always chalked it up to living in NYC where they are tiny, cramped and you sometimes have to go 2 or 3 places to get everything you need for a special meal. When I get back out West and in one of those huge supermarkets, I get giddy and feel like running up and down the aisles.

Bit surprised Austin would feel that way since I didn't think he could cook, but maybe it's all that prepared food that grabs his eye.

Love the music and food photos.

I love the food photos too - the sensual pears, and how'd ya like to take a bite out of that penis bread! But my favorite is the kissing cherries. :)

In Cosmo

Why would a Guy Wear that?

Jake's pinkie ring may be odd, but it also communicates some serious confidence. When a guy sports a traditionally feminine style, like flashy jewelry or a bright pink shirt, he's really saying "I'm so damn manly, I can wear whatever I want."

How about I hire you to do my grocery shopping for me. The stores we have, jeezus. There's almost two football fields of aisles, every food and nonfood item you can imagine along with numerous deli counters, full service bakery, a Subway, pharmacist, florist and a bank and credit union. Sure it sounds good and convenient but of course the three items I need are miles apart and tons of walking and lots of minutes away from each other. LOL anytime you want the job destiny just say the word.

Must say I had tons of fun doing today's post.

All sports and cooking for me today. Hanging out with my brother and nephew who are heading in to week 2 of their guy staycation. Went over to make dinner, but actually they are doing great on their own. My brother surprising me at how much cooking he's done.

Scheduled everything between the World Cup and the Sox/Giants game so we could catch it all. Enjoying both the games and the bbq.

Tasted my brother's baking (which he has never done) for coffee hour at church tomorrow. He did great, and quite proud of himself.

The house looks good, no furniture or rug causalities, the dogs haven't taken over, all my sister in law's fear are for naught.

Ha. That's what you think.

LOL the ex-beard takes another jab at Jake.

Jim was seen being quite the gentleman, opening the car door for his lady love before getting behind the driver’s wheel.

LOL Westerner. Maybe I could have a new career as a professional grocery shopper. I guess it's the foodie in me, I really enjoy it.

I do think some of the Reese stuff is a dig at Jake, even if his name is not mentioned. And I find it interesting that we've seen a lot less of Reese with Toth than we saw of Reeke.
