" Quand on me parle d'amour, je rougis "

..."When I speak of love, I blush"

Jake did an interview with French magazine Ciné-Télé-Revue for PoP when he was in London for the premiere. (For those who know French or want brush up their French check out the article here: Ciné-Télé-Revue )

The short interview talked about the movie, who his heroes were, Maggie, but it was the last question asked the provided answer that says much.

You seem to enjoy being single since the end of your relationship for two years with Reese Witherspoon. How do you imagine your future love life?

How could I know? When I speak of love, I blush like a virgin. I am convinced that a relationship can be sustainable if it’s with the right person. But in the meantime, I continue to live, work and play sports. (Laughter)

It sounds like Jake has learned that from being in loving last relationship, but what is more interesting his choice of words. "The right person" Not woman, he went with the person. (Well, he could have said goose. But then they're would be the whole Audubon society jumping in here.)

Blush like a virgin? Have only see that sweet smile that he gets for his lovely lad but no blush.

Now what would make him blush like a virgin .....
Mr. Nichols just what do you say to your man?

Much much thanks to a friend of OMG who played translator. It's been a while since translating French, and it would probably come out as either one of two translations remembered: "All of Gaul is divided into three parts" or "Shoot. It's snow. It's snow! Great! Let's go out to the garden"

One last thought from yesterday's thread and then off to read Special's new post. Jake has no problem with sueing "for every little thing," even when the threat is specious and has little legal foundation in a courtroom. In other words, celebrities sue for a variety of reasons that might relate to their inflated and convoluted perception of their professional reputation or their distorted sense of personal privacy. It is significant that not only did no threat of litigation come from his eager beaver legal team when those boyfriend/baby rumors circulated, but Jake hid behind an anonymous posse whose lukewarm response was how incensed Jake was. I'm surprised they didn't add the schoolyard go-to line that his feelings were hurt too! :-(

How angry? Well, so personally outraged that he had third party anonymous sources go "on the record" over three weeks later. Seems like less a sign of fury and more a manifestation of desperation. Moreover, it's hard to believe that he couldn't find one recognizable person who would go on the record to vouch for him in order to provide, at least, a modicum of credibility. By the way, the Drunkenstepfather incident took place on a Saturday night and, by Monday, Jake had already had a lawsuit filed. Same thing with the South Carolina Incident where not only was the letter sent out within 24 hours of the publication, but the writer was only given 24 hours to take down the information about where Jake was staying.

Mar 22nd, 2010 - Jake Gyllenhaal Sues DrunkenStepfather Over Bar Brawl

Apparently one of the bloggers at DrunkenStepfather.com made some snide comments to Jake Gyllenhaal that caused him to go nuts on a girl at a bar….reportedly.

The blogger said that he asked Jake's date this question, 'Hey isn't that they guy who kissed Heath Ledger?' This comment was said to set Jake off, to which he reportedly started screaming and throwing his arms up in the air. [Allie Is Wired!]

2) Threat to pursue "damages" and "injunctive relief" over publishing a public address.

^Sorry, about the broken link above. Here is the text from Adam Fogel, himself:

THREAT OF LEGAL ACTION FROM GYLLENHAAL CAUSES POST’S REMOVAL
You may have noticed the disappearance of Thursday’s post revealing the not-at-all top secret locations of homes reportedly procured by the cast of the movie “Nailed.” And if you’re one of the many people who has emailed me or made a comment, I appreciate your concern. But you can stop now.
The reason the post was removed was that I received a stern letter this morning from Jake Gyllenhaal’s attorney threatening legal action if I did not remove all pictures of and references to the locations. That’s right, THE Jake Gyllenhaal wanted to sue me… I’m flattered.
I guess I never realized he was so sensitive about where he lived. Don’t they have maps to the stars homes readily available on every street corner in southern California?
Well, even though I believe that I did nothing wrong and had every right to publish that information, I quickly removed the post and apologized to he and his lawyer. I did that for three reasons:
1. I didn’t want to make Jake mad.
2. I wanted to invite his co-star Jessica Biel to my “Sorry, Jake” party at the Back Porch, 1616 Gervais St., date to be determined.

Tamina said...

Was the wording kiss or kill? Doesn't matter. Whatever "set him off" wasn't the reason for the lawsuit. If you recall, the statement made was about the hitting a woman allegation, how Jake would never do that. Same for the posting of a private address. Nothing to do with the rumors about TT and family.

M and M said...

^Continued:

3. It scares the hell out of me to have a lawyer with an undergrad degree from Harvard and a law degree from Stanford coming after me.
Anyway, if you’re reading this Jake, I would like to offer my sincere apologies.
Like Jessica, you’re more than welcome to attend the “Sorry, Jake” party… just give me a call or stop by when you get to South Carolina. I’m sure you have my number by now.

And since you’re playing a Congressman in the movie, I would also like to offer you a coveted spot in our Sunday Guest Post Series. You can do it in character, or as yourself. It’s all good, brothah!

