Aww, they looks so happy and content together! I hope they are still a couple and doing well. I agree with someone in previous threads who mentioned Austin looked very serene and happy with his life in the ACL pictures. I also got that feeling from Jake in pictures before Rome so I think they were doing just fine before the charade started.
If you look at the pictures you see consistent patterns. Jake always walks to Austin's right, but sits to his left, except in the workout picture. It is interesting how they have such distinct consistent patterns.
Almost, as if, they are a couple. ; )
I'm going to take a wild guess - their sleeping pattern is probably the same as their sitting pattern, Jake to Austin's left.

Aww, Jake and Austin. Never has so few pictures told so much of a story for a couple.
I like all those pictures except the Lakers II one - nothing will ever convince me Jake isn't fighting back tears in that one, and Austin is all miserable and tense as well. Makes me think more that they were/are a couple actually.

As for the "Nailed" info in the previous post, it says Jake and Jessica have NOT signed onto the project. Considering it is supposed to start filming in January, it would be hard for Jake who I imagine will still be filming Brothers. Plus he has the moon movie coming up. I don't think he should be slagged off for this yet.
Isn't Brothers a long shoot?

Bit late but I just had a look at the last thread and Clippers driver guy is definitely Glasses guy at Borders. Hopefully that means Jake was spending some time with Austin and friends before Austin left for filming.

I just wanted to address the question as to why Jake would do Nailed--Three Kings. That is a great movie imo, and it was a career booster for Mark Wahlberg and George Clooney, who I think were taken a lot more seriously as actors after this movie. I wouldn't mind seeing Jake play a sexy cad.
Three Kings is a great movie! And sometimes a movie plot sounds awful but totally works onscreen. If Jake does this film, I hope that will be the case.

If he thinks it ridiculous, then why is he participating in it? Besides I think he was laughing at the questions: "Is Reese madly in love with you? Are you going to propose marriage??? Even if you believe that they are real, those questions are just plain silly(the ink on the divorce papers aren't even dry yet!) and meant to get a rise out of him.

You can laugh (although I'm not sure why he would, seeing as they have "come out" now), but he literally cracked up at the suggestion that there was any love or even the possibility of a marriage between them.
Was him making a disgusted face in that other video when asked if he was dating Reese (before the Rome photo-ops), "just what you do", too?
Yeah he laughed on that TMZ video pre-Rome and looked what happened? Not only did we get Rome Amore, but LAX, the beach and bonding with the kids on Halloween. Yeah, it's a gut-buster dragging kids into it if it's fake.

actually i don't think Jake was laughing at the pap's quetions. there are other people talking, we only heard the pap cos of the mic. Jake looks like he didn't look which vehicle he should get on, maybe he was just laughing at that.
Re Nailed. I don't really Three Kings, but it's an alright movie, but the first Bourne david o'russell made was excellent. I think the Matt Damon and George Clooney connection might have something to do with why Jake was attached to the project, if he hasn't signed on to do it yet.

We absolutely have no idea how Jake is with Reese 's kids. He went trick or threating with them, that's all there was to it. All that PDA stuff going on as described by the tabs might be the usual shit from them, I am not very inclined to think they actually did it, especially since the paps were around and how comes no pics of that and not even pics of Jake and Reese together. The actual public PDA went on in Rome and I have not seen any after that.Please that video on the beach could have been me consoling my friend because he had a fight with his boyfriend.

Just saying that those pics can't be explained away later as friendly, sure they could "break-up" but the kiss was meant to be seen as romantic.

I have to say, in the latest video, he looked a little pissed/annoyed that the paps were hounding him again, at first, and then he pulled up his armor of civility - I think he was laughing at the situation, not what was being said. :)

Jake's parent's house? I mean didn't they just sell it? The pics give no indication about where they were taken. And considering X17 said the pics of Jake at Staple Center were taken in Brentwood... They both look desperate/terrorized, and quite honestly have no idea what's going on.

