When the sky was falling Foxy Loxy lured Lucy Goosey and the rest of them, but I think in this case Goosey could be called Foxy Loxy too.
Austin didn't have any trouble with this scene -seems he has the delivery down pat. Somehow think he's used this approach before. Consistency is key. He clearly knows how to stay on task.
You think he ran some lines with someone just to be sure he was ready for rehearsals with Sophia? Great performances come from great preparation.
And Brooke speaks the truth - that grin should be illegal.
As for the sky - it might rain coffee - just doesn't mean to believe everything you're being told

You know what I don't think Jake could pull this scene off. Austin is really really smooth - he has this natural bravado that just comes through. Jake seems to use a more quirky, innocent in a way, to seduce on screen.
That grin and those bad eyes like a gypsy does Jake even have a chance to resist Austin. I don't think Austin has been innocent or a pushover in anything that has to do with those two.
Good, good old song today. When I was playing the OTH clip, at first I thought that song was playing in the background. I saw Julian & Brooke's lips moving, but couldn't hear what they were saying. And I thought what the heck here? They're making out & I can't hear it! Then I realized I was listening to today's song, lol, and had to start the clip all over again.
I'm good, I'm good!, guys, thanks. Sometimes, I realize when I'm getting a little too snarly & I have to lay off a little bit. Call it defensive blogging, if you will. No need to expose you all to that nastiness. It does a person good to just sit back & kind of just observe, look back at stuff, try to figure out what one's thoughts are. I can't see the clip, but I agree about the differences between them that comes across in their acting. Jake is more reserved, while with Austin you feel like anything goes, and he is totally comfortable letting it all hand out, for lack of a better word, if that is what the part requires. I could never see ;ake doing something like the Informers, for example. And yet we have the parking garage and similar stories, which is supposedly Jake's doing. Funny how Jake's persona on film is so different. And here I am thinking of the gooberball side of him too.

I unthinkingly made my annual eye appt for 8:30 this morning. What was I thinking. But I love my eye doctor. He's handsome; he's very thorough & he cares. He listens to any questions I have. I like to make him laugh; get out of that seriousness that doctors have, you know. Appts should be fun, I think. He had me look at this stupid piece of grey card; said there was a picture in it, what was it? I sure couldn't see it. I said maybe a kidney bean? I said there's no picture in there. I tried later again & I really, really tried. I said what in the heck is in it? I stared the heck out of that stupid picture. He said a star. I said that was really stretchin' it. Shoot, everyone probably sees it but me.Do you ever feel like you just don't see as well as you used to, tho? Always reassuring to leave there & be told that everything looks good.

m, I agree. I looked too. I don't know why. I also rubberneck at bad car accidents and big ol' unclean, unshaven for months' truckdrivers downstairs at our shipping/rec check-in window who have 2 yards of you know what showing above their sagging sweatpants, too. Call it what you will, it's not attractive!! But like, you can't help it. It's right there. Doesn't mean you don't then look away with distaste on your face. Man, I really did not need to see that.

And now some big exciting news! Wicked, can I tell? It won't be a secret, anyways. I have my airfare to D.C., people. Going to D.C. the first weekend of April to visit Wicked, the Mrs., Tink, Peabunny, and the rest of the Wicked household. I got a really good deal; there are some great airfares out there. My ticket cost $170+ something roundtrip. First excursion to the northeast, ever.
PG - totally get the sitting back and observing sometimes I do that with lots of stuff. Just let us know you're there-or we will have posse out looking for you. I know that prairie - ha ha.

As much as I like seeing Austin, and he does look scrumptious in this clip, I don't like him kissing others. I'd love to see him kiss Jake. Agree that he looks more comfortable than Jake with kissing scenes. Of all Jake's screen kisses, they look a bit off, except for the ones with Heath. Those look like real kisses. I wonder if Austin kisses a man in The Informers.

ONTD had a clip of Zach Braff from Letterman. I mention it because he was talking about getting his pilot's license after his Disney contract was over. He said when you are under contract with Disney you cant do anything, no waterskiing, no motorcycle riding, they own you. So maybe all Jake is able to do these days is walk, jog and drink coffee. I'm even surprised they let him jog on public streets. Uneven pavement, road hazards.

You know, I knew that NFL teams kept their players from doing certain things. But I never thought an actor could be kept from doing certain things. I don't get that. Oh, **sigh**, I loved that movie. I bet I saw it 100 times. Had lines memorized, for gosh sakes. It captured the innocence of baseball long, long ago. A simple ballfield and guys who played because they just loved the sound of the ball hitting the leather of the glove and the crack of the bat hitting the ball.
I might catch some grief for this but I have been thinking about Mrs. G. and how she took part in that little flea market charade a few weeks ago. I have lost a lot of respect for her.
I wonder if she was thinking about her son or herself that day. In my opinion if Mrs. G. wanted to take part there was no way Jake could stop her. She is on line she knows what people were saying about there being no reeke/G family pics.