That's correct, but that's not the significance of the post. The point is that Jake has no problem sueing and very quickly if he thinks his reputation will be damanged or because of some extraordinary need for privacy. And, btw, many feel that the S.C. incident was about BT.

What a strange debate you all had yesterday. It seems some people here don't understand PR or the legal system, yet act like they do and reach the strangest conclusions based on their lack of knowledge. For example, M and M and prairiegirl seem to believe that Jake not suing someone for spreading rumors of him being gay/having a baby with his male lover indicates that there is truth in the rumors, and point out that Tom Cruise has sued when articles have suggested he is gay. What they (and others) don't seem to understand is that Tom Cruise is the exception to the rule. When it comes to gay rumors, actors almost never sue. There's no point to it. It doesn't make the rumors go away, in fact it would do the opposite. It is also hard to win a case, and it risks making you look like a homophobe.

There is not an actor in Hollywood that hasn't had gay rumors attached to their name when they become fmous. Not one. Whether it's Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, or Matt Damon, or...pick a name, they've all had them. None of them sue. Tom is the exception, and the poster child for why you don't.

As for Ted, again, he can say pretty much whatever he likes in a BI without fear of getting sued. That's the point of a BI. Of course he's going to say the E legal team is breathing down his neck; it gives the BIs that extra bit of drama, like he is risking a lot to share this gossip with you. It's good showmanship.

Vanity Fair said...

Jake would never sue about the gay rumours because it would bring too much attention to them, and, more importantly, because the rumors are true and it would come out, and he'd lose.

M and M said...

Warranted? You don't think that accusing someone (who has worked long and hard to create an uber-hetero public image so he can get A-list roles and make oodles of money) of having a boyfriend and about to have a baby, a warranted reason for at least a cease and desist letter. Your response shows your agenda.

And, by the way, there is no legal grounds to purse someone for an invasion of privacy when the address is a public record, which by the way, the S.C. address was.

Of course, you will have a response to the contrary, which is easy to do with any statement, but I'll let objective, thinking people digest what I'm saying.

M and M said...

^ to pursue someone for an invasion of privacy...

Pfft said...

Exactly 10:11. But I still follow because it all could be true. It would be lovely if there is a child. But today's post and song remind me of why I started to follow this in the first place. There's nothing wrong with healthy debate. The privacy issue is the big thing with the Nailed housing, even if there was no BT. Even for civilians.

So very bitter said...

M and M, I've already pointed out your errors, but now you're repeating something else that needs to be highlighted. You say Jake

...had third party anonymous sources go "on the record" over three weeks later.

Do you have any evidence that Jake did this? I know you're referring to the National Enquirer article, but you seem to just believe that a friend of Jake's really did talk to the NI. You're stating it as a fact, but the phrase "a friend" in gossip journalism can range in meaning from "a genuine friend" to "someone who barely knows him" all the way to "I have no source so I'll just make one up".

You have a habit of not answering my questions, so I won't be surprised if you avoid this one too.

Pfft said...

And, by the way, there is no legal grounds to purse someone for an invasion of privacy when the address is a public record, which by the way, the S.C. address was.

Flat out wrong. Especially for a famous person. Do we know the address was public record? It was a temporary address for the duration of the film.

So very bitter said...

Exactly 10:11. But I still follow because it all could be true.

That's the funniest part. It is possible that Jake and Austin are in a loving, committed relationship with each other and have a child (or two) together. It's just that that the arguments put forth by people like M and M are so bad that I can't help but correct them.

Pfft said...

Yes, sometimes it's annoying. I accept that there's a possibility that it might all be false, but still have hope it's true. I risk being beaten about the head with the troll stick tho. ;)

What's strange about the debate is that the people that keep on insisting Ted can say whatever he wants because he does it via a BI are determined not to acknowledge the examples made where Ted did it by using Jake and Austins real names.

If you want to believe that all legal departments of big business operate by hoping that no one will sue them, then that's one thing. But you can't deny that Ted has more than just a little bit of hinted at J&A being gay/in a relationship.

As for the whole "having to prove malice" thing: How exactly can you prove that the one guy posted his address with the intention of providing stalkers information? Jake didn't have any more way to prove this than he would have to prove that someone was lying about his sexuality to destroy his career or because he doesn't like him or whatever other reason.

I love the post today. Jake already gets the smitten grin on his face when just looking at Austin, so you can imagine him starting to get a little red when actually talking about their love.

There's also something I noticed in all the interviews that mentioned Reese this far. In everyone that I have seen his answer never touches on the Reese part of the question, it's always the how he's doing or if he's single part of the question that he answers.
Either he refuses to say anything that might even remotely "validate" it after it ended (likely since that's what he did while it lasted) or the Reese mentions are always added on later.

Pfft said...

Posting the address isn't the libel - the malice, or intent to harm, would about rumors, you'd have to prove that the gossip mag had intent to harm in some way.

Posting the address is about privacy - it reveals the address to the blogs readers by printing it. This provides any would-be stalker with the information, just by printing it. A blog or publication has to be responsible about what they print.