Y'all try to drive Mulholland Drive/Hollywood hills area of LA with flashbulbs going off in your eyes. YOu'd look scared too. I hope, if he and Reese move in together, it won't be in the hills.
I've driven it at night and find it daunting as is, so I know that lights flashing in my eyes would cause me to pull over and call a friend. Jake is a brave and a good driver.

IF they always were a couple, clearly the tabloids were right about some of the sightings. Jake and Reese always mangaged to avoid being photografed together until late july, now they get caught several times each week. Judging from the last pick and the video on halloween, they seem to want to be left alone. If they so badly want this, why not go back? I mean, if they`re not ready yet, they clearly must know how to avoid the paps, judging from all the previous sightings.
I just don't buy that the families of Jake and Reese would go to the lengths of faking a relationship for PR purposes, nor do I believe the children would be used. Nope, sorry. I'm inclined to believe Jake and Reese are real even if it breaks my heart.

X, I don't think she's pregnant, judging by her figure in the dress she wore on the red carpet in Rome. But giving a kid a ride on her shoulders isn't a good argument against it--women may have morning sickness from heck at that time, but they are certainly able to heft a kid up. The human race wouldn't have gotten so far if women were too debilitated by pregnancy to take care of their other kids!

Sorry, I'm with (losing faith Tb) and as I have said some time ago. Jake and Reese are dating. I love Jake and wish he was with Austin, hey Chris would do for me. But people keep saying if you believe Ted to, Justify the J/A relationship, but you can NOT forget that Ted also said that TT was BISEXUAL. And most do believe he and Kirsten were real as I do also. I'm a longtime TB (right from the start) and If I believed anything that Ted has written about TT is that he was Bisexual and involved with a man (Austin), Chris???-Hmmm, just joking. Most everything else was suspect for me.

If I remember correctly Ted said that Toothy "intended to come out" as bi not that he was actually bi. He said that he liked his GF very much, maybe I'm wrong but this could apply equally to great friends and/or lovers.
Personally, and those who've read my posts in the past already know this, I've always thought his relationship with Kirsten felt rather... tepid; some of the "oh la la we're so in loooovvvve" pics appeared staged to me. And again, as with Reese, he was with a woman who was far more famous/successful than he was. Wouldn't be surprised that TT had, with Kiki, a serious try at a straight relationship only to find that ultimately his real cup of tea was from Texas.

Jake Gyllenhaal = Toothy Tile
One of Ted Casablanca's top Blind Vice subjects is Toothy Tile. He has covered him for a few years now. He is a closeted gay actor. Ted has excluded MANY actors but has never excluded Jake Gyllenhaal. Toothy supposedly has a serious boyfriend, who is suspected to be Jake's close bud Austin Nichols. In future posts we shall dissect Toothy Tile in more detail. But for today I will just share the nugget that appeared in Ted's column today. It was a blurb about the so-called relationship between Jake and Reese Witherspoon. Here Ted hints that we should not believe the hype...
If you regularly read this column, you prolly know we haven’t exactly been gulping down the Gyllenspoon Kool-Aid like the rest of the rags, wonder why? Something about the sudden PDA sessions in front of the paps right as Rendition premiered smelled stinky to us—among sundry other suspect celeb goings-on. But that was all before we saw the pics of Jake (or supposedly of Jake, as he was wearing a giant gorilla costume) trick-or-treating with Reese’s tykes, Ava and Deacon. 'Cause, surely, if southern sweetie Reese is not only introducing Jake to her kids and having them all spend holidays together, there must be something more to their relationship...right? Unless...of course, it’s all just one big PR ploy to sell a dead movie, and certain other parties—who mysteriously don’t make it into press-release-esque photos of the dimpled duo—have always been there in the background, too, and Reese and Jake are just good buds. For ince, could Ryan still be hangin' round, trying to slink back with his fresh ex? Just a question here, dearies, and a preachy proviso to not always gobble up everything you read, this missive included.
Also, later in the column, Ted mentions Jake's close bud Austin Nichols when suggesting that Reese and Jake to to a basketball game like he used to do with his buddy. Hmmm... I am taking today's comments as a big affirmation from Ted that Toothy is Jake G! I don't believe the Reese rumors for a second. I smell a big ol' publicity stunt!

