I am, too quite surprised by how many mainstream rags now stating clearly that Jake has gay rumours... i really think this Reeke thing has backfired. I have male friends who didn't get the "gay vibe" from Jake before now think maybe he is gay... one of them said, "what kind of hetero hot guy wants to go out with Reese Witherspoon? when he could sleep with 10 Angelina Jolies?"... lol.

I like how they drop in a film industry insider to locate the reason and timing for the gay rumors. Covering up behind them in order to say what they want to point out. I like it.
Justin has a great body (I'm sure you were just interested in his mind, Jake! LOL) but his face is too bland (like a lot of male models). Austin is far cuter.
I'm sure Justin and Jake spent many hours discussing politics, world literature and going green. If this is true, I wonder when they had a relationship. And is Justin based in NY or LA?

Thinking back through all my teachers -- never one as cute as Austin. And that was probably a good thing - I would have never learned a thing. : )
6:38AM: How can you be "surprised"? Un Touch is not the 1st mainstream rag that has brought up the gay rumors. Last year The Star did in April '06. Also in 06 NE had a list of rumored gay actors and they declared that Jake wasn't. In August of this year JJ pimped his recycled TT BI's to his pals at NE. Of course they already heard about TT as have the rest of the mainstream mags have and did a story that disappointed not only JJ but you lovely folks as well.
I know you become giddy when you think the mainstream media is going to jump on but as I pointed out they really haven't. JJ's 2nd atttemt flopped and Ted's item was a dud, not even the usual blogs bothered. Even Perez's comments are taken in the context of they are pimping their "legit" relationship fto help save a bomb movie and promote themselves like Lainey has said. As of yesterday he was still pimping them posting about them trick or treating, this IN Touch story was already on the newsstands.
Also, a number of people have said that there were gay rumors about Jake before BBM, but this article clearly states that it's because of BBM like NE and the Star has said. In Touch is still spinning for PR, bringing up rumors with one hand so they can dismiss them with the other: It's becaus eo f BBM/it's Reese that wanted to keepit quiet not Jake and of course the description of them at Hudson's party.
As far as Jake and Reese are concerned the pics of them in Rome, the airport, the beach video and the Halloween pics all IMO were put out there as "private" moments between them, yes even the Rome pics, they were "sight-seeing", they will not most likely attend any industry events together because they consider that "work" as Jake said and they don't bring their dates to work.

This article may clearly state that but that's just a lazy assumption that a lot of people make. Just because they've printed it doesn't make it true. Do you believe everything you read?
Toothy started and Jake was identified as Toothy before anybody had seen BBM. (March 2005, BBM first shown in festival September 2005)
BBM has intensified the rumors I'm sure for those who assume any guy who appears on screen kissing another guy must be gay. Tbs do not assume that. I've never assumed Daniel Day-Lewis is gay, for instance, despite his great performance in My Beatiful Laundrette as such.
I'm hoping that Austin makes his first appearance on FNL tonight. The basic description of the episode doesn't reference Julie's new teacher, but it could be a quick introductory appearance leading into the story that will develop in future episodes.

There was a Gawker comment about a yr or so ago about someone taking a model(male) back to his hotel,then throwing him out immediately afer sex. Happened when Jake was in NY and some hints it may have been him, but the story died immediately. If this is the same story, I apologize for repeating. Look forward to reading whatever it is.

No, you people are getting confused. According to Kenneth's blog, he got an e-mail from a very well known gossip columnist who told him a source told him that Jake had a relationship with a model. The gossip columnist googled the model and found that he had been the subject of a feature on Kenneth's blog. Kenneth discovered his article on Justin came up first on Google search of him--and he knows that Justin is gay. So he put two and two together and deduced that it's Justin.
The gossip columnist isn't quite sure of the authenticity of the story (according to Kenneth) but he says his source is sure of the story.
I see no reason at all to believe anything about Justin without photographic evidence. I'll entertain sightings of Austin or Reese without the photos because a relationship has already been well-established. But I even take these with a grain of salt depending on the source and how embellished the sightings seem to be.

I agree the North African actors were really good in Rendition. But Jake was good too. I felt Meryl did not blow absolutely anybody out of the water with her over the top clique performance. I know she is a respected and generally very good actress, and I loved her in many movies, but this one oh gosh. And it kinds of ennoys me that epole go oh ah evry time she gets on the screen without really earning it. Bleah. Reese was miscast and gave a pretty bad performance.
Zero, I felt that Omar Metwally was the real star of Rendition. I was prepared to really hate Reese because I hated her in the previews saying, "I just want to know he's OKAAAAAY!!!" I found I liked her better than I thought I would but did not think she was good. I thought Jake was solid. I also really liked the North African actors' storyline.
I agree, Wicked, I was very taken with the North African cast, Omar Metwally and Yigal Naor, but especially the two young people, Fatima and Khalid, no different than young people anywhere, but growing up under an oppressive regime, especially for women. I found that to be heartbreaking. Jake was wonderful in it, but I wish there had been more of his character, it was an important one. Peter was good too. :)
You're right NETB, Yigal Naor was fantastic. Jake had some of his best scenes with him. I also liked Peter and Alan Arkin in their scenes together.
So, was our Austy on FNL tonight? I've got it DVR'd if he was.
Did anyone see Friday Night Lights? I didn't see Austi Spumanti, did I miss him? It seems like a pretty good program, this is the first time I've watched it. And further about Rendition, to me, all of the roles carried equal weight, no one character dominated the movie, except perhaps Omar Metwally's role, even the mega-stars IMO. There's a scene of his of basic human dignity that got to me, among the many that did. Truly an ensemble endeavor, and all very good performances. It's really a very good film.

yes fantastic North Africans actors were most impressive and strong storyline(seems to me stronger than rendition point)they carried was beautiful and sad - "We are all on the same boat.", I think that was what movie wanted to say too.
By no means Reese had Oscar performance actually somehow for me she was sympathetic, all right, but I can imagine Michelle Williams better to fit the role. None of Americans actors did exceptional job but movie as complex as I said as first is "different story".

Wicked for me it was Yigal Naor the most compelling. I travelled many times to muslim countries and I know middle eastern people and his portrayal is very convincing. BTW, Yigal Naor is not from North Africa, he is Israeli. I thought Metwally was good but not exceptional. The young north African kids were great.

Ted is as usual a very naughty boy and no way is he jumping on the bandwagon. He couldn't be more obvious he thinks the whole thing is a steaming pile of one pooch poo.
And speaking of pooches, Bitter, Ted isn't in Jake's fandom so he doesn't need to know the ins and outs of dog life in the Gyllenhaal clan to know the ins and outs of Jake's love life.