Tom Bummer about the Flyers.

Tonight is definitely a big game for the Celtics tonight.

M&M wanted to say that too about good pick up on the 3 D. When I read the answer from Ted I had the same thoughts about the clues.

Man having Pops staying with me has throw everything into crazy. You love your parents but man at least we both laugh about it.

Good observation about avoiding the Reese part of the questions Stubborn.

Can imagine Jake blushing when talking about their love, and more so when Austin talks about Jake, what he loves about him, and them together.

Jake said blush like virgin, but you know it may be more like a blushing bride.

So very bitter said...

Don't ignore the fact that people where talking about the BIs and gay gossip in general, which I responded to.

However, I'll acknowledge all of those times Ted has used Jake and Austin's real names. At none of those times has Ted stated that Jake is in a long running sexual relationship with Austin, in contrast to the Toothy and Goose BIs. At none of those times has Ted said that Jake and Austin have a child together, unlike the BIs featuring Toothy and Goose. Which just underlines my point: Ted can say pretty much whatever he likes in a BI without fear of getting sued.

And I've already pointed out, with numerous examples, why people don't sue over gay rumors.

Stubborn has already made my point so I won't repeat it. And, you are incorrect. Public addresses being posted have nothing to do with invasion of privacy or stalking. The disproportionate threat had absolutely no grounds in a court of law. However, it is more than intriguing that Jake's newfound concern about privacy started just around the time of the BT rumors in October, 2007. Everyone can draw their own conclusions from that since we already know yours.

Also, I was responding to a poster, (probably you, hiding behind one of those many names you love to use) that asserted how actors can't be bothered to sue over every little thing. Jake obviously has a history of doing so and doing it quickly. Pay attention.

Tell that to the person who earlier tried to say that Jake could sue the blogger and DrunkenStepfather because here he could prove malice as opposed to Ted where he can't. But I guess that wasn't you who said it, sorry. Can't keep track anymore of the many, many reasons why Jake isn't suing Ted for lying.

At none of those times has Ted stated that Jake is in a long running sexual relationship with Austin, in contrast to the Toothy and Goose BIs.

First putting up Jakes picture to fit with a Toothy Item (who was with GG the whole time), then a few years later making a post equating Jake and Austin to guys and their GFs, then some time later posting an item about them doing the digital dance together. All the while making more than just a little veiled remarks about how Reeke and Sophin are both fake... sounds to me like he's saying they've been having a relationship the whole time.

Even without mentioning there being a kid in the picture, he's still blatantly putting it out there, so while he can put the racy stuff in the BIs, he's still saying the most essential things about TT and GG by using Jake and Austins names.

However, it is more than intriguing that Jake's newfound concern about privacy started just around the time of the BT rumors in October, 2007. Everyone can draw their own conclusions from that since we already know yours.

Thank you for mentioning that M&M, I wanted to bring that up in regards to the privacy concerns not being about BT. A few years back when Jake bought a new house in LA there was a whole feature about it on some entertainmment blog. They stated where the house was located and they even included aerial pictures of it making it more than easy to find it on Google maps. Jake never sued and the site was still up years later.

You're just making my point for me. Ted has never said that Jake and Austin are in an ongoing sexual relationship and that they have a child together. He does say that Toothy and Goose do. And the reason for that is because Ted can say pretty much whatever he likes in a BI without fear of getting sued.

Stubborn TB said...

You might not like it, but he had a item up about Toothy getting competition and no mention of Jake in the column and then puts up a pic of Jake with the caption "Competition?".

And are you seriously saying that Ted isn't stating they're in a relationship when he talks about them walking close to each other, whispering in each others ears, pressing their heads against each others while walking down the street doing a "digital dance" and then ending it off with saying that they're just like John Travolta?

destiny said...

M and M is right, there would be no basis for suing for saying where someone is staying. Happens all the time with stars staying in hotels, and the names of people who buy homes are a matter of public record in most places.

The threat of a lawsuit, however, is often enough to make people stop what they're doing, because they don't want the hassle, don't want to spend money on attorneys, etc., even if at the end of the day they'd win.

You see it all the time with companies and politicians going after the little guy. I've read a lot of articles recently about companies suing individuals who complain about shoddy products, service, etc on the internet, and what happens when they get sued. There was just a story in the NYT about a guy who started, I believe, a Facebook page against a towing company used by the city he lived in. The towing company filed a defamation suit and claimed they'd lost a lot of business. The article talked about all these issues.

The little guy usually has the law on his side, but deep pockets can make it hard to fight. These suits even have a name, SLAAP suits. Don't remember what it stands for, but the idea is that you're just slapping the little guy down.

Stubborn TB, what point of mine are you disputing? I'll make them again, and you can tell me which one you disagree with.