It's reference to Proof, I think. Jake, Anthony Hopkins and Gwyneth Paltrow starred in Proof in 2004.
The implication is that Jake *is* pretending to recycle another female co-star. Care to guess which one?

I dread these videos and photos. It seems that Jake is only happy when he's with his real friends. He looks miserable, confused or angry everywhere else.

Someone before saiad Ted wasn't current because he didn't know that Jake had 1 dog, Atticus. But I don't think it was a mistake, I think when Ted said 2 pooches he meant Atticus.....and the bitch (Reese). He never says Reese's name in that paragraph because she's already been included as one of the 2 pooches. Good one, Ted!

Wicked, I think it doesn’t really matter at this point. Both these places – the lover’s/parents’ are good enough for those who want us to think we’re witnessing some “serious commitment”.
When that showmance began, I ground my teeth and thought ok, the guy is HW from his (gorgeous) head down to each and every one of his (probably well-manicured) toes and he’s been paired with a powerful tigress who’s a master at image control… so let’s show understanding and patience for our TT. What I was not expecting is this seemingly endless circus. I’m starting to believe they desperately want to appear on People’s Top 5 Most Read Stories.
OK, weird thought but: what if Reese got inseminated with Jakey's stuff (remember they were supposed to be spotted at a doctors office a couple of times), she's pregnant with his child, this fauxromance thing goes on, she has the baby, but they don't get married because by the time its born the "relationship" is over, they kinda have a fight over the custody but Reese relents and gives the child to Jake since she already has two of her own, he raises it with.......???

I'm tired of this whole fauxmance already. They can't seem to decide how they want to play it. One minute they're completely available to the paps (pdas included) and then the next minute they're hiding from the cameras (or at least pretending to hide). Something about it just strikes me as very fake.
I'm basically ignoring all of it and hoping for a new photo of J&A. At this point I'd be happy just to get a new photo of Austin. I don't think we've had an updated photo of him since the ACL Music festival.

I've read time and again that PR teams often tell the paps where their clients will be to ensure exposure. Wouldn't it be surprising if money changed hands in this case? I don't think so.
As much as I love Jake, I've often thought that his countless "every-day" shots had been set by his team to try and keep him in the public eye. When you’re not that big a star, at least in the mainstream arena, what could justify such a slew of pics? Hey, not that I’m complaining right? :D

Jake's team is now aggressively targeting Reese's territory. They want Jake's name and face to be ingrained in the SUV crowd's collective mind once and for all. No more pussyfooting. The gay/gay-friendly angle will have to take the back seat.
As for the rumors, they obviously thought Reese's image and reputation would help quash them for good. In fact, how many times have we read both here and over at WFT that an A-list like Reese would never stoop so low as to beard? I still think this showmance will not end as quickly as I’d want it to. But then again, what do I know… maybe the future will prove me wrong.
I’ve just re-read the above and decided to post it even though this may sound like I’m dissing Jake. Believe me I’m not. I really think that I’m talking about could be applied to pretty much any actor in HW at one point in their career. For me this bearding game is an opportunity to do some kind of “rewind” to re-examine what I’ve learnt about the fabulous world of celebrities. :D
And now I'll join my voice to those who are longing for a new Austin pic (sigh). Can't wait to see him show up on FNL.

Re Reese's stomach in the beach pics- it has been speculated before that Reese was pregnant when she had a little belly bump and she wasn't. Didn't she sue a tabloid or something over that?

