There is something in his picture for People that caught my eye and got me immediately. And its right in the forefront. Where did Jake's pinky ring come from? Or come back from? OK My Bad. It's an old picture. Thanks for the correction.
Always seems there is a short list of guys who pull the pinky ring off . Rappers, Regis Philbin and Ringo Starr.

Well I think he said that he bought the ring for himself when he was asked about it several years ago. It didn't "come back". That photo is not new. If you check the IHJ galleries under misc. photo shoots, the pics were added back in 2/2006. I would assume it's from an earlier photoshoot sometime in 2005, I didn't have time to check but he wore it in 2005 along with some other rings and other jewelery that he stopped wearing, except for the now you see it now you don't chain.
Can see the ring a lot during promo for Proof, Jarhead and BBM in '05, i think that's when the pic was taken.
He did buy rings for himself including a black diamond ring that he referred to as an engagement ring to himself.
But this picture didn't look like it comes from 2006. Why? Well Jake has matured since then. His beard is different. And why would People use a stock picture from 3 years ago for one of their finalist?
Maybe it is an old picture. But then again - why would People pick a picture that has him wearing rings he hasn't worn in years?

As for sexy pictures, nothing tops Jake smiling in a flirty way at Austin at Lakers1. Jake looks like he is going to ravage Austin at any moment. They both looked sexy as all get out that day.

Supporting our soldiers, and showing it by doing a USO show, has nothing to do with whether you support the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I would guess that people who do these USO shows fall all over the polical spectrum
Supporting our troops, the men and woman who willingly stand in support of our country has zero to do with supporting war.
These people protect our freedoms in this country and they do so for little pay and way less thought by the average american.
Perhaps more attention would be given to them if joining the armed forces was required of all americans, if there was a draft.
It amazing to me how Hollywood continues to use the soldiers and their stories for material and how little the industry does to support them.
The days when or actors and actresses inlisted, when Elvis served as did many others are long gone. The days in which Bob Hope and many talented names came out to show their support is no longer as important.

I think Jake is not the only one Jaded.
Right now Jake is living a hextro life with Reese. That's the impression and the image he has put forward. His co-star is talking up how much he loves his mother, sister and girlfriend.
He is spending all his downtime with Reese, even if it is for apperences.
I'm not even interested in the logic are they or aren't they anymore. I think Jake is phony because he has become part of the image crazy A-list crowd. He is guarded and overly planned out.
Not willing to go on the record about anything, not willing to show his character, he is vanilla.
I think Toby M could also do some good and visit the troops, I stated that earlier.
As for Austin, he is still accessible, still willing to get real in his interviews, still willing to make a fool of himself with his answers. Still driving himself around, still walking the streets like everyone else, still flying on the same planes as everyone else. No body-guard required, no handler to push away those around him.
I personally think that Jake's relationship with Reese is legit.
But they are very much in the mix when it comes to playing the A-list game and not being real, selling an image.
As I think Austin & Sophia's is as well, just that I think they are way more grounded and real. Less worried about who says what and why.
Reese couldn't deal with a public divorce or the truth of her husbands cheating was becoming public, she kept it under-wraps for way longer just to keep up an image.
Sophia kicked her cheat to the curb.
Reese would never date as many co-stars as Sophia, she would be to fearful about her image.
It seems Jake isn't allowed to speak Reese or the kids names, ever.

As for the film [Brothers] itself, well, I wasn’t as impressed as Pete Hammond was, but I do think it fits nicely in what has become a great trio of Middle East war films this year. I was less enthusiastic about Tobey Maguire’s performance than I was by Jake Gyllenhaal’s more natural portrayal. In fact, it seems that every time I see Gyllenhaal in something, I’m reminded of how underrated he is as an actor.
The real story of the film, however, is the casting of Bailee Madison and Taylor Geare, two absolutely amazing young girls who knock it out of the park. Much credit is due to Sheridan, of course, who has shown in the past his ability to get great performances out of children. But these two ladies have talent to spare. It was a really nice surprise.

Jake had played in a band in high school I thought. Didn't Alex Greenwald from Phantom Planet, and was in Donnie Darko, said something about it Jake and bands and high school I thought.
But in Bubble Boy you can see that Jake knew what he was doing playing Jimmy's electric guitar during Land of the Lost theme.
Think sometime there was a mention that Austin plays the guitar as well. And we both know that they can sing.

Happy news from friend of mine. They have been approved by state of NY for the adoption of twin boys. They are going to pick up their sons right after Thanksgiving.

Long time ago, about a year ago, a poster did prove it here on this blog that it's Jake's legs. Had comparisons and analysis of the freckle pattern, leg shape, calf length, the faint white scar line and Austin's face angle. No one noticed or cared?? Seems like you all would rather keep wondering about it and asking about it every other post than believe evidence that someone already proved.

"Shades of Grey" was published, by Dreamspinner, the same company that carries Sienna's, and a number of other BBM writers.
Never quite got the squee appeal of it, though. Just like MadLori's Zero story. Read just like every other fic out there, not really original premise and with slightly unbelievable characters.
Guess I just prefer stuff that's more unique and innovative.