Keep Your Address Private

The first option is to become a renter. Tenants names are not public record and so, as long as you can find a trustworthy landlord, you should be alright. If you want to have more say in the type of roofing material which will be installed next fall, renting might not be an option. In that case, hold title to your property with a trust. The trust will be the public record owner of the property, you will simply be the beneficiary and the beneficiary is not public record. Don’t forget to be creative with the name of the trust. If Tony Hawk wanted to keep anyone from finding his house, he should definitely have avoided holding title in the name of the Tony and Lhotse Hawk family trust. Another option is to use an LLC to own property. Although this by itself is not as private as a trust, a structure combining trusts and business entities can be excellent privacy protection. You should consult with your attorney to form a trust or a business entity to hold property.

Conclusion

If you, or even your family member, have a very public professional position which may draw unwanted attention to your private family life, take appropriate steps to avoid public disclosure of your home address with the use of a ghost address. Renting, using a trust or a business entity to hold title to your residence can keep unwanted attention from being directed at your private life or that of your family. This can be especially important for vacation homes that you do not want to create unjust tax liability in a place that is not your tax free state home.

So while there very well be increased privacy needs due to a BT, I should think that any gossip hound nosing around in matters that are not public record could easily be slapped down with a lawsuit that could be followed through on, not just for intimidations purposes. And rightly so. I don't see how you could defend these people as "awww the poor little guy". I don't think the busybody public needs to know these things. As it was, I think they nixed that site in SC afterwards. I only know of two instance where Jake's people either filed a lawsuit or threatened to, and in both cases they were justified, IMO. General rumors wouldn't qualify.

Most of us came to our own conclusions a long time ago, based on years of watching Jake. And Ted has done everything but fly a banner behind an airplane to make it clear that Jake is Toothy. Too bad the archive of clues got lost when Ted changed formats and the Toothy BV archive was lost. It keeps newcomers confused.

Hmmmm wonder who the other friends are? Bet one is a very tall handsome Texan, who went home with guy with the great big grin on his face and little pink to his cheeks.

Sounds like the guys want to be out even if it means bringing the beard.

It also goes to show that Austin can be with Jake and not be mentioned. Because Jake just hanging out with Sophia to hang out please.

So the argument that Austin isn't there other times when it says Jake's out with friends without being specifically named is becoming moot.

turbulentmouse said...

Anything that is listed in public records is public information. Yes, people can take steps to hide it and sometimes even regular people have to in cases of stalkers but the vast majority of people don't bother. Celebs included.

The reason celebrities don't care about their personal homes being published is because they are generally set back from the road, gated and with plenty of privacy. When on location someone would get up in arms about a location being published because it's likely just a normal house on a normal street unless you are the level of Brad and Angelina and you rent castles to stay in with your brood while filming.

With that said, I still raise an eyebrow that Jake cared SO much, because they also published Jessica Biel's location right? I would think she'd be more worried about crazy fans especially being a woman and we are inclined to be more paranoid in general anyway. Most people would just hire someone to guard the house unless they are petrified of pics being taken... and why would that be?

turbulentmouse said...

Thanks SK- I think that's something people fail to grasp. Whenever they mention Jake being with "friends" why is it neccesarily different people each time and why isn't it Austin? He looks commonplace enough to blend (not an insult it's just he doesn't have a lot of really defining characteristics), especially if he just put on a hat and people wouldn't neccessarily always recognize him.

We forget I think that the vast majority of the gen pop says "Austin who??"

Here's kind of a funny.

Dad had had some leftover packages of razors so my sister & I split them up. Last night, she comes out of her room with this "wow" moment. "Wow, hey, you know those razors that were Dad's? Have you tried those? Those triple blades are great."

Whaaaaa???? I said, "Uh, yeah. Man, have you still been using twin blades all this time?" And she shrugged and said yeah.

Oh my Dog!!!! LOL! Geesh. Twin blades. I haven't used twin blades for quite awhile now.

And noooooo, these are for our legs. lol.

Back to work. Just a little pilus humor.

Actually they did. Trolls and babblers can get fired up by the strangest things. Someone had a meltdown on WFT2 yesterday over Destiny and another poster talking about Matt Bomer. It got especially nasty after someone posted a link to ONTD that included a picture of Matt hugging his co-star, and close to 20 posts got deleted by Jackie in short order.

Jake's People magazine answer is garbo because you can't spin it into "Jake and Austin and BTs" story.

People can blather on with all sorts of excuses and arguments trying to establish that Jake is straight, and is not Toothy, but it makes no difference. Most of us came to our own conclusions a long time ago, based on years of watching Jake. And Ted has done everything but fly a banner behind an airplane to make it clear that Jake is Toothy. Too bad the archive of clues got lost when Ted changed formats and the Toothy BV archive was lost. It keeps newcomers confused.

not one above poster has claim Jake str8. None.
M, What are you reading?

M has Ted ever said that Jake or Austin is Gay? No blind Item crap, the word Gay and with Child?
Please answer the question, it's a simple yes or no

No it's gabage because it's another lame attempt to sell Straight Jake, just like his recent recycled garbage about finding the right woman in GQ, and his (at age 5) precocious sexual attraction to old Martha Plimpton.

