Kicking off the Crazy

Adam Sandler celebrated Hanukkah by doing Eight Crazy Nightsso OMG is kicking off Hanukkah this year with some Crazy Tree.

While Austin is done filming, the Tree has a bit longer before it heads out of the CW forest.

The ninth season of the Tree returns on Wed. January 11th on the CW to begin its final 13 episodes.

The tree looks like its gotten a bit dark, or is it just root rot?

And going out with a bit of bang they are having a pre-screening of the premiere with the cast at the ArcLight Theater in LA, on January 5th at 7pm, with a Q&A session with most of the Crazy Tree crew following.

Austin is confirmed to be there. (Jake will be making plans to be out of LA, no doubt, may we suggest somewhere a little different from your usual haunts, perhaps the exotic International Falls, MN? No one will recognize you in a parka - hood up)But for those in California who want to chance it and be in LA with Austin at the same time, The Huffington Post is giving away a ticket for 5 individuals to join the talk to the Tree. Check it out.

And if you feel the need to share the Crazy, Season 8 DVDs are out today.

And Jake's not the only one making the year end lists. Austin is on Buddy TV's 100 Sexiest Men on Television at #69.

Think they could have picked a better picture than this one:Perhaps this instead?
Would it keep him 69'ing?

OMG celebrates with who begin this evening celebrating The Festival of Lights.

Maybe Austin will be getting this on this first night of Hanukkah.

Dear Jake Gyllenhaal,

Thirty-one years ago, you were born. Mazel tov! Clearly we should reward your mother’s hard work and your sexy genetics.

But what to give the Jew who already has everything? Okay, you don’t have everything—we hear through the grapevine that you’re still looking for love, and we know all about your failed flings with Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift (side note, Taylor Swift, really???).

But what could you possibly desire beyond that? You’ve managed to stay under the radar this year, while promoting “Source Code” and riding the success of “Love and Other Drugs.”

From your paparazzi photos, we know you have the same blue steel-inspired pout set on your chiseled features almost every moment of your life. You have a love for sunglasses, and waving, and getting swarmed by photographers while jogging or acting or leaving a restaurant.

That’s it! We’ll show you your past few years in photographs, and remind you of how far you’ve come. Who needs love, when you’ve got overzealous photographers documenting your every move?

And besides, you can always join Jspace Dating, and we’ll hook you up with a nice Jewish girl.

Love,

Jspace Staff

J-Connection: Jake Gyllenhaal is Jewish through his mother, and he has said he considers himself “more Jewish than anything else.” All we have to say is, “welcome to the tribe!”

And a Happy Hanukkah to everyone on this first night - the Festival of Lights. Pretty exciting, I'm sure, for Austin with added meaning after his trip to Israel.

A very special Happy Hanukkah to everyone at OMG... such a wonderful celebration of life at this darker time of the year.

May you all be bathed in the light of love, hope, and whatever faith you choose.

Jake's b-day cake.

Jake Gyllenhaal celebrated his 31st birthday with a SoulCycle spin class in Union Square on Monday morning and dinner with friends at Peter Luger in Brooklyn. The “Source Code” star and his actress sister, Maggie, “Love and Other Drugs” co-star Oliver Platt and a handful of close friends shared a low-key meal at the steakhouse. A spy said a “lumberjack chic” Gyllenhaal hung out at the bar and then enjoyed a cake that his mother, Naomi Foner, brought to the restaurant.

Well Jake didn't go vegetarian for his birthday if he went to Peter Luger's.

Why do people think Jake is a veg? Seems he likes all foods.

We just make up what suits us

No, this statement is derived from information we're fed that the majority of restaurants that Jake seems to feed at anymore are vegetarian oriented.

Sorry, you might want to read up again.

I didn't say he was a vegetarian, I said he didn't go vegetarian for his birthday.

Jake has been frequenting many vegetarian restaurants in SF, Los Angeles and New York.

Jake Gyllenhaal: Jury Member at Berlin Film Festival!

Jake Gyllenhaal will serve as a member of the jury for this year’s Berlin Film Festival!

The 31-year-old actor will join director Anton Corbijn, Iranian writer/director Asghar Farhadi, French-Brit actress Charlotte Gainsbourg, French director Francois Ozon, and more, Deadline reports.

Director Mike Leigh (Secrets & Lies, Another Year) will serve as president of the jury.

The Berlin Film Festival will take place from February 9-19.

FYI: Jake celebrated his 31st birthday over the weekend - happy belated birthday, Jake!!

Why do they keep calling it a jury? Why don't they just call it a voting panel?

Jury makes it sound bad - like it's a trial.