I think Jake should dump his PR people. I dont see where any of this is helping his image. He's been mentioned as gay in the blogs more times in the last few weeks than ever. The Reeke campaign may be aimed at print media, but I'm not sure those readers give Jake more than 15 seconds thought. Plus how can they keep this up through to his next movie?
On another topic, lots of doubters that Austin and Jake are together suddenly. But I totally believe Ted's NYC sighting. I just don't think a company like E would permit him to use real names unless they had solid evidence that it happened. If it was a BI hint, OK I'd be 50/50. But Ted's words displayed total confidence. In fact, every time he writes about Jake/Austin, he's been very bold. No punches pulled. I would not be surprised if he has seen enough with his own eyes to be sure they have a relationship. I'm pretty sure Ted has visited a gay enclave or two himself over the years.

My thoughts on the latest sighting: pft! Obviously, the paps just snapped a couple of pictures of the two and no one knows where they are coming from.
I don't know what the hell we are being sold anymore. People are screaming the romance is fake and every picture of Jake (who before Reek blew up was glowing with happiness and joie de vivre) has been of him either stiff/miserable/furious or terrified. Why is that if he is soooo in love he wants to jump on couches and scream his love out? It needs to be repeated: the only times he has smiled have been when he's been with his male friends. Nice to know the romance is going so well he needs to be consoled by his friends after dates.
I'm not giving up on J&A but I am getting furious with this BS narrative we are being force fed. Whatever happened to alternative and innovative storylines?

I found a new article about The Informers in the main newspaper from Uruguay. It’s long and it says nothing specifically about Austin but apparently a lot of changes have taken place in the filming.
It says they start filming today at the Sheraton hotel with actors Rhys Ifans (Hannibal Rising) and Mel Raido (Derailed). From Thursday they will film in a sound stage including the rock concert scene.
Actress Simone Kessel (the director’s girlfriend) is already in Uruguay but not filming yet and Mickey Rourke will arrive mid-November.
Brandon Routh’s character (the vampire) was eliminated from the story. Ashley Olsen will not be in the project and was replaced by actress Amber Heard (Californication).
Also, it says that because there are so many stories and characters in the film, the actors are filming just a few days each and it is not necessary that they stay for long. It says that more actors (unspecified) will arrive during November.
Kim Bassinger, Billy Bob Thornton and Winona Ryder already filmed their parts in LA and will not be in Uruguay.

What i don`t get IF Jake and Reese are for real, is why so surprised being caught by the paps and why still try to hide? It just doesn`t make any sense to me. They must have known there was a chance they got caught. To avoid all this if it bothers them so much, they could have taken separate cars.

There's a lot of people banging nails into the coffin of Jake's career lately. Not defending Jake, and everything he does, but that's a bit premature.
Show me an actor who hasn't had (serious) ups and downs in their career. I love Anthony Hopkins, for instance, but he has made some shit films. Hilary Swank - two Oscars and sice then? Sandra Bullock - her latest was one of the Worst Ever Reviewed on Rotten Tomatoes. You know what I mean.
Some actors come back up with a critical/box office hit when you least expect it. For some the lull turns into a trough. Generally, I don't put the blame for a flop just at the actor's feet, especially not if they're just trying to do something outside the HW norm.
As for this Nailed film. The director has an interesting history. Look at his film called Spanking the Monkey. (Yes that is a euphamism for masturbation).If I outlined the plot for you: young guy, lonely, ends up in a r/ship with his mother you'd probably not be too impressed. It's actually a good movie.
I quite enjoyed Spanking the Monkey too and have rethinked my opinion about Nailed. It could turn out to be a quirky satire and just the vehicle Jake needs. He really should put his skills as a comedian to use.

Look at Russell Crowe. I can't remember the last time he had a hit. I think ever since that telephone throwing incident, people were avoiding his movies because they thought he was a jerk. But his latest film, American Gangster, is a crowd-pleasing hit. Okay, he's co-starring with Denzel (and that's really his movie) and the story is great, but this must be great validation for him.

That's why this feels like the "same old" ECF. This happened last year. The rumors heat up and Austin disappeared for months. Last year Jake was supposed to be with Natalie Portman. Austin reappears when it all seems calmer. This time there is PDA. Will Austin reappear? Why can't Jake be pictured with Austin if the rumors are bs? Stay tuned in to As the Toothy Turns.