Certainly, your prerogative, but don't forget to qualify your statement that your opinion is nothing more than "your" reality.

Don't try and bring Prairiegirl into this. Your dependency on deflection and personal attacks is more than juvenile. The shoe fits on you, the cowardly namechanger who constantly asks for proof everytime someone makes a thoughtful observation or simply states their point of view. Don't forget that you cannot substantiate any of your statements either. In other words, you cannot disprove that this a BT. Or, that Jake and Austin are together. Or, how accurate Ted's Blind Items really are. Your effort to point fingers at everyone else reveals much about your intentions. And, it rhymes with toll...just add an "r" after the "t".

"hilarious, sexy, and romantic dramedy packed full of all the necessities.

Author: Anthony Pittore III (Shattered_Wake) from Los Angeles, CA
*** This review may contain spoilers ***

Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway lead a great cast of regulars (including Hank Azaria and Oliver Platt) in 'Love and Other Drugs,' the story of a promiscuous and ambitious pharmaceutical salesman (Gyllenhaal) getting his start in the Ohio market with his (and his mentor's) sights set on the big game in Chicago. His life is turned sideways when he meets the beautiful Maggie (Anne Hathaway), an artist with stage-one Parkinson's and a growing skepticism for love. Throw in a raunchily pathetic younger brother (Josh Gad), a hilarious sales partner (Oliver Platt), and a violent former Marine (Gabriel Macht) as the #1 competition, and 'Love and Other Drugs' quickly becomes one of the funniest films in years.

The film, which is like 'Up in the Air' with more humour or '(500) Days of Summer' with less quirk, is fantastically acted by the leads and supporting ensemble of familiar faces. The writing is phenomenal with some of the freshest dialogue and wittiest banter I've seen since Howard Hawks's 'His Girl Friday.' The story is also very topical, especially in the days of the fight for healthcare reform. Director Edward Zwick (Glory, Blood Diamond) puts forth one of the best films of his career alongside a list of solid past work, creating some of the most heart-wrenchingly sad and gut-wrenchingly funny cinematic moments in a while. The film is also full of some of the hottest and funniest sex scenes I've seen in a long time, so the movie's humour isn't all guys will want in this romantic-comedy. Overall, 'Love and Other Drugs' is a great variation to the 2010 romantic comedies thus far, giving something worthwhile outside of the typical 'The Bounty Hounter'-type rom-coms."

Final Verdict: 9/10.

M and M said...

Thanks for posting the IMDb review. The friend I've mentioned before who was in one of the test Orange County audiences for LAOD, called me last night and I asked her again about her overall reaction to the film. She said the audience loved it, and advised me to bring a drool cup to the theater because, besides BbM, she's never seen him looking so damn good and effortlessly create such a genuinely memorable character. She has been to several screenings in the past (works in the Entertainment Industry), but was "stunned" by not only how good Jake was (along with everyone else), but wondered why he hasn't been doing more films like this. I was surprised when she made the passing remark that she felt that the whole fake romance with you know who had hurt him with fans, When I asked "Why," she just said, nobody likes being lied to. "He needs to just come out and embrace the gay." LOL!

OMG said...

It sounds wonderful. :)

So very bitter said...

So Very Bitter, My Lovely! You have returned. Feeling unsettled, are we?

No, prairiegirl, I'm feeling very settled. It's one of the benefits of not linking my happiness to the lives of strangers.

So, let's see about the rest of your reply.

"1) When actors start to get famous, they tend to attract gay rumors."

True

One to me.

"2) Most actors as a rule avoid suing over gay rumors."

2. Don't know for sure. My point was the mention of that combined with a baby by surrogate. You sure would think that would be an issue.

But not something to sue over, given that Ted has never named him as being the father of a child with his gay lover. It would also be counter productive, for the reasons already listed.

"3) Tom Cruise is an exception to the rule, and his examples shows why suing is such a bad idea."

3. The point is he did sue. And as M&M pointed out, Jake has been quick to get his people on the phone to his lawyers.

And my point is that Tom Cruise is the exception to the rule, so touting him as an example is bad. Tom Cruise is an example of what not to do.

" 4) Ted has never said that Jake and Austin are in an ongoing sexual relationship and that they have a child together."

4. For Cryin' Out Loud!! Give me a stinkin' break!! Of course he's not going to say that flat out. Good grief, So Very, don't waste our time with this one, all right?

Do you realise that you're agreeing with me? I don't need to give you a break, you need to actually think about what you're saying

"5) Ted can say pretty much whatever he likes in a BI without fear of getting sued."

5. Precisely true. See number 4. That's why they're called blind vices. Do you think every stiff in Hollywood would stand for all their shenanigans being plastered all over Awful Truth?

No I don't, and you're agreeing with me again, so what's your point?

I'm sorry you are so sheltered, So Very. Here I thought I was the naive one. Ha! You have me beat by a mile.

