Austin will debut tonight on Friday Night Lights as a Julie's teacher,Noah.
It looks like he will be at Dillon High for 5 episodes, but in television that equation means he will be in for sweeps in November followed by FNL repeats and then be back for two episodes in January. So get a little now and save a little for later to start the new year off right. And Noah may return with another arc later.

I'm not sure I can handle Austin looking like Billy Idol. Billy Idol must be really sick of people copying him. I remember Brad Pitt bleaching his hair after he and Jennifer Aniston broke up. In an interview JA said something like, "Hey Brad, Billy Idol called. He wants his look back." Austy better watch it or Billy's gonna be calling him!
Just catching up with the discussion of Ted's new BI I read this:

From the beginning of BabyTile I thought two things (and said them at the time):

I don't think that's helpful to anybody.
He's playing Martin in The Informers!! YEAH!!!! That's the best young male part in the book!!!!!!!! Although I'm wondering why Graham's name was changed to John.

Anyway, I'm SOOO glad Austin is playing Martin, a sexy role that is and fun. Martin also ends up directing a music video starring a band that goes on tour with the rock star depicted in the book (which is probably why Austin is/was in Uruguay).

Maybe I shouldn't mention this but I read in one of the MANY threads about the wine country Jeese shots that in one photo, it looks like they're walking with a guy who looks just like a "blonde Austin Nichols." I didn't pay any attention to that but I can't help wonder now that we know Austin dyed his hair blonde to play Martin.

ITA, Destiny. I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw this. The best part about it is that it gives us some idea of what he's been up to and finally some real news about his roles in FNL and the Informers. I was also thrilled to see that he's been keeping in touch with Milch. Seems that the people who work with him are anxious to work with him again. Both FNL and Milch want him back. :)

I am going from memory here but didn't Ted post a warning to Toothy once before, a little before JJs article surfaced. You know someone out there has pictures, especially if they have been attending parties, dinners etc. within their gay friendly circle. They are both very sociable guys and it makes sense that J&A did not sit home every night by themselves.

In other news, Jake is on the cover of Esquire as one of the best performances of the year for Rendition! Read it HERE. Jeff Wells, the blogger at HE doesn't agree but the author of the Esquire comments positively on Jake's performance in the comments section. I am glad Jake is being acknowledged. I think he was great in Rendition.

Finally my computer is working again.
I`ve been thinking about the summer of Jake and Kirsten and all the publicity they got. You also had summer of Mance...and all that publicity. Both times Jake/Toothy and the boyfriend/Austin broke up. It seems to me the intensive involvement with other people that leads to distance between Jake and Austin in these periods, have been too much for them.
I have to say(though i hope not), i think they once again might have ended their relationship. Seems to me Jake is spending too much time with Reese if he still was in a relationship with Austin.
I wonder if Jake now has gone a little crazy?...Doesn`t quite know what he`s doing, and their relationship ended around the time Jake decided to go public with Reese?
I wonder if Reese, in company with their PR-people, thinks she can "cure" him, and he might think it`s worth the chance...because he`s, well, a little out of himself. I think they are best-friends these days and are cuddling a lot, though i don`t think they sleep with eachother. When I saw that video of Reese rubbing Jake's back on the beach, I thought it looked like she might have been consoling him. Well, I must say I was highly amused when Austin's character mentioned he went to the same school I did. The difference though is that we were forced to study the NY Times while we were there; it was only afterwards, we read what we wanted.
And at that school, the j-school, as we called it, we were taught, "You write to express, not to impress." That's what Austin should have said to Julie when she used that ridiculous word for talkative.
It's the people in the free seats that complain the loudest. Compensation is always a good idea when a business deal is involved, if for no other reason than to maintain bargaining power. To someone making $29 mil a movie, $1mil may seem like a courtesy amount. Maybe she will donate it to her church. Noone would call Penelope A list. Considering that J&R are the hot topic of conversation these days, good chance it's J&R. I think ent lawyer does like to be topical and often follows Ted's items with a related story.

I watched FNL. He looked very cute, had the stubble thing going on which I think looks very good on him. In terms of the acting he was fine, it's not exactly a role that calls for anything special the way JFC did. He was on a lot more than I expected, so that was nice.

I'm on PST and the show just ended. I thought Austin did great. I have not watched the show before, so could not follow the story that well, plus I am not a fan of extreme close ups, but it was so nice just to see Austin. I was surprised he still had the JFCish hair. Not very teacher like, but then I've been out of high school a very long time. Anyway, he got off to a good start so I look forward to more episodes. I prefer TV to movies these days, though must admit I seldom watch network TV. Too many commercials. I stick with HBO, Showtime etc. TV arcs allow more time to develop characters than movies, if done right. I think Austin majored in english and writing, so his characters background made the part cool too.
So...only a 2 episode arc?

I couldn't watch FNL when it was on, I am planning watching when I get back tonight.