Both Jake and Austin have different approaches to on screen kissing. Austin seems to be more of noisy nibbler, and Jake more of grab and go. Now off screen, you wonder... But I agree M, Austin look more comfortable kissing on screen, and that only time Jake seems in really at ease was when he was with Heath.
About The Informers, Austin sleeps with both Martin and Christie and since Rules of Attraction (another BEE book to film) has similar theme of bisexuality, I don't think they would shy away from showing two guys kissing. I don't think Austin would either.

Have the new presidential-elects always done this train ride thing? I don't remember Dubya doing it, but then I've never really paid a ton of attention to the whole inaugural activity.
You know, I was scanning through a bunch of photos from 2004-2006 in the paparazzi section of IHJ and I came across a set of Jake walking with Maggie somewhere in NY in 2006. There were quite a few in that set and they looked really interesting. Maggie looked to be somewhat along in her pregnancy (it was kind of funny how her coat couldn't close and the belt was kind of straining, lol, but she looked really wonderful) and Jake was just talking away. Using his hands & I mean, just a jabbering. Quite seriously, too. So many other pictures of him with her, or him with her & Peter.
And I just found it so odd that there wasn't a brother/sister pic at the Globes. And I looked at those pictures and saw him really airing something out. We all have those people in our lives that we just pour stuff out to. Ask them what they think of something. Can't wait to hear what their take is on it because we value their opinion so much or have just been friends with them so long that well, it's just not right until you tell them, no matter who all else you tell.
On Lifetime, they have one of those permanent signs down in the righthand corner of the screen about the "Red Carpet Premiere" of Prayers for Bobby next Saturday, I think? Those things usually irritate the heck out of me, but I don't mind that one, lol. Talk about bias, huh?

PR Girl maybe the reason reeke didnt make an appearance at the Globes was because Maggie was there. You know the general was dying to go. Lets hope TDK gets nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars that again will probably mean that Maggie will be at the Oscars. I have a feeling Jake may have been sitting with Maggie at the GGs though. I saw him chatting with someone right near where the TDK table was.

Jake was chatting with David Fincher at the GG, not Maggie. Neither Jake or maggie had a table. Maggie left for NY that same evening, there were pap pics,probably due in NY for rehersals for the play.

Interesting about Disney. I figure that was the reason for the heavy duty bearding, but now I wonder about other things too, like bicycling. And if POP does well and there are sequels, how many years is he going to be under their thumb? On the other hand, it's not like we saw Depp on daily coffee runs with his wife. don,t know if that is because of the gay rumors, Depp having more power, or not coming from Disney at all. Depp is another one who doesn't play the tabloid game.

I do like Jake's acting style as well, and it has worked very well with the films he has been in.
I like Austin's kissing scene with Sophia; I also really liked him with that actress in Usher. Great chemistry with both.
Jake does seem to have more chemistry with men, but other than BBM he hasn't really done any steamy sex scenes, and I can't imagine he wouldn't be okay.some of it is just being paired up with the right person. Paltrow for example has zero chemistry with everyone, imo.

Destiny I thought the Jarhead sex scene "doing homework' LOl was steamy. All we saw was the side of Jakes face and he wasn't kissing her (but who the hell was looking at his face) so you might be right about no chemistry. Other movies of his sex scenes, meh. BBM kissing was the best. What ever happened to the Jarhead actress? After doing the sex scene with Jake its like she ran away from HW. LOL
Jarhead was definitely steamy. And he had chemistry with Jen in the Good Girl. Proof was proof that Gwyneth is cool as ice (but it worked for her in Possession).

Tom Reese did the new giant woman animated movie the one where the promo is at the Superbowl. Don't know about her others and IMO she ain't worth the time to look it up. The giant woman animated movie cracks me up becuaes its probably one of the few things she can get anymore: doing voice in a recording studio. No co-actors or crew have to deal with her, maybe a director there but probably not very much and no one has to see her chin or her bad acting on screen.

I agree reese can bring in the crowds and she works very hard to promote her movies. But I dont see reese being any fanboys dream.
It remains to be seen if PoP will be a box office hit. I really believe that it was moved to 2010 because of the strong competition it would face in 2009. So depending on the summer competition in 2010 and how much disney is willing to spend on promotion will determine how much PoP makes. Jake is no Johnny Deep but if it is the only game in town ala 4xmases it will make money.
Another thing, NA honcho Sumner Redstone is THE cog in the HW out-gay wheel. Change won't happen until after he goes. Trust.

SF Chronicle mentioned a special screening of Prayers for Bobby held this past week. In addition to popcorn they gave everyone kleenex boxes so I guess we better be prepared for a good cry.
Prairie Girl, Ennis will be back from vacation soon in Stranded. Can't wait.