Sheltered? I made five points, and you agreed with three of them, claimed ignorance on one of them, and didn't exactly disagree with the other. And since you insist on people you don't know using your full screen name, I expect you to extend me the same courtesy and not shorten my screen name to "So Very" from now on.

Unsurprisingly M and M couldn't refute my points and instead let their one line insult be the only thing they said on the matter.

It's strange that this blog now sees intelligent disagreement as a form of attack that needs to be defended against. It's strange that a poster agrees with most of what I say whilst believing that what I say makes me some kind of troll. It's strange that posters can pontificate at great length about the legal system and the machinations of PR, and yet when their ignorance of such matters are laid out before them they suddenly lose the ability to type more than a sentence.

Strange, yet amusing.

yeah the SUV issue get people nervous! Nahhhh

Some of you are amazing. Does the outside world exist for any of you? My reasons for not liking yesterday's posts are strictly about the environment. It's a little disheartening for people to continue mindlessly buying gas guzzlers, flying in the face of what's happening in the Gulf of Mexico. I don't see anything celebratory about that. It just hit me the wrong way, I couldn't care less about Jake, Austin and any brats in light of this tragedy. Yes, I feel fear and trepidation, and plenty of if, for what's happening in the Gulf of Mexico.

And all some of you can say is that we must be upset about Jake and Austin having kids, we are the spying PR. Do any of you have two brain cells to rub together, or bump into each other at least once during the day? I can't believe your entire lives revolve aroung this stuff. Or maybe that's some of y'all's idea of fun and games. A little entertainment and diversion is fine, and good wishes, but really. :(

I do use different names, and will continue to do so, because I can. If it makes me less credible, what do I care. Obviously, I'm not the only one who uses different names.

Squinty Zellweger not only resembles a lemon-sucking blonde version of Liza Minnelli, but apparently she's got the same thirst for (allegedly) gay husbands. See Kenny Chesney.

Page Six seems to think that Squinty is planning on marrying her Bradley Cooper, because she went wedding dress shopping at Carolina Herrera in West Hollywood last week. A witness type said that she looked at dresses for nearly two hours, and coyly smiled whenever someone asked her if she was getting hitched. Squints left with a garment bag in hand.

Squints is going for some kind of professional fag hag record! Maybe she actually likes spending her wedding night nibbling on a piece of cake in the corner of her suite while listening to her new husband sloppily eating another dude's ass in the next room? Or maybe she just likes weddings. And the best way to party at a wedding is to do it next to a gay!

While a straight man might roll his eyes or let out a mouth fart when they release the white doves into the sky, a gay's heart will flutters right next to yours. And while a straight dude might not give a fuck what you look like during the reception as long your ass puts out that night, a gay will make sure you look like elegant perfection from top to bottom at all times! So I get it, Squints. I get it.Michael K

I cant believe how angry I feel.

Nah, I don't think he looks plastered or even tipsy-happy. Where is everyone getting that idea? I'm not seeing it. His eyes look pretty focused to me.

But I'm not sure what is up with the chauffer. That's pretty ridiculous. Who do they think they are?

Maybe Jake didn't feel like taking the carseats out of the Q. You know, LOL, that is something that would be really, really tiresome. He and Austin would have to constantly be taking those carseat(s) in and out of the vehicle everytime they wanted to go out alone. Can't have those things being seen, can we. Actually, my sister in law got to be pretty good at that. But if there's 2?? What a pain. In and out. In and out. In and out.

Number one, Pfft, you don't get to tell people what they must talk about. You have no idea what everyone on here says the other 22 hours of their day. We all work and we all have family & friends. You have absolutely no idea what we are saying when we're not typing on here. Just because we don't talk about it on the blog, doesn't mean people don't feel awful about it or acknowledge it. How dare you insinuate otherwise.

How can anyone not know what is going on in the gulf? You're talking to some of the most news savvy people around (not myself, but other regulars on here).

And no one has also talked about the fighting going on in Greece. No one has mentioned the pets who are abandoned every day on our highways and city streets. No one has mentioned Christians and Jewish people who are persecuted every day for their beliefs around the globe. No one has mentioned victims of the tornadoes in Oklahoma the past 30 days. No one has mentioned innocent victims of drive by shootings and other senseless violent crimes that happen every day. No one has mentioned the sadness of those in our country still without work and who are losing their homes to foreclosure, not to mention what it is probably doing to their family life.

The list can go on and on and on. Thank you for bringing up the crisis. It is horrible.

But don't ever underestimate the sentiments of people you don't even know. We do discuss some social/personal/political issues on here. But for the most part, I think people discuss those things around the dinner table, in their car with partners, or around the water cooler at work. When people come here to comment & read, for a good part, it's frequently entertainment related. That doesn't make it bad. It's just the type of forum that it is.

The list can go on and on and on. Thank you for bringing up the crisis. It is horrible.

The difference with the Gulf crisis is that it was deliberate carelessness and disregard that caused it. It didn't have to happen. Acts of God like hurricanes and tornados are bad enough, yes, but we don't have control of them. We can, however, control how much gasoline we use, and make companies accountable. That's the difference.

I'll speak up about something I feel strongly about regardless, just as you do. And "Bomer" isn't on my radar, to the one above.

You sounded so pathetic though because no one was paying you any attention, so I took pity on you and tried to answer your little survey.

Actually, that's one of the craziest statements & generalizations I think I've read. What about Denzel Washington? I don't think I've ever read any such rumors about him. What about Michael Ciara? What about John Forsythe? What about Justin Long? What about Jack Black? What about Jude Law? What about John Corbitt? What about Mike Myers? What about the deceased Bernie Mac? What about Drew Carey? What about Patrick Dempsey? What about Meryl Streep? What about Sandra Bullock? What about Angela Bassett? What about Betty White?

Do you realise that you're agreeing with me? I don't need to give you a break, you need to actually think about what you're saying

No, actually I don't. Of course I agreed with you. Ted has come as close as what was pointed out earlier. But he isn't going to point blank say it in a neat & tidy sentence just the way you want it. It's called a blind vice.

I'm sorry if you believe Jake is straight, isn't hitched, nor is a father. I'm sorry because that does limit your choice of playmates around here.

But that isn't my problem, it's yours. And you are just wasting your breath, hon.

Political and social discussions are part of the blogdom too - I don't see where it is written that it can't be discussed outside of home or work? Maybe the difference is our socially and politically aware Wicked hasn't been around in awhile. Promoting SUVs was ill-timed in yesterday's post, I thought. Another difference is that our human problems affect us; this deliberate problem caused by human greed is affecting other creatures who didn't ask for it. There's an urgency to it. People have been forced out of work and their livelihoods may be permanently lost. With 6 billion of us on the planet and counting, we're not going to go extinct anytime soon, but a lot of other inhabitants of the planet may. And then to top it all off, the company may walk away from the mess.

You sounded so pathetic though because no one was paying you any attention, so I took pity on you and tried to answer your little survey.

Prairiegirl, please don't be foolish enough to think that you are in any position to be casting judgement on the way in which people use this blog to cry for attention, unless of course you are using your own ample experience in this regard. When I start posting here about my job, my church, my hobbies, my nieces, my pets, my lunch, what film I watched this weekend and what chapter I'm up to in my latest piece of fanfiction, then you might be able to say something about how pathetic I am. Until that day comes, be careful about casting that first stone.

Actually, that's one of the craziest statements & generalizations I think I've read.

What's funny is that my statement is regarded as a truism when it comes to acting business. What's even funnier is that the list of people you don't think have gay rumors about them do in fact have them. Drew Carey, Jude Law, Mike Myers...just google them. And the trend gets even more apparent when you look at things like level of fame and "attractiveness" (the more famous and good looking an actor is, the more likely there are to be gay rumors).

I'm sorry if you believe Jake is straight, isn't hitched, nor is a father. I'm sorry because that does limit your choice of playmates around here.

I don't come here for playmates. I have plenty of friends in real life, and don't need to find any via a blog, so save your sorrow for the people who need it.

But that isn't my problem, it's yours.

It's not a problem for anyone, except those how just hate being disagreed with. For sad individuals like that there really is no hope.

Sophia for an emmy? How low can you go. She's pretty, I'll grant her that, but a mediocre actress at best. How many ways can you cry or kiss. That's about all they do on OTH.

That vehicle (with Adam and Jake) looks like it's for hire or a rented limo. Not hard to get in LA. Huge business down there. Not that much more $$$ than a cab either especially when you share the cost and plan to drink a bit. They hang around the same places cabs do offering their service.

I don't think Jake and Adam were ever an item, but I have always noted that many men around Jake have a similar look. An early crush perhaps.

When you get a loaner car, its always the same model. If you go to Audi for service, they are not going to give you a loaner Ford. Jake said he has an Audi anyway so end of a useless argument.

Wow! I'm so humbled. You actually took note of all my comments regarding those topics? Someone actually does pay attention!!!!!

I've always wanted someone who clung like velcro to every word I wrote. Now I have proof.

I'm all aglow. Why, I'm almost ...I'm almost blushing. Just like Jake!

What topic do you want me to go on about next? Any requests?

Hey! Do you want to come to the baby shower? The invitee list can't be without my number one fan, my...devotee, my new best friend forever.

Sweet dreams! Until tomorrow!!

Dear Ted:
You and Team Awful undoubtedly are so over talking about Robsten. Obviously Robsten's been a hot topic, but what celebrity (or celeb couple) have you been asked the most questions about during your career?
—Monica

Dear Good One:
Three-way tie: what happened between Tom and Nicole, what didn't happen between Brad and Angie and who the hell Toothy Tile is.

Dear Ted:
If a Blind Vice's vice has come to light in the news, would you be able to reveal the star's real name?
—Amanda F

Dear Extra Extra!
Great question, but really it depends. If the news story is their only Vice, maybe. But a lot of our fave B.V. stars have multiple secrets, à la drugs and sex, or attitude and a beard, etc. in which case they'd remain Blind.

Alright! The Celtics bench came out took back the game in the 4th and scored 36 points. Thank you Big Baby Glenn Davis.

It's all tied up now 2-2. One more game in Boston, Sunday and then there will be at least a Game 6 in LA next Tues.

Go Celtics. Beat LA!

Sophia's publicist submitted her for consideration for the Emmy's Best Actress nomination for OTH. And with that I pose - Question? Comments? Thoughts? Concerns?

Question: Do you think the publicist was drunk at the time, or simply creating a bucket list of top ten ludicrous things to do before they die?

Comments: If you value your soul, stay away from Sophia Bush's publicist.

Thoughts: Mind numbing

Concerns: To paraphrase the movie critic, Judith Crist - “In appears that to be a Hollywood publicist, you have to have three percent education, five percent intelligence, two percent style, and ninety percent gall and egomania...in equal parts.”

Triple Dog dared or Court ordered.

Comments: If you value your soul, stay away from Sophia Bush's publicist.

Soul or first born child, it's a toss up.

Thoughts: Mind numbing

Kind of like your head after trying to calculate the probability anything on OTH actually happening in real life.

Concerns: To paraphrase the movie critic, Judith Crist - “In appears that to be a Hollywood publicist, you have to have three percent education, five percent intelligence, two percent style, and ninety percent gall and egomania...in equal parts.”

Can't say it any better than that.

How to shut down Adam Levine's game? Hang with Jake. LOL

• New BFF alert? Jake Gyllenhaal and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine joined forces for a guys' night out at L.A.'s Las Palmas Wednesday night. The Prince of Persia star was happy to people-watch and sip a drink while his buddy entertained. "They were telling each other jokes and funny stories all night," says a source. Though several ladies tried to catch the guys' attention, the boys "didn't put much effort into snagging girls."

Hey, cool! Austin, you've been replaced.

Sounds like Couples Night Out for Jake, to me. I'm sure they looked good together, actually. What a picture I'm getting. Why don't we get those kinds of pictures in the club? I usually don't like Adam Levine's slicked back hair look but in those Nero pics, he looks pretty sweaty hot, lol.

Jake has that being-courted look to him.

PG- I hope you are being sarcastic.
There are way too many reports of Adam being a manwhore... with the ladies for me to ever think that he switched teams. Not even for Jake.

LOL! said...

Of course he didn't 'switch teams" . Some posters here are uncomfortable with Jake hanging out with straight dudes for whatever reasons. Look how some got their panties wet over marcus Mumford, LOL!!

PG has to be kidding with the date night quote and why SK bolded that part of the article when she must know that Levine has a steady GF. Yes he is a pussyhound But i doubt that he would be openly trying to pick up chicks in that place, he would get busted!

Levine and GF:

LOL!- Now that makes more sense as to why Adam wasn't flirting with everyone around him. I didn't know he had a GF, thanks.

PG, you're seriously one of the biggest shit-stirrers I have ever seen in my life.
You can't stand it if there's even just one hour without any fighting, can you?

Congratulations on welcoming the trolls back, good job.

"the more famous and good looking an actor is, the more likely there are to be gay rumors"

Good point.

As for Teddy motivation, it's pretty clear he has a BIG crush on jakey, that explain a lot.

Dear Ted:
How closeted are our favorite closeted stars? More specifically, do their families know? Like Toothy and Crescent. Are their parents and siblings in on it? Or are they as blind to their Vices as the general public is? My family—namely my two adopted dogs—know all of my vices. They are the very best secret-keepers.
—Elizabeth

Dear Open House:
Depends on the DL fellow, really. Some, who are more in the "experimenting" phase (Crescent Kumquat), keep it secret even from good old mom and pops. But those guys in more knowing times of their sexuality (Toothy Tile)? Usually the fam is in the know and, more often than not, happy for ‘em.

Those who come here to constantly criticise every post that Special makes remind me of the looney talking heads on Fox who twist every move that Obama makes in order to advance their own hateful agenda.

Whhhhaaaaa? I would daresay that Special's posts get mostly compliments. But, as they say, ya can't win 'em all.

Is there anything wrong with FOXNews? I like to watch read a variety of news reports so that I don't get stuck into an ideological rut, CNN, HuffPo, Time, Fox, PBS, and I love the BBC. In fact, I think it's my favorite. Make a note of it. Have a nice day! :)

FOXNews online was also the only place I could easily and straighforwardly find information about how to help with the Oil Spill Crisis, at first. Help is help, regardless of ideology. And I'm a liberal Democrat and Obama supporter.

I'm going to use a phrase that I don't often like that's one of the mantras over at WFT2, especially for the self-centered PrairieGirl:

"What are you, 12?"

She does seem to like to stir in a child-like sense.

Clarification for Clarification said...

Clarifaction, The quote you responded to refers to the talking heads on Fox, not to Fox news in general. I'm guessing the looneys the poster was referring to are Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc.
